__ A New Leaf__

Emily stayed in her room for the past few days refusing to eat or talk to anyone.Thonney decided to check up on her.

"Emily please eat something, amara said you're not eating".

Emily turned over the bed and said nothing.

"You can't continue like this , do you want to starve yourself to death?".

"I don't want to eat anything", said emily.

"No you will, even if I will force you ".

"I miss lolu , I really want to be his friend again even if he doesn't want us to be in a relationship".

"Then you should talk to him ".

"Am I truly a bad person?", Emily said.

"No one is saying you're bad , but you need to change your ways".

"But how ".

"Stop being selfish and treating others like they are not human like you and Emily, you're too proud ".

"Am sorry, thoneey you need to help set things right ", she said with a sour expression on her face .

"You have to set things right yourself ".

"Do you think I should go visit lolu ".

" I think that rights ", but first let go and put something into your stomach .

" Thoneey thank you", she said as tears dropped from her eyes.

"Nah ,you don't need that ", that's what your lil bro can do for you .

"I need to apologize to amara for never treating her right ", but do you think she will forgive me?

"Look no one is above mistake , and perhaps amara is a nice girl ".

She stood up, wobbling and went out into the kitchen with thoneey , amara was cooking when they came in .

" Amara," said Emily .

"Yes ma'am do you need anything".

"No , can I talk to you?".

"Of course you can ".

"Amara, I am really sorry for how I have treated you badly , can you please forgive me?"

"It's fine , have forgiven you".

"Can we be friends now ".

"Sure why not", they both laughed.

While thoneey coughed , he has been standing at the door for a while now.

"Enough of the drama , you guys should stop making me jealous",said thoneey.

"You're not serious", said emily.

"What are you cooking amara? '', they said .

"Yam porridge, do you want to taste ".

" Yes, put some for me on a plate and I am really famished", said emily.

"Emily when you're done eating ,get dressed and let's go to lolu's house".

"Okay sure I will".

Amara serves emily hot yam porridge. She eats the food hurriedly like a hungry dog that has not been fed for a year.

The bell sound got Monife's attention.

"Who could that be? ".

"Stand up , you don't know if it's dad ", said lolu.

"When I get back , make sure you tell me what happened in the movie ".

"Okay ma ", lolu chuckled.

She stood to check who it was , she opened the door and was surprised to see emily and thoneey .

"Omg!! , "Come in please".

"Good Morning", Emily said as she gave her a hug .

"Morning , hey thoneey wassup".

" Fine babe ".

Immediately lolu saw emily, he hissed and went upstairs to his room.

"Don't be offended please, you know lolu act annoying sometimes".

"No, it's fine , I will go upstairs ", said emily.

" Okay , but if you need anything just call me ", said monife.

"Lolu can I come in please" , emily said .

"Emily what do you want ?, he said as he stood at the door.

"We need to talk "

"Fine , come in '', lolu sat on his two seater sofa .

Emily knelt down and started crying.

"Lolu am sorry for always being selfish to people and the way I am only self-centred".

Lolu smiled , "finally I think someone as talk some sense into your brain ".

"Stand up emily , come and have a sit ".

" Thank you ", she stood and sat beside lolu.

"I want you to know that people you are treating badly may be the ones to help you in future , don't look down on people as if they are nothing".

" Yes , but sorry I disappoint you emily".

"It's nothing lolu , I can't force you to like me ".

" Thanks for understanding".

"So when are you going to Canada".

"Am very sure by tomorrow I will be there".

"Anyways congrat I heard you hit the top list".

"Thanks , oooh that I never knew I would".

"I will be in the state by next week too , I'm enrolling into oxford university".

"Wow, what are you studying".

"Computer science and you".

"Wanna be a medical doctor".

"Wow , that is a nice course but not really easy ".

"God will help me ".

"So what do you think , we should go to an emerald pool ".

"Hmm , let's call thoneey and monife then , those two must be up to something ", he smiled .

They both went downstairs seeing the two lover birds playing.

"Hmmm , someone should stop oppressing us ooo", Emily said.

"Single life hurts me today ",lolu said while laughing .

" This one both of you are laughing, what Popping", monife said.

" Must you know ", said lolu .

"Ee Nnh now you guys are leaving me behind ".

"Babe it's just that emily has changed, she is a new leaf now ", thoneey replied.

"That sounds great , I love the new spirit ", said monife.

"Guys let's go to the emerald pool" , said lolu.

"Yuhhh , finally I will get to swim today ", molife screamed .

"It nothing, have a safe journey home ", said lolu.

"I pray she stays that way ", lolu chuckled.

"By tomorrow you will be in school".

"Likeee , am really nervous about it I pray I everything will be fine ".

"Look at you , you will be fine okay and I guess you will be the talk of the semester".

"That why you girls are so annoying they won't stop crushing ".

"So you're scared of us ".

"I will just snub", have a great sleep.

Lolu entered his room and immediately he heard his name.

"Lolu please can you make me custard"
