Chapter 12-The young, handsome man

He arrived at Ms. Chang's restaurant and did his daily activities. After doing everything, he took a chair and sat down somewhere to continue working on the sculpture. After a while, he heard the door to the restaurant open and he looked up to see Ms. Chang staring at him. "Is there anything wrong?" "No, it's just that you weren't here working, do you have an explanation for it?" "I just had some private issues to take care of" "Well, at least notify me that you'll be taking a couple of days off in advance" "Will do" "Some girls came by the other day claiming that your their senior brother or something" "I am, is there a problem? Did they cause any trouble for you?" "They did cause some trouble but soon left after making an embarrassing situation for themselves" "I apologize on their behalf" "Just make sure that you are ready to work," then Ms. Chang went into the kitchen. After Ms. Chang went into the kitchen, Liao Ping went and got the broom and started sweeping up the shavings of wood from the Giant Snake sculpture.

When he was emptying the shavings into a bag, the first customer arrived. She ordered her usual which was some vegetables cooked with some pieces of meat alongside a cup of wine. Liao Ping waited until another customer arrived before going into the kitchen. He and Ms. Chang got busy for the day and the restaurant eventually closed for the day. As Liao Ping was thinking about the rumors that were told to him by Mr. Lui, he saw a rogue cultivator asking other cultivators and people about how to earn spiritual stones quickly. As the rogue cultivator kept asking, nobody replied until a young handsome man replied to her.

"Fellow Daoist, you shouldn't be asking these other daoists for help"

"Why? Do you know a way to earn spiritual stones quickly?" asked the young girl.

"I do and I think that most cultivators know my answer, which is to become an alchemist" "An Alchemist? What does an alchemist do?" "You-Whatever, an alchemist concocts pills and sells them for a living which earns them lots of spiritual stones" as the young, handsome man and the young girl talked, Liao Ping was scrutinizing the young man. 'He's pretty handsome but I hope that she'll be wary of him at least' thought Liao Ping. The young, handsome man turned around and stared in Liao Ping's direction before giving the young girl a few bags of spiritual stones and walked away shortly after. Liao Ping saw some people tailing the young, handsome man from behind and also saw some chasing after the young girl. "That guy is pretty paranoid" mumbled Liao Ping as he walked away from the scene and toward the entrance of Fallen star town.

The young, handsome man who was being tailed eventually left Fallen star town and headed toward a clear area. His assailants followed after him, and when he stopped, they also stopped, again and again until one of the assailants' patience ran out.

"Screw this! I'll kill him and run after taking his valuables" mumbled the assailant.

He changed his pace of walking and closed in on the young, handsome man. The other assailants followed after the assailant who had lost his patience. "Hey, you! Give up all your valuables, or else face the consequences!" the young, handsome man walked for a bit before turning around and replying, "Oh really?" "YOu-My patience has run thin!" "Guys! Let's get him!" He turns around to see a blade flash through his chest and out of his body. "Y-You!"

"Sorry pal, it wasn't personal" replied the assailant who had backstabbed him.

He turns around to see the other assailants backing away from him and taking out their own weapons. 'This fellow had the audacity to kill the boss', 'I should be careful when he charges me', "Have you all forgotten about me?" asked the young, handsome man as he takes out his own weapon. They all look at him and start taking a certain fighting stance but none of them are willing to go since they don't wanna be backstabbed. "Since you are all undeciding, then I will go ahead first" declared the young, handsome man. The young, handsome man rushed toward one of the assailants and quickly sliced off his head before rushing another one and killing him with finesse. 'He's fast but that doesn't matter when we number him, 1 to 7', they all reach a silent consensus and brandish their weapons while performing a certain technique all aimed to take the life of the young, handsome man.

The young, handsome man parries the first assailant's attack, whilst carrying out a palm technique to counter the second assailant's spear technique. He easily dodges the third assailant's sword maneuver that aimed to pierce his heart and kills the fourth assailant who tried to sneak into his blind spot. The fifth assailant watches on as the young, handsome man starts to go on the offensive. He sees his brothers being quickly killed off by the young, handsome man's skill and ditches them by running the way they came. The young, handsome man notices that one is trying to get away, "you think you can get away after trying to mess with me?" mumbled the young, handsome man. He dodges an incoming attack and maneuvers his sword in a certain way then he calls out, "Sword Domain: Forests of eerie!" which changes the environment from him being the center to a mile radius and entrapping everything inside. He starts outright killing the assailants while everybody in Fallen star town is going into a frenzy over the situation that has happened to them.

"We're all going to die! Run! Hide!" a middle-aged man yelled.

"I want my mommy and daddy! Mommy! Daddy! cries" a young girl was crying.

Everybody was panicking and running around trying to either find someone or find safety. Liao Ping was hiding inside a bush listening to everything that happened around him and saw a little girl walking warily, looking around. He got up and went up to her, "Little girl, are you lost?" she nodded and he held out his hand to her, she warily took it and he held her hand before asking, "Do you wanna walk around with me to look for your parents?" She squeezed his hand a bit and then they started walking together into the crowd.
