Chapter 36 Realization and Mecha Testing

How could Andrew who had always wanted to run away have not been cautious?

Before Tumunomi Escaver had pulled d the trigger, he had ducked. That is, he opened he latch and swung it open but he had not peered into it.

The ProjectileGun sprayed into the air as the darkness in the area got more illuminated because of Jacob's awakening Mecha Soldier.

Tumunomi Escaver even threw out a Shockwave Bomb.

BOOM!

However, even after running back he did not expect one to be thrown his way.

He immediately locked the hatch door and heard a miffled explosion.

Boom!

The Mecha Soldier rumbled but held. Then he ran to Kason who had huddled his body in a corner and spoke to him.

"You help me with this thing. There is another type of these things out there and we have no idea what they plan for us."

Jason's eyes snapped to him an did not register the words until he grabbed the boy by the hand and dragged him to the workstation.

"What do I do?"

After dropping him roughly on the Workstation the biy seemed to have woken up and sat down as Skrylla Yokuta watched a tupe extend out from the work station and begin scanning the back of Jason's head.

*SECONDARY CONTROL UNIT HAS BEEN ACTIVATED*

"DO YOU WISH TO BOOT THE SYSTEM?*

"Yes."

On the side, Tumunomi Escaver was watching the proceeding as a voice poured out of the ceilings, floor and walls.

*PREPARING BOOT SEQUENCE*

*DAMAGE OF 40% HAS BEEN INCURRED*

*LOADING BOOT SEQUENCE*

*PROWESS NOT FULLY FUNCTIONAL*

Tumunomi Escaver heard foot steps outside the door, and got a Shockwave Bomb ready.

*BOOT SEQUENCE COMPLETE*

The boy next almost fell and had to grab on to the door latch.

He heard a body tumbling outside as he did that and he then shouted a Jason.

"Stabilise me!"

*LINEAR HOLD SEQUENCE INITIATED*

As though gravity had been tweaked, Tumunomi Escaver could now stand straight and his first action was to throw the bomb outside before shutting it close.

He heard scrambling feet outside the room as the Mecha Soldier rose to stand and a muffled explosion shortly after.

Then, rushing after he locked he latch leading to outside which now hung. To be doubly sure, he checked the other room and found no people before returning to the space with Jason.

"You could make this easier by joining me."

Was Jason taking to him?

Well there was no body else.

How was he supposed l join.

"Just behind me, there is a dim circle."

Tumunomi Escaver was not sure if he could trust Jason but he could not step outside.

Taking quicker steps, he eventually spotted he area now that the room was almost completely bright again.

*MAIN CONTROLLER DETECTED*

*PROCEEDING TO INITIATE PRIMARY ACTIVATION PROCESS*

Tumunomi Stopd there and saw that a sort of component was getting closer to his neck and was now pointing at it with something that resembled a lens.

Then, as it's light shon on the area where a Chip ould be inside his head, information flowed in lile a soft current.

Tumunomi Escaver saw the blueprint of the Mecha Solder he was on at first.

He then saw the different materials used to make it.

Finally, he saw its completed form.

Next, Tumunomi Escaver saw basic mobility movements it could carry out like turning off both external and internal lights, walking, running and other basic commands.

Then he saw that he could allow it to roll in its side.

Lastly, saw that he could control which sections of the Mecha Soldier stayed stable and how if he wore a suit, he would not need the command in the first place.

Following, the boy was shown that he could extend the folded legs to reach heights or latch unto surfaces for grasping.

He also saw that he could jump.

Finally, Tumunomi Escaver got more complex commands for very specific intentions.

But what confused him was when he realised that he could fuse and realise more of the Mecha Soldier's potential.

Darkness

Then,

Light,

Then,

Sound.

Then,

Tumunomi Escaver opened his eyes and he was not only looking at Jason but he could see the outside too. And that view showed him cylindrical structures that rose higher and higher.

"FOR THE SAKE OF US ALL LET US COOPERATE. TOGETHER WE CA-"

Tumunomi Escaved made his Mecha Soldier spray sand as though waterfall poured out water, jumping about 29 meters as it turned its underside to his opponent's Mecha Soldier.

"-AN WORK THINGS O-"

He shot out the Spider Mecha Soldier's legs and knocked the one which resembled an octopus at least 5 meter away.

When he landed, he was grinning like an idiot and pounced on the Octopus Mecha Soldier that had been thwarted. But only 3 meters close and a black bubble shaped shield deflected him back to where he cam from, the arachnid like digits trailing across the ground.

In the distance the Octopus fully rose to its feet and dwarfed him so badly he might have as well been an offspring of it. Then, it went invisible and Tumunomi Escaver rolled at maximum speed.

But instead of backwards like Jason had wanted, he was shooting forwards as though its invisibly was useless to his eyes.

Then, he jumped high again but he was smacked away at some point. However, he did not land without his feet first amd he jumped forward this time and he used a full blast Heat Signature search.

Got it!

The boy cunningly timed an approaching tentacle and he then used fire thrusters to adjust his trajectory. So that, he rolled along the tentacle and was aiming for the main body.

BANG!

The shock rocked both contestants but one was approached and the other was stationary, so more of it transferred to Jacob's Octopus Mecha Soldier.

Down, down, down the fell and then BANG!

Sand covered the entire Mecha Soldier's head as it had been forced out of invisibility.

Tumunomi Escaver was jumping at it again and Jacob decided to use the jey black ink and make another shield. But this one trapped the incoming Spider Mecha Soldier within it and kept it bouncing around until the liquid cage finally got busted.

Jacob's Mecha Soldier was right before Tumunomi Escaver's but the boy did not know it as his Full Heat Signature Search was loading.

"WE COULD WORK TOGETHER! YOU CAN'T TELL ME THAT THE CONTESTANTS ARE NOT THINKING THE SAME!"

On a second thought, Jacob covered the Spider Mecha Soldier in the Jet black ink of shield bubble again.

John and Jake stared wide eyed at the screen as they hovered about the air while Iri rested her jaw on her wrist and was poorly staving off sleep.

"Madame, Madame Iri!"

She snorted awake and then took a short while to focus her dreary eyes on John.

"What is it?"

"The battle going on; we could reap the harvest and gain 2 more Mecha Soldiers."

She understood what the captive was suggesting. John wanted to salvage whatever he could when they were both defenceless and spent.

But what if her target was also entangled in such a mess?

"Too risky"

"No, it is not a problem at all. Where is the risk?"

She looked at him and waited for him to see what she saw.

"Well, we could do a rescue operation."

"You are assuming…"

…But it was possible.

She frowned and stared at the screen.

Pointing out she fired a chain of commands and heir Mecha Soldier was now directly above Jacob and Tumunomi Escaver's.

John waited as the cameras allowed him to clearly see both contestants.

In the bubble, Tumunomi Escaver could not see, feel or hear anything and the Mecha Soldier was moving a lot slower. Gritting his teeth he then prepared a jump but he barely left the bubble Each time.

Jacob sent a full Heat Signature Search upwards and saw a vague impression of another Mecha Soldier.

"I AM SEARCHING FOR ALLIES, ARE YOU WILLING TO TEAM UP?"

"THAT IS YET TO BE DETERMINED!"

"I MEAN YOU NO HARM AND SINCERELY JUST WANT TO WIN THIS!"

"WHAT CAN YOU OFFER?"

"FOR ONE, I CAN OFFER THIS SPIDER MECHA SOLDIER."

Up there, Iri considered her options then nodded.

"AGREED!"

Next, Jacob timed the frequency of Tumunomi Escaver's jumos. Then he burst the bubble just before a launch.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

And after rising close to 40 meters airborne, all the nuzzles beneath Iri's Insect Mecha Soldier fired.

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!!!!!

The shockwave from the blast was enough to almost instantaneously flatten him to the ground. So, with the addition of not a few 3 meter thick lasers, the Spider Mecha Soldier was now glowing red hot!

Even the ground had either puffed to dust or was glowing a healthy red hot!
