After a few days of cultivating, Xu Huo finally stops cultivating and stands up to stretch. "Were you having enlightenment?" "You ready?" "I'm ready to defeat you in this friendly spar!" then they started their spar by getting close to each other and dueling it out. After being in a deadlock for a while they got away from each other, "Brother Ping! I am going to do some of the movements from the sheepskin, prepare yourself!" "I'll test this new idea I've thought on you as well!" then they started running towards each other preparing to test out how much they've learned. After meeting each other head to head, they unleashed their attacks to decide in one move, who won the spar.
After the spar ended, they talked about their earlier sparring sessions and how they have improved a bit. "So are you gonna tell your master about having enlightenment?" "I will since it'll make her happy that I am progressing on my cultivation journey" "Okay, now let's pack up and clean the area before we leave" after they had cleaned up the area they started to walk toward the forest of eerie.
Master Hu Tu was teaching Ma Shu and Gao Shi when Elder Tyrant arrived. "Junior Hu Tu, can you come over here?" "What's the matter?" asked Master Hu Tu as he walked over to Elder Tyrant. Master Hu Tu was getting flashbacks to when he started his cultivation journey, the hardships, the suffering, and the eccentricity of his master. While Master Hu Tu was lost in his reverie, Elder Tyrant went over to Ma Shu and Gao Shi, "Are you two, disciple Ping's juniors?" "Yes!" "Of course!" "Tell your senior brother to come to meet me at the missions pavilion, if he returns here" "We will" then Elder Tyrant walked toward Junior Hu Tu and patted him on the shoulder to get him out of his reverie, and continued toward the entrance of the Bronze Dragon Peak.
After a day of walking through the forest of eerie, Xu Huo had just finished going through the compilation of sheepskins about the author's early days of spear training while Liao Ping had just finished sculpting the body of his latest sculpture, a giant snake. "Brother Ping, are you making a sculpture of the giant snake we fought?" "Yeah" 'That's cool, but I've gotta question to ask you?" "What's your question?" "Should I do the same thing that the author did?" "Yeah, but you should do it when you get back," Xu Huo and Liao Ping had just finished discussing things when they heard a battle nearby. They rushed in the noisy direction and found two cultivators fighting. They didn't rush into the fight since they didn't know which side was of good judgment and bad judgment.
"Wen Qiu! You won't escape yet again!"
"Senior Sister Xinya, I wasn't escaping, I was luring you to the forest of eerie for a reason!" "You won't trick me again, Wen Qiu!"
"Junior Xinya, Junior Qiu wasn't lying since I asked him to lead you here for a purpose" "Elder Cai! Why are you here and what purpose are you talking about?" "I won't spoil the reason since you'll agree after you are defeated" then the battle recommenced with a Level 10 Foundation cultivator helping Wen Qiu against Senior Sister Xinya. "Brother Ping, what should we do?" "We'll help Fellow Daoist Xinya escape but you'll be her hero." "why?" "Because-Just does as I say" whispered Liao Ping. When they had just finished talking, Sister Xinya had just run out of spiritual qi and had started breathing heavily as Wen Qiu and Elder Cai prepared to subdue her. "Senior Sister Xinya, you can still surrender!" "I'll never surrender to the likes of you!" "I guess we'll have to defeat her into submission, sigh" then they rushed her preparing to deliver a blow each. Xu Huo immediately ran out of the bushes while Liao Ping watched on as the 'hero' arrived, he used his spear to imitate a move that Brother Ping used on himself in an earlier spar to counter his fast thrusts and jabs. His immediate appearance was quite the conundrum for Wen Qiu and Elder Cai but Sister Xinya was unfazed by his appearance. She threw an attack at Xu Huo but when he used his spear to nullify and block her indirect attack skillfully, she was quite surprised.
"Who are you?" "..." "Fellow Daoist, I think that this might be an unrelated problem for you" "..." "How could you block my Severing Palm technique?" "..." Xu Huo got ready to start fighting again and he immediately signaled for Brother Ping to knock her out after restarting the fight with Elder Cai and Wen Qiu. Liao Ping got behind Daoist Xinya when she wasn't paying attention and knocked her out with a jab to her neck. Liao Ping then laid her down and drew his weapon whilst monitoring Brother Huo's situation. He then joined the fight making it a fair two versus' two, the situation had progressed past their plan and they wanted to leave but we're both being beaten by two other cultivators. "I think that there has been a misunderstanding" Wen Qiu and Elder Cai weren't getting any responses so they kept trying to escape but Xu Huo and Liao Ping kept driving them into a corner and eventually got them desperate. They both split up and wished that the other would be followed by the other party but were both followed by the other party.
