Chapter-28 Healer Ring (2)

Outside the den.

The orges suddenly started to scream and run away. The orges knew their lord has died and they have to withdraw from the battle. But Seth didn't let any of the orges escape. With his dark energy, he swallowed every one of them. After the field was cleared, everyone felt relieved but soon they notice the boss monster wasn't there. Everyone quickly enters the den and finds many of the orges were slaughter down. The orges were looking thinner than the ones they fought. 

While others making their steps more forward into the deep cave, John was standing on the body of the boss orge. "Wait the boss monster died like that" John couldn't believe that the boss orge die simply but the pain he felt inside his body he thought, this is real.

John heard the sounds of steps walking toward the room. He quickly made a big hole in the wall and fled away from there. Before going back to the battlefield, he removes his mask, ties his hair, and disappears the Liva. He takes out his axe and made a slight cut in his leg. After that, he slowly enters the den.

Everyone was gathered in the deepest room where John and the boss had fought. They were whispering and chattering about the person who killed the boss. Nobody knows who was that person.

"To think someone was already inside the orge den. They must be strong"

"That's the coward way to snatch the boss from us"

"Shut up. Somehow we did manage to kill half of orge but we will be able to kill the boss? Think about it" 

"I agree with the brother, it was getting tough in battle"

Everyone was talking out their opinion and getting pleased but Seth and Princess Aamel weren't looking pleased. Both of them were looking for the Healer Ring. 

"Look like the rewards were the artifacts and equipment hanging on the wall" Seth.

"Can we take it?" Everyone.

"Yes. After all, everyone fought with their life"

After hearing Seth, everyone quickly moves from their position and starts to pick the artifacts, armor, and equipment they like. And soon the room was empty. 

Everyone starts walking out of the room being satisfied. Seth and princess Aamel walked out of the den first. Both of them were feeling truly disappointed. Both of them didn't look at each other or exchange any words. They quietly went to their tent. 

John was still inside the den, he was waiting for everyone to leave. And when it was empty, John walked toward the boss's dead body and he takes out his dagger. 

"Liva doesn't he have anything useful?" John talks with Liva while looking intensely over the body.

"No, master"

"Hmm, what about the orges teeth?"

"Huh? Teeth?"

"I was thinking of making something from the teeth" John smiled.

"Do whatever you want master but don't forget to feed me"

John takes out the boss's teeth. He gathers them on a piece of clothes and puts them on the space ring. He puts his right hand in the body of orge and Liva absorbed the magic instantly. 

"Are you full today?" 

"Yes. Master"

John walkout from the den after a few minutes. He finds Salmond was searching for him. 

"John" Salmond was soaked into the blood from the head to toe. He was looking happy after seeing John. 

"You okay? Did you get any hurt?" John asked looking at the wounded Salmond.

"Haha who would get hurt. The hero doesn't get hurt" Salmond laughed. 

John looked at Salmond's chest where the wound was completely seen. John softly punches on the wound. 

"Ow ow ow. What are you doing?"

"I thought hero doesn't feel pain" John smiled and continue to punch softly. 

"It hurts okay, stop now"

John stopped and look at Salmond's face. They both laughed crazily and feels thankful for surviving. 

The battle had continued for the whole day and everyone was tired. They didn't want to travel anywhere and it was already night. Everyone decided to take a rest and spend the night inside the dungeon. At first, they all prayed for the souls of their brothers. After taking a few minutes of rest everyone was getting cheerful and more relaxed. They were treating each other wounds and cuts. Before the war, they were the enemy of each other but after the war they were brothers. 

Inside the tent, princess Aamel was getting treatment by her handmaiden, and her brain and heart were filled with anxiety.

"How and who stole the Healer Ring" she murmured.

"Did you say, anything princess"

"Carla, the healer Ring got stolen"

"What?" Carla was double surprised and the towel she was holding slip through her hand.

"Did you ask Sir Seth?" Carla was getting panic. 

"I have not talked with him and I am sure he also has no idea" princess Aamel continues " someone stronger was already inside the den and they killed the boss monster" princess Aamel sighed.

"What are you going to do now princess?"

"I should return to the Royal Palace soon and report everything to father" she bit her lip as the lip curved a little in a tremble. 

They both keep quiet and think about how to report.

On the other side in John's tent. He takes out the notebook he found in the orge den. The notebook condition was not bad, it was all new. It doesn't seem to be any pieces or pages being torn down and the cover was super hard and locked. The design of the book was simple but at the bottom of the book, there was the attachment of pieces of nail-like shapes and at the top, there was a hard different color scale attached. In the middle of the book, there was the shape of a key. It was circular and curvy and the sign of the snake was drawn on the key part. 

"Hmm, the snake. The symbol shows similar to the Healer Ring" John thought for a while and decide to check it out. 

"Liva put the barrier around my tent. No one could hear or enter my tent until I wanted"

"Okay master but it will consume lots of magic"

"It's fine. We can store magic later"

After Liva finishes putting the barrier around the tent, John takes out the Healer Ring from the space ring. He put the Healer Ring on the book and it works. The snakes of the ring suddenly crawl around the circle and change their position. A hole formed in the middle of the book and the snakes put their head inside. The book starts to fly in the air and there was a green light coming out from the book. And in a blink, it falls on the floor opening the page. John was astonished to see it. He wasn't anything expecting except the Healer Ring to get on his hand. He picks up the book and surprisingly, the book had the same text as he found the book in Library. The notebook had explained which alphabet shows what and what's its means. John thought he was lucky to get the notebook as well as the healer ring. John couldn't wait to return and read both books.

"Liva you can undo the shield"

"Okay master"

John lay on the bed and thinks, how can the three things can be related? "According to the Liva, Healer Ring has its properties and function. It was created for personal use. How can it be related to the books? There are many unfolded secrets and about it, there wasn't mention anything in the novel. Hmm, Did I opened a new plot or not? And King must know the ring secret? So the king sends the princess Aamel to find it. Hmm, I won't find my answer here. I should get close to the members of the Royal Palace." John wants to sleep but he couldn't get any sleep.

Early morning he went to the princess Aamel tent. He waits outside and Carla walks out from the tent. 

"Sir do you have business here?"

"Yes, I would like to meet Princess Aamel" John smiles.

"I am sorry you can't meet the princess now. The princess is taking a rest," Carla says in a rude tone. 

"Oh, I am sorry. I didn't know about it. And I am sorry to disturb you early in the morning. I just wanted to ask about the princess's condition. She was heavily wounded in the war." John continues to talk with a soft tone while giving the soft smile. 

"She is doing all good. And thank you for caring about the princess" Carla's voice was still rude and she was studying John from head to toe.

"I am glad to hear it. The Princess is doing good. I will visit later and I hope the lady always stands next to the princess. So, the princess won't be lost next time" John bow his head and walked away after giving a faint sweet smile to Carla. 

Carla stands there dumbfounded and thinking what he meant. At first, Carla's face reddened in angry but soon she realized what John was talking about. She remembers the princess saying someone helped her that day. Carla soon got embarrassed and enter the tent with shame.
