Where There is a Will, There is a Way.

Nigel stared at the black sphere with a dazed look, sometimes his face twitches slightly because of the splitting headache he got. After 5 minutes had passed, Nigel feels the line on his forehead dim before disappearing, and shortly after that, the black thing falls down to the ground making a thud sound as it hit the floor.

While Nigel just continues to lie on the cold hard floor, taking a small rest to calm down the headache and recover some of his energy. He can't help but complain to the System for not informing him in advance of the pain he will go through.

'Iris, does the delivery from 'The Apocalypse Shopping System' in the future will always feel like this?' Nigel asked in his mind to Iris.

'Why didn't you just send it to me now along with that black sphere object you just delivered?'

[It's because the difference in the mass object and the greater the mass, the bigger it takes energy for the delivery. If we had sent it to you right now, your body can't handle it and your body will be sucked dried, meaning you will die.]

Nigel goosebumps at the thought of his dried-up body as he continues to ask Iris, 'So what is the thing you just send to me?'

[It is a medical substance to help mend injuries and any deep-rooted illnesses while enhancing various organs on the body.]

As Nigel hear the effect of the drugs, he can't help but think about various movies that have the same starting plot of advance medicinal properties that turns out having some problem.

He slowly got up, make his way to the black sphere, and picked it up from the ground.

The black sphere suddenly started to make a hissing sound accompanied by a jutting vapor before it opened to revealed the content inside it, on the inside, Nigel can see a small dark green pill.

Nigel became fascinated by the pill since he remembers what the effects will bring to him, he quickly asked Iris how to consume it.

When Nigel got the answer from Iris, he stares at the pill for a long time before he made up his mind to consume it. Just when he was done swallowing the pill, he once again feels a burning feeling deep inside his body before it quickly turns into a cool refreshing flow all over his body.

He went into his bedroom, preparing to sleep as instructed by Iris after he took the medicine. He thought falling asleep after undergoing that refreshing flow was going to be hard, as it was, in fact, so much easier. After barely closing his eyes, he quickly went into a dream with a smile on his face.

If there was someone to see Nigel right now, that person must be feeling shocked. Because the bruises on Nigel's bodies heal at a rapid pace and his smooth pale white skin, now had a healthy white-colored look.

At a luxurious casino, on the top floor.

An old man was wearing a finely fitted suit that accentuated his still vigorous muscles body along with a black eyepatch on his left eye, sitting behind a classy wooden table with a bored look on his face as he listened to the report of his underling.

"So.. Boss, Rico and his man are now waiting for you to bail them out of the jail." The underling said to the boss as he directed his gaze to the ground, not daring to see the boss's eye.

"That useless chap, bringing so many men and still can't get the job done. You tell me, how should I handle him?" The boss said nonchalantly as he stared at the ceiling with the same bored look on his face.

"I d-d-don't dare to make a decision in front of you, boss!" The underling said stuttering.

"Then let them rot in jail. If there is nothing else, you can get out now." The boss said waving his hand just like waving a fly to the man indicating for him to leave.

"The contract with that man Ahu..."

"Raise the price twice as much as the agreed amount from the original, tell him the information he brings contain a major error. If he doesn't agree, then forget it. Now get out!" Before his underling can say anymore, the boss cut short of his talk.

When the boss finally hears the door got shut, his bored expression turned into a sinister smile as his eye catch sight of two reports with a photo attached to them. In the two report photos were Nigel and James along with their information such as name, living addresses, workplace, their past experiences, and so on.

When the boss saw the report on the man name James Peter, he knew that the man was a special case as his last 7 years whereabouts were unknown. Usually, when he got a report with a similar case as James, they are either dead where the body can't be found anymore or their existence was erased by the government.

What the most confusing to him was the report on Nigel Oneal, this Nigel was an orphan that got bullied in his university life and hasn't received any training whatsoever and he is just a typical hard-working white-collar worker. But, the report he got was that Nigel himself took care of at least half of the thugs, although his technique was quite insidious, he still can get a hold of himself.

The boss let go of the reports before he said, "What do you think of this man name Nigel Oneal?"

"I don't care, what I care about is only you... So, why don't you come over here dear?" A charming female voice sounds out from the sofa at the corner of the room.

"I think this man is interesting." Replied the boss as his gaze went into the bewitching figure that was lying on the sofa wearing a playboy bunny costume.

"Eh, did I get that right? The infamous Jack 'One-Eyed Executioner' Quill is interested in a man?" Said the bewitching figure with an exaggerated shock look.

"It's my gut feeling telling me that and don't call me with that nickname again as I'm now the big boss." Jack said before getting up to the door and locking it, he slowly went to the charming and bewitching figure on the sofa.

"Hehe, your nickname is already stuck with you, boss. Whether you like it or not."

As the starry night skies change into a bright warming sky.

Nigel opens his eyes before he yawns and wipes the drool on the lower side of his face, he never feels so comfortable as he is right now.

He feels that his body was so light, his brain now works more fluidly as he can further control and coordinate his various muscles from the main muscles to the muscles that he never felt he have, his sensory senses were heightened and many forgotten memories flood into his brain, whenever he tried to recalls something.

He too didn't know whether it is his imagination or not, but every time he inhales some air, his lung capacity feels doubled from before and his heart rate seems to slow down despite the strong beat his heart pumps.

Overall, he quickly got addicted to this strong feeling and wants to run laps around his apartment. But, before he gets excited, he feels his stomach going on a protest as it let out a grumbling sound along with deep long farts. He hurriedly got up and went to the toilet, after torturing hours of battle in the toilet, he was shocked to find out that it was an un-naturally black colored with an awful smell to it.

When he calmed down, he naturally determined that the black unnatural with an awful smell he excreted out was his impurities from the 28-years of bad living habits and condition. Nigel then took a shower to clean up his body, after that he cook some breakfast before sitting down on the couch to enjoy the food he just made while watching tv.

As Nigel finished with his food, he went to tidy up his study room and quickly jot down all the information he remembered from the apocalypse.

The current place he lives on was the city government and business center, where the population was the largest in the country totaling a massive 14.25 million people with a density of 27,138 per square mile (70,287 per km²).

The military from his previous life has blocked the city and make four outposts in the west, southwest, southeast, and eastern rural city that has little population compared to the center of the city. In the beginning, everything went well with the blockage plan and purging operation, and has the idea to make a stronghold that curves from the west to the east outpost. But as the zombies kept getting stronger and evolve over the year with the human side also have different abilities wielder, things quickly go in the wrong direction.

From the rebelling groups to the evolving zombies, the depressed militaries to the starving citizens, the government was attacked from the inside and outside with many unsolved problems, making the higher-up government abandon their post and fled to god knows where along with many supplies.

In his previous life, Nigel was living as a 'barbarian' in a small group of 12 people with Alex Pearce as the leader. But, as their basecamp was overrun by zombie and Alex died, Nigel fled to the southeast outpost as a refugee doing labor work until the day the government outpost got destroyed.

He once again resumes his 'barbarian' life, searching for food, bits, and pieces he can trade to others until he got curious by an e-commerce building that was once the most highly sought after jobs before the apocalypse as he heard from people who used to work in that place that the company has their own chef, barista and bartender where they serve all you can eat types of the cafeteria.

He thought that they have some canned food, package ramen noodles, and the like stored somewhere in the building and unfinished delivery packages at their warehouse. Never had he know that the saying 'Curiosity killed the cat' was so true, as he died on the rooftop of that building and finally reincarnated to where he is today.

When he was living in the wasteland, he heard some interesting rumors where groups of ability wieldier set up their own stronghold at a city that focus on industrialization before the apocalypse. The rumor state that because of the small population, loose government control, and many resources at hand, they can build thick 5 meters and 10-meter tall city walls made from reinforced concrete along with steel panels.

He knew where the city was located, if it's right, then it was just unbelievable as the size of the city is more than 637.84 per square mile (1,652 km²).

Unbelievable as it sounded, Nigel still curious about it. He wants to go there when the apocalypse happened as it can bring many opportunities to himself and others if it's true. He just doesn't know whether to go there before the apocalypse or after the apocalypse happened.

If he went there before the apocalypse happens, then he doesn't know how to convince Alex, Brian, and maybe James too. He can't just say to them there will be zombies coming as maybe he will be brandish as a crazy person watching too many zombie movies and get paranoid by it.

As Nigel finished writing down the things he will be needing to prepare for the apocalypse, he closes his book and heads downstairs to look for another gym as he can't go to 'The Club' gym right now looking brand-new after yesterday beating.

After he finds a simple gym, he quickly went through the exercise from yesterday, repeating the same thing with crazy fervor as he senses all the muscles in his body tinglings and when he finished the same sets James set-up for him, he doesn't feel exhausted and barely sweat any.

Nigel got excited by his new body, as his body from the apocalypse doesn't feel as good as it did right now after taking that medicine. He finally thanks Iris for the medicine he got, before continuing his exercise and finish two hours later.

When Nigel arrived back into his apartment, he proceeds to train with the sword he buys from Alex, quickly remembering all Alex teaching about the sword and technique that the previous him has forgotten before his memory got enhance.
