165: I Wish You Were Here.

The ride to school that day was silent. Davids knew it was going to be boring without him around anymore but Brian had promised to be coming twice a month which was better than not coming at all.

"Don't be sad, I am always there, call me, video call I am always there," told Brian after he noticed that she was not her usual joyful self.

Davids flashed him a smile and faced the road. They didn't pass by Daniella's place today because she was driving with Vin in the same car. 

Even though Davids thought it was a bad idea, he didn't want to think that Vin will do anything bad to her. 

"Have you texted the group, I want to be the one hand in the clothes myself," asked Brian as they stopped at the parking lot.

"Yeah," said Davids as she tried to scan the lot and saw Daniella busy on her phone. Scanning for others, Damien was an early riser so probably he is already in the library or class. 

She had to call them again so that they can meet before Brian leaves for New York. 

After gifting them, they were all grateful, even Victor who didn't think he will he give anything after the little event that took place in the field was happy as he received something from him.

"Why don't you stay a little while, I am going to miss you," said Daniella as she clings to his neck.

"I will try and visit okay, I not going forever plus I need you in my modelling academy so do your best with classes because I always look at results in cooperation with the New York school of arts I am in charge of the models," told Brian and Daniella nodded. 

"Trust me, I am going to be in your class after next year and it will surprise you," she said and Brian chuckled but Davids knew that things might change with the baby things. She was still thinking of how to convince her to focus on her classes first before they get married.

Daniella kissed Davids and left her talking with Brian. Davids didn't want to let him go but by escorting him to the car she knew it was time to say her goodbyes.

Brian rubbed her hair and her locks crumbled down because Davids had not tamed them into a tight bun.

"Don't be sad now, you will make me cry all day," said Brian.

Davids laughed and slapped his hands out of her hair. Brian grabbed her and hugged her tight before letting her go. 

"Come on dude, stop being this way," complained Brian as she looked at the stiff Davids. 

Davids sniffed and higher him one again. This is what happens when Brian is going on a long journey and it will take him a month or two to come back home. 

"I will miss you, just call often and I will be okay," said Davids.

Brian wiped her tears and punched her cheeks playfully. "I will even be there for the music day which is going to be your last music in high school I will be available," said Brian and Davids nodded.

After their long moment of talking and saying the endless goodbye, Brian climbed into the car and drive off leaving Davids standing in the parking lot alone.

The day went on well, the classes were boring but Davids had to cheer up and participate in them. They had presentations in maths and physics and it was part of the final exams. Being the group leader he had to lead the whole group properly so that everyone can pass their exams.

"Hey, cheer up, you are always funny and psyched we need that for today's presentation," said Damien as he saw him frowning.

She nodded and slapped her cheeks playful to get herself ready for the class. She wanted to do good work before and she knew Mrs Tamima will be angry if she is not keen on the presentation today.

Daniella on the other hand was debating with herself. She had laid awake the whole night thinking about herself and Davids. She knew what she wanted but that was not the same thing when it comes to her mother and Vin who is acting as her father every day.

'Dad, how I wish you were here,' she thought as she remembered the man she saw yesterday at the restaurant. 

Browsing through the pictures that they had taken together with Davids during their little trip which were safely saved in a secure app. During the dinner when she bought her an expensive hand embroiled dress to make her feel worthy and the heels that she feared carrying back into the house because she knew Vin would be all nosy about them.

Looking at the next picture where Davids carried Ashley in her back as he walked back into their rooms after the party, 'you will be a great parent,' she thought to herself as she caressed the picture.

The last picture was when Davids was half-naked, she heard her shirt off and only a sports bra to cover her breast and her built body was just staring at her while her waist portrayed the V-shaped figure like a real man. 

"I don't know what to do with you baby, I am stuck between telling you the truth and betraying my parents and just acting like a good girlfriend till I find out what you are holding," she said as she admired the beautiful picture in front of her.

She tried to go through her gallery and find a reason to betray her mother and Vin. She couldn't feel any connection with the pictures that she took with Vin. They were just normal pictures. Most of them, Vin was not even concentrating on them, she had to force his face to look at the camera every second.

"It's either you want to concentrate in my class or you want a man to teach you how to understand normal organic chemistry Daniella," shouted the teacher as she grabbed her phone from her hands and looked at the picture of Vin.

Clara shot her a glance and they communicated through hands sign but their teacher threw them a glance and they had to stop. Clara couldn't stop thinking that probably Daniella had something important to have her got lost in her phone, so she write a short note, stapled it and sent it to Daniella.

Daniella was able to answer it so they had to wait till break time to have a conversation.

After their classes, they all jumped to the music room, Mr Nossy was early as usual. In his huge vintage sweater, he had earlier borrowed Davids saxophone and was trying to blow some tubes into it using your tube as a teacher.

Davids watched him and chuckled a little starting him from his practice. 

"Oh, Mr No...." She realised that she was about to say Nossy and quickly shit her mouth.

Instead of being mad at her, Mr Nossy chuckled because she knew his student had nicknamed him.

Davids used the few minutes to teach him some basics of jazz before allowing him to blow some tunes into it.

She prepared the room waiting for the rest of the members to join her.

"Have you ever thought of joining Music school in future?" Asked Me Nossy after trying to play the Jazz but in vain.

No one has ever asked Davids that question. She picked music because she is passionate about it but taking it as a course is another thing altogether.

Her dream was to take over her dad's business and that is what she has been working on by trying new ideas that will be cooperated into the company. Join her father in business meetings when she is free to know how things are done.

"Not, mister, I love music and studying it will be something else," she said picking the saxophone from Mr Nossy.

"I thought you were thinking about it?" Davids looked at the way he was saying his words with seriousness in it. 

"Hey, I'm not that music pro, I love it but this is not my thing. Maybe I can write lyrics but I am not a good performer but music is not what I want, I can do it part-time," Davids said sincerely.

Me Nossy had thought of a way to convince her to join one of the great music schools around the area but he was disappointed that She was not into music that much. He understood her.

The members started arriving one by one and the last was Daniella. Though everyone was against her coming back, Davids had to sweet talk them and allow her back because they couldn't work without her.

"Are you guys ready for the grand music performance?" Asked Mr Nossy and every member shouted, "yes!"

They had to be creative and come up with various ideas on how to capture their audience.

The show was in two weeks but they knew how to work faster within the stipulated time.

"What about a musical drama?" Asked Victor.

They had to agree on one thing for the performance since they were the last performance of the group. 

Debating between normal music and a musical drama most people settled for a musical drama because it will involve music and drama. 

At last, they settled on the musical drama, they came to with an idea but all the ideas fell on romance drama which was on everyone's idea. 

They had to pick a prince and a princess but they decided to change the version to support the LGBTQ+ Davids and Daniella was chosen for the role, though Davids was afraid that she was not a good actor, everyone encouraged her to try it because of the good chemistry they had between them.
