I dodge the incoming attack, the icy tentacle misses my head and hits the wall behind thankfully it doesn't have the power to crack stone wall.

"Ethan what have you created!?" Morgan is frantically shooting dark fireballs at the abomination I accidentally created.

"I was just trying to make ice cream!"

"WHAT'S AN ICE CREAM?"

"Hmm this thing has potential uses in bed let me tame it." Before Merlin can confiscate the Mini Cthulhu made out of ice cream I managed to kill it causing it to melt back into milk.

"No! he was too young to die. You're monsters!" We ignored our crying sensei and went to have some fun shooting fireballs.

"So we're finishing up moving after this last carriage right?" I ask Gerald who is mounting his horse.

"Yeah, finally after this I am retiring." Fuck! he jinxed it.

"Sigh... You had to say it right?" I ask with a tired face.

"What?"

"Nothing let's go." It seems like I am going to spill my first blood today, whistling I alerted Claudia to scout ahead, while we were still inside the castle premise I looked at my status.

I don't remember accepting that last name but whatever I am not going to fight with a unintelligent system.

Halfway through the road Claudia informed me about an ambush, she even got their numbers and everything.

She actually likes her new job as my familiar since she doesn't have to hunt for food and she gets to be petted whenever she wants.

"Ambush ahead! eleven guys three archers." I informed others, we have eight people including me. As we got closer their archers all aimed at Gerald...

Only for arrows to hit my barriers. I knew it! Getting off my horse I got in position while our archers handled theirs.

After Gerald gave a signal to charge I went ahead, E rank power is no joke against poor bandits. Before long bandits were dead and I was using hypnotism to keep calm.

Well at least Gerald is safe...

"Gerald is down!" Fuck!

Checking over his body I didn't find any injuries but it was all revealed after a quick structural grasp.

He had an heart attack. Conveying my findings to the other soldiers we wrapped him up and went our destination and Camelot's graveyard had it's first resident.

Gerald was just too old for this shit.

After we came back I silently went to my room got changed and went to feed Claudia she did a good job for the past three days.

"Yo Ethan why the long face?" While I was feeding Claudia Merlin comes around with Cath Palug on his shoulder.

"Gerald died from an heart attack..."

"Sorry." "Fou..."

"It's fine, not my first time losing someone important, I just need a healthy distraction." I say while sending Claudia back to her little nest.

"Healthy distraction you say, I got just the thing!"

"Merlin no!" I yell while running away.

"Merlin Yes!" Too bad my ankle is already tied up to a nearby tree, how did he do it? with a clap of his hand I am hanging upside down from the tree.

"Today's lesson, Mana Burst I am sure you know it."

"Are you insane!? Wait don't answer that, also I barely have enough reserves for two bursts, scratch that it will break my leg even if I reinforce it!"

"Not my problem hohoho let's go Cath tailor should be finished with your little cape."

"Fou..." Cath gives me a sad expression, we started to understand each other during the past two years.

Mana Burst, as the name implies, it's basically sudden expulsion of magical energy from legs to create forward thrust, also a skill that Artoria and Mordred had as servants.

Unfortunately one needs great magical energy reserves and a durable body to use this properly which I don't have neither of the two...

"Ethan? What did you do to deserve this?" As expected Morgan happend to be passing by, it appears this is another wingman attempt by Merlin.

"Apparently Merlin is teaching me a technique that will break my leg as an healthy distraction."

"Hmm what are you learning?"

"Mana Burst..." I explained the idea to Morgan while she stood near me, thankfully she's wearing a long dress otherwise I wouldn't be able to focus.

"So how's it going?"

"You know just hanging out hoping for a miracle."

"I see, then why don't I give you some encouragement." Saying this Morgan's smile turns mischievous and she gives me a kiss on the lips...

It's an instant success, relationship between me and Morgan have been going good thanks to encouragement from Uther, Ingraine and even if I don't want to admit Merlin.

At first it was more innocent but Morgan got bolder and bolder as time went by. This is the heights we reached.

"Oh dear it seems it was too much encouragement let me fix that."

"When it comes to this there's no such thing as too much."

"You sounded like Merlin."

"Damn it!" While I was despairing my future as Merlin's successor, a little flower bud rolled to our side but none of us noticed until it exploded into petals that revealed a message.

I shouldn't have let him watch Harry Potter.

Next day I still went back to his room as always. I think I may have developed a Stockholm Syndrome...

"Hey Merlin can you get me a ring?"

"Sure what kind of effect do you need?"

"I just need the ring I am going to embed the stone I showed you last time. I figured it would be better as a ring."

"Ah Hang on." While Merlin went to get a decent ring I looked over to the gift my ROB sent, I didn't look at it until last year but I must say I will be thanking him if we ran into each other again.

I must say this stone is everything I need for now.

"There you go this is an old ring of mine I named it Bane of Ice, I don't need it anymore so you can take it." Saying this Merlin gives me a ring that looks really expensive.

Bane of Ice: A ring made by Merlin Ambrosius, Magus of Flowers himself. It gives it's user cold immunity and increases the efficiency of Ice type magic by %200

"I can't take this." I give it back to him like holy hell people would kill for this ring.

Merlin didn't seem like he understands the value of the ring because he ripped off the sapphire on the ring turning the beautiful stone into dust also ruining the ring and gave it back to me with a pleased smile.

I fell to my knees. I just wanted a ring why, why!?

"Oh my dear apprentice are you crying? you don't need to get all emotional it's just a ring. You're making me emotional as well."

I took the now ruined ring, set up the now familiar enchantment table and put the Harem Stone on the ring before starting fusion causing the whole thing to shine rainbow colors.

The end product looked like a steel ring with rainbow hues there's no sight of the stone.
