Chapter 18: Great Rewards, Obtained flare crystal

Finally, I relaxed my tightened heart.

[ Beep…. Killed one (mid)Tier-1 Commander Ranked Nightmare Hound. Since the Nightmare Hound was a commander-level monster. SP increased by 3 times, Obtained (40*3)120 SF points.]

[Beep.... obtained Nightmare Hounds Den crystal... Can incorporate the crystal into the territory to recruit three tier-0 Nightmare Hounds daily. Doesn't require any SF points to recruit the Hounds]

Listening to the strings of the message that was flashing in front of me, I was definitely happy but I wasn't in the mood to check out these rewards right now. Our main priority was to return to the territory as everyone including me was tired after such an epic fight with the Commander-level Nightmare Hound.

Orc had fainted after killing the Hound cancelling his raged state in the process. The wound in his chest had slowly stopped bleeding. He lay peacefully in the pool made up of blood.

The only person who had some energy to actively store the drops from the Nightmare Hound was Goblin. He was gobbling anything he got from the Nightmare hound greedily.

" Let's return..",

I told the three people in front of me before carrying Orc over my shoulder.

Goblin carried his lower body while I carried the upper torso of the orc while returning.

Lilith and Lily were both guarding our front and rear.

We didn't get ambushed by any monsters while returning, only some skeleton soldiers were seen standing with their glowing eyes from time to time.

They all had been immobile, trapped in illusions by Lilith and Lily while clearing the forest around us.

"Huff...."

My back was soaked with sweat. My body finally couldn't handle it before I lay on the ground after entering my territory resting the Orc on the ground beside me.

His had already stopped bleeding but the bone-deep wounds on his chest would take some time to heal itself. And I didn't have any potions to help him right now.

Lilith and Lily were also seated beside me, their eyes were drowsy as they had utilized their soul power too much while fighting the Nightmare Hound earlier after it was able to break the illusion while fighting the Orc after getting into rage mode.

As for Goblin, He also had slumped beside me, he was sleeping soundly with drool coming from his mouth. The greedy look was still plastered on his face.

I could only shake my head looking at him but he also worked hard today as he also carried the orc with me from the den of the Nightmare Hound to the territory.

I rested for some time before I exited from my territory.

" HUFF...."

That was a battle.

My heart was still thumping hard once I woke up on my bed.

I looked at my palms, they were faintly glowing, much less after my talent went into the cooldown for one month when upgrading my attribute and two succubi yesterday.

After looking at my palms which were more refined after becoming a lord for some more time, I stood up from my bed relaxing every muscle and joint in my body that had gone sore for no reason.

After that, I sat on my bed checking in some messages from the group.

( Ding....! Member Raju( The lord) has been added to the group..)

" How are you doing The ORC master?"

" What's up brother.?"

" Are you having fun brother??"

Raju was having a bad day today. He was first smoked by his schoolmates this afternoon.

And now, He wasn't even able to leave the group to get himself free from getting spammed with unnecessary messages as he was literally added into the group within an hour by the school administration.

Well, It didn't matter to me so I didn't bother with little scuffles in the group at all.

I wanted to know about the other two lords that had the best talent and potential from our school along with Raju. They literally disappeared from the group yesterday.

" I mean it when I said LITERALLY....! They both weren't in the group at all."

Well, The matter of those two students also didn't affect me. But, I definitely was curious about the drastic measures taken by their families.

They didn't even think once before using their family's influence to remove both of them from the group.

" Were they planning to shock everyone with their warriors during the trial this month.?"

I didn't know but I wasn't worried about their daemons as they still needed about a week before being able to collect enough SF points to upgrade their territory into tier-1.

Also, they wouldn't be able to nurture tier-1 daemons like me without utilizing several precious resources in a short time. I was confident about this fact giving me assurance for the upcoming trial from the school.

" Why was I confident you say?"

Only the precious meat of tier-1 or tier-2 monsters would provide enough energy for the tier-0 monster to upgrade their tier in a short period of time.

Also, none of the warriors recruited by them would be like mine, already at the peak of the strength that my territory could tolerate when recruited.

They would have to slowly strengthen their warriors from initial tier-0 with energy obtained after killing the monsters outside their territory and the boost from flare-infused meat from those monsters.

The energy obtained while killing the monsters could be directly utilized by the recruits to strengthen themselves but the energy obtained by killing monsters directly was pitifully low as the Flare in their body would be converted into several items they drop after getting killed.

Another method to upgrade their tier was by absorbing the flare from the meat of monsters killed by them. This process was also slow as the recruits could only absorb the flare from the meat as per their potential. Those daemons with higher potential would be able to absorb the flare at a rapid speed than those with low potential.

While thinking about such things, I slowly fell asleep.

" It was such a good sleep."

I woke up feeling rejuvenated this morning remembering the tier-1 Flare crystal that I had obtained yesterday after killing the Commander-level Nightmare Hound yesterday.

Although everyone was injured to a certain extent yesterday, none of my warriors died. So, It was reasonable for me to be happy today as I had obtained the flare crystal, the most important item for leveling up the tier of my territory to the village level. I already had more than enough SF points on me.

Yup, House Master and Deceitful Charm were the skills I got from Succubi after maxing out their Potential yesterday. Housemaster definitely was a strong skill as it could help noncombatant Succubi (Lilith and Lily) to slaughter the monster with ease.

As for deceitful charm, I couldn't utilize it because I wasn't a tier-1 lord that had evolved till now.

I happily got off my bed, took a quick but relaxing shower, and entered the kitchen following the delicious aroma of the food that was being prepared by my mother.

Dad was managing some files today while listening to the news in the living room.

" Why was he so obsessed with the news?", I didn't have any idea and didn't have the energy to even think about it so I just sat beside him on the sofa playing some game to pass the time.

It was 8:00 am by the time my mother called us for breakfast from the kitchen, just a minute after my father had completed managing his files and was happily chatting with me.

Our breakfast was as peaceful as it could ever be.
