Sound Of Someone’s Hunger

As the car reached the school gates, there were girls gathering around the car in two rows. Yu Xin who start this was baffled at the students, back in her days everyone was just minding their own business. "Brother, you have many fangirls," said Yu Xin as she grabs her bag preparing to leave the car.

But the brothers' face was indifferent and said "Ignore them, it always happens. Someone will here soon". Not long a teacher came out to the school gates and started shouting at the students to go back to their respective classes. As usual, the fangirls ignored the teacher.

The teacher was furious, then said something unexpected "The principal is on his way, better go back else there will be points deducted". Upon hearing that the principal is on his way, the student slowly walked back to class reluctant to leave. The number of students decreased and some still walked very slowly hoping to be the first to greet the popular boys in school. The car door opened, the two brothers stepped out and helped their little sister to get off the car.

"Dad, see you later!" said Yu Xin as the car door shut close by the brothers. The teacher then came up to them and said "Your sister can go with me first to register for a guest card to bypass the gantry".

The brothers then bid their little sister a short farewell. Yu Xin then followed the teacher with her short legs. As her legs were short the distance covered was small, causing her to lag behind the teacher a lot. She tried to catch her breath, but the teacher was not in sight anymore. Yu Xin walked forward more hoping to find someone to help her with direction.

As she walks she ended up at something like a park in school. Yu Xin then continued looking for someone like a gardener or a janitor to help her. "Why are schools not built the same, where is the general office? It seems that every school placed their general office differently. Is there anyone here?" said Yu Xin raising her voice hoping someone can hear her.

After a moment of silence, Yu Xin was tired from walking. She sat down under a huge tree to make it easy for people to find her. Resting under the shadows of the huge tree, with the wind gently grazing her face.

*rumbling*

"???, what was that?"

*rumbling* *rumbling*

Yu Xin looked for the one that is causing the sound and looked up. She saw a boy resting on one of the thicker tree branches.

"Hey! Are you hungry? If you help me, I give you something to eat."

*Silence*

"With your stomach growling so loud, there is no way you are sleeping."

*Silence* *Rumbling*

"If you are not going to help, can you at least ask your stomach to keep quiet?"

*Rumbling* *Rumbling* *Rumbling*

The boy on the tree branch looked down and saw a cute little girl sitting on the grass beneath him. Though, he was embarrassed at the sound of his stomach. He felt the time has stopped for him and got out of his trance quickly and got down the tree branch.

"Are you going to help me?" asked Yu Xin as she got up from the ground and patted her skirt. The boy cleared his throat and said "Hm." Yu Xin took it as a yes and ask "Can you bring me to the school general office? I was following the teacher, but my legs are short so I can't catch up with the teacher".

The boy then lead Yu Xin to the general office and saw that she was lagging behind. He put out his hand for Yu Xin so that she won't be left behind. Yu Xin who saw his action said "Thank You Big Brother!" and placed her hand on the boy's hand. The boy then blushed and quickly turned his head away. As they made their way to the general office, the boy then reluctantly let go of her hand and opened the door to the general office, and bid her farewell.

"Wait! I promised to give you something to eat if you helped me," said Yu Xin as she opened her bag and took out some sweets for him. After giving the boy sweets, the teacher that was looking for her appeared and said: "Why didn't you wait for me, if you can't find me? I felt I just lost half of my life when I realise you were missing".

The teacher wiped her sweat and passed her a lanyard with a card. "This is used to enter the entrance of the school and used as a meal card. I top up about $300 to the meal card, as requested by your father. Now, we need to quickly go to your brother's class as the classes are starting soon. May I have permission to carry you?" said the teacher. Yu Xin nodded her head giving permission to carry her. The teacher lifted her up and ran to her class.

Yu Xin had wind hitting her face harshly and closed her eyes, 'this teacher sure run fast, let's pray she doesn't fall down'. Soon, Yu Xin and the teacher reached the classroom door. The teacher then instructed her to wait outside, as she went into the classroom to explain the situation. Yu Xin then quickly checks whether her hair went out of place due to the wind that was hitting her. "Amazing, my hair is still in place. 100 points for my assistant maid."

The teacher that went into the classroom then quickly get everyone's attention, "ATTENTION, I have an important announcement to make. Today and the next few days we will be joined with Zhou Yu Xuan and Zhou Yu Chen's little sister. Please do take care of her. Now, let's welcome Zhou Yu Xin".

Upon hearing her name, she entered her brother's classroom. Yu Xin walked onto the podium and greeted everyone "Good Morning! My name is Zhou Yu Xin. Nice to meet you! Please take care of me." And bowed slightly before looking at her brother's classmates.

She waved to her brothers brightly. The whole class went into chaos. The brothers then stared coldly at their classmates who then quietly sat back down. "Student Zhou, where do you want to sit? There is space at the back of the class, or do want to sit beside your brothers?" asked the teacher. Yu Xin then saw the boy who helped her to find her way sleeping on his desk and said "I found my seat" and walked towards the seat beside the boy that helped her.

"Nice to meet you again!" said Yu Xin as she smiles at the boy.
