Ch 35: Mothra's Leg

'Now, while Kong said don't destroy the eggs, he said nothing about taking them.' I then teleport all of the Skull Crawler eggs around the island into my inventory, thoroughly cleansing the island of them and giving me a good couple hundred of them for my inner world, as there are probably thousands of them in there now, which should act as a good compacters to get rid of trash and other things and knowing how things are in there, they can and will be put down by the rest.' as I then teleport to the peak of the mountain me and Kong where standing on before the battle and see Kong still staring at the battlefield.

'You okay, Kong?' I say through the link as I morph into Kong and walk towards Kong to see if he is okay. But he just stares at the wasteland, empty of corpses and blood. The only signs of conflict are craters, the small holes made by the multiple spears, and several tunnels from the Crawlers.

'I know they were invasive and would kill and eat anything they came across, but we just killed all of them with you doing most of it, and after I got back, you were still tearing through them all, and the way you cleaned them up, you just removed all there bones than crushed them together what would have been huge piles of decomposing bodies is now gone leaving no trace.' Kong says as he solemnly stares at the battlefield and starts regretting having me help him deal with the Skull Crawlers.

'Kong, what you see that I did is not how I usually act, but that still isn't a good excuse. but you also need to know that things like this can end up being common in the future, so while I will not say to grow used to it or numb yourself to the pain that is watching an entire species be wiped from this island but, to preserve it instead that feeling makes you moral and something you shouldn't lose.' I say to Kong as I place my hand on his shoulder.

'Livyatan, you said the entire species is gone. What did you do with the eggs? I said not to destroy them,' Kong quickly asks, fully realizing that part of what I said, then quickly turns towards me.

'I didn't destroy the eggs but simply removed them from the island so they could be somewhere they would more properly belong and not be a parasite to the surrounding life. That way, life here can thrive while keeping the future population of Crawlers under control, unlike how they were here.' I say to Kong, and he then starts to calm down and nods, seeing that what I did was for the betterment of the island and the Skull Crawlers.

'What do we do now, though? They were one of two things truly keeping me on this island as I prevented them from destroying the Iwi tribe and the life on the island,' Kong says as he starts to think about how long he truly has to stay on the island now.

'Well, I can take you to a new home if you would like your ancestral home, but it would have to wait for at least three or four years. That way, I can make a passageway and make a deal with Godzilla.' I say to Kong as he thinks what his ancestral home might be like. He then thinks back to his parents and how they would describe it before a Skull Crawler killed them.

'Okay, since you could teleport me to the cave, can you teleport us back? You have been spending the entire day here besides when we made the trip, but that didn't take long,' Kong says as I teleported to the cave and watched him walk towards the corner where he slept yesterday. He tiredly rests his head on the wall before falling asleep.

'He does have a point, though. With the Crawlers gone, he has no real reason to stay here. He never did in the first place. The only reason he ever did was to protect the Iwi tribe from the Crawlers and ensure they wouldn't overrun the island. Still, with them gone now, there isn't a reason for him to stay, which means I need to go meet with the big man tomorrow or just go now.' I lean my head against the wall and look at Kong before teleporting into Godzilla's lair and seeing it empty.

'Must have changed where his lair is. That way, Mothra can stay with him, which is slightly annoying but not hard to find the new one.' I then spread my senses halfway around the world before spreading my telepathy across the entirety of it and find Godzilla and Mothra in a cave near an entrance to Hollow Earth.

'So he decided to move even though this place wasn't destroyed.' I then morph into a small lizard before teleporting into Godzilla's lair and crawling towards the big man's face as he sleeps happily, but I turn to the side and see Mothra looking at me before looking away.

'Hello, Mothra. It is nice to meet you finally,' I say through a link to Mothra, causing her to turn back towards me before resting beside Godzilla. She allows herself to be warmed by his radiation and warms him as well in kind.

'So you are the annoying new titan my husband has been discussing. Thank you for making sure Ghidorah or the Humans didn't kill him, so you have my gratitude. I would also like to say thank you for being annoying to him. He has grown too tired and apathetic to everything since I last died,' Mothra says through the link as she gives a loving look towards Godzilla but also a sad one while also looking at me in gratitude and a bit of amusement.

'I will happily annoy him and protect him, so there is no need for thanks, but I will happily accept it. Though I would like to know what was the reason for your last death and what must have taken so long for you to come back if he became this detached with you being gone.' I ask while thinking about what must have happened for this incarnation to take so long to be born.

'It's a long story, but it mainly deals with my brother and my dear husband here getting in a fight as usual before some idiot decided to kill me and burn my entire body.' Mothra says as she thinks back to that and just sigh through the link at the idiot who killed her and that interaction between her brother and husband.

'So, it is a mixture of family conflict and someone making it worse by intervening. I can also assume that the big man blamed himself a bit because he couldn't help or protect you.' I say to Mothra and receive a small nod as she looks as if she is having a flash of memories.

'Though that being said, my brother is in worse shape than I was and probably won't be coming back for at least another decade or two, which means me and my husband should have some time for ourselves for a bit or at least until someone decides to challenge him like always.' Mothra says as she puts one of her wings over Godzilla, sees a small smile form on his face, and releases a sigh, or at least the equivalent for him.

'That wouldn't surprise me, knowing how he is and how he has acted with your previous deaths, though I have a question for you: Do you think he would give up the right to rule the hollow earth? That way, a friend of mine can take it back from Skar King.' I ask Mothra and see her start thinking about how he might react.

'He might, as long as your friend doesn't try to take control over the surface as well, so I believe no problem will be made from it, especially since he owes you as well since you dealt with Ghidorah and even healed him after he was hurt,' Mothra says as she removes my decisions about him possibly saying no.

'That's good, though I do see at least one problem since my friend is from the same species that is known to have a rivalry with Godzillas.' This quickly makes a small mental frown grow on Mothra as she quickly rethinks what she has said.

'You're right. That might make it a problem, but he is just old and grumpy at this point, which I'm trying to change, and I will be able to change that with enough time so that he will accept it.' Mothra says as she looks over at Godzilla and nods to what she has said.

'Well, that's good, and it's also good to know in the future that he will be better in the future, though I am about to make a strange request from you: how good is your regeneration, and if not amazing, can you heal from radiation.' I ask as I prepare to get asked why, but she just sighs before putting one of her legs forward.

'I know that you have been taking a part of every titan, and I also know that when you ate the Muto's, you gained their ability to release a type of radiation that is beneficial to the environment, so go ahead, my healing isn't the quickest, but with radiation being used to help me I can heal faster so make it quick.' Mothra says, causing my eyes to widen a small bit as I then bite and tear her leg off, quickly eating it, then starting to infuse the wound with radiation and watch it heal.

'Not bad, and it will definitely be useful in the future.' I finish swallowing the last bit of Mothra's leg and watch as her leg finishes growing back entirely and, making sure that it works as well as the previous.

'Thank you, Mothra, especially since I know that being asked if they can eat a part of you isn't normal in any fashion—well, at least for titans, it is for humans.' I say to Mothra, and a separate part of my mind laughs at what I said.

'You're welcome. I hope whatever you gained from it was useful, especially since it cost me an arm and a leg,' Mothra said with a joke of her own, which caused me to laugh more mentally.

{A/N Yes, I know the jokes are bad, but I like them.}

'So now that we have done that, I just need to talk to the big man when he wakes up, so I will be leaving then and traveling a bit through Hollow Earth as there are some things I need to do now that I'm finally down here.' I say to Mothra as I walk away like a little lizard.

'Okay, I won't tell him anything about our little meeting, and I believe we are even now since you helped him, and in exchange, you got my leg,' Mothra says as she cuts the link and starts to lean on Godzilla, slowly falling asleep.

'Fair enough,' I say as I teleport to the entrance to Godzilla's cave and start looking over hollow earth. I already sense a small group of warbots in the distance; the most powerful MUTO of them is Doug.

'Okay, I have to make sure to stay away from them, as Doug shouldn't be messed with,' as I nod to myself about Doug's power and morph into my usual form before teleporting a good five or six miles away.

'Now that I'm away from Doug let's start my small hunt and then get back to Godzilla, as he should be awake by then, hopefully. ' As I spread my senses over Hollow Earth and cover most of it, I start teleporting around while staying out of Doug and Skar's range.

'Not a bad collection, and I wasn't expecting the Tree Mimics to taste as good as they did. Now that I have done that, I just need to deal with Skar King and Camazotz. Then It's time to leave, though I do sense some other MUTOs, in the area.' As I then teleport into a cave and see what looks like Anguirus.

'So MUTOs from other iterations of Godzilla are, which confirms my earlier conversation with Ishirō about there still being unidentified MUTOs.' as I walk into the cave and look at the sleeping Anguirus.

{A/N Well, I hope you all liked the chapter and the talk with Mothra, as well as it is shown that there is the Kaiju from other versions of the Godzilla universe, which will make the story possible more interesting and, if not just for the fact I can add them to the Inner World also there might be new Kaiju that I will add from pictures I find online that I like and feel will fit into the universe.
