Chapter-16

I touched the tattoo and suddenly the dark fog appears from it and the sword was in my hand. The energy leaking by the sword was overwhelming for me and the dark fog spreading by the sword was wrapping me and making me unable to breathe. I suddenly fainted. When I open my eyes I was floating in the dark fog.

"Greeting master"

I look here and there but I didn't see anyone. Everything was dark and nothing can be seen. Only the sound I was hearing. And a sword pop-out shining from the dark fog. "I Liva the great sword greets the master"

Well, at first I thought this must be some joke. A Sword talking is an impossible thing, then I quickly admit in this world anything is possible. Again the sword continues, "I have been lived more than thousands of years and gain the ability to speak and sensing like beings. The previous master hid me on her pet and you released me from that disgusting stomach. I Liva is ready to serve master happily".

"Wait? It is simple for the famous sword to serve anyone this easily?" I was having doubts about how the sword was giving on easily. I thought it might be difficult to form a contract with the famous destructive sword and a human. 

"Yes- yes, it is easy to serve" the voice of the sword was expressing frustration. "Master released me so I was being easy-going"

"Hmm, well I don't want to be your master" I crossed my arms.

"No, please be my master" the sword start jumping around me. He seems to be out of the patient. 

"Tell me the truth why you want the master so badly?" 

"No, that I can't tell you"

"Than I won't be your master" I turn to another side. I pretend to close my eyes and not hear any single words of sword how much it beg or cried. 

"Fine, I will answer."

"I am listening" I turn over the sword and opened my eyes.

"You were pretending to not hear me a few minutes ago. Ah, This is making me lose my pride."

"Aren't you going to say?" 

The sword sighed "If I can't find the master, I will vanish permanently. I need someone to keep my energy going on and only the masters can provide me the energy."

I look over the sword," and what kind of energy do you need?"

"Nothing big, just a small amount of mana from master"

"Hmm, Mana" I have already a less range of mana so, I can't use my magic properly, and giving some of to sword might be fine I thought. "Okay I agree to be your master but there is some condition." 

"I will accept any kind of condition of the master and what are those?" The sword jumped in happily.

"First you can't absorb the mana as you wish from me and you aren't allowed to show yourself outside without my permission."

There was silence for a minute. "Okay, I Liva agree on the condition."

"That's good, then let's form the contract between us." I smiled.

"Sure Master, put your right hand above me. Then poke or cut your one finger and drop some blood of yours above me."

I did as the sword told me and the contract between us was formed.

"From today, this great sword Liva will follow the master with my loyalty," Liva said the last word and disappeared. 

It was already the next day when I woke up. The things that happen with Liva seems to be like a dream but looking at my wrist tattoo It was all real. I dress up and walk outside of the house. After walking for a while I can see the people of the village were gathering and the Chief was saying something. I went up there. After the gathering, I asked the Chief what is happening since I didn't catch up with the whole conservation. At first, the Chief was not saying anything, and after I asked him again and again he finally speaks. 

"Child, I don't want to trouble you anymore but the Lion Clan's people are bringing troubles to us" Chief sounded a bit stress.  

"Lion Clan?" 

"Yes, They are one of a respected clan of this whole empire" Chief sighed "you might don't know about them."

Of course, I know them. They are the business partner of my clan, the Great Red Dragon Clan. Besides the business partners, the leaders of Lion Clan 'Marco Perez' and Great Red Dragon Clan 'Ethan Williams' are close friends too. Also, Both Ethan Willams and Marco Perez are villains of the novel. I look over the chief "what they are asking?"

"They are asking for our land. The land we were born, we grew up and we will die in the future on this land. We didn't accept their offer and now they have threatened us to leave this place or they will kill everyone" The Chief sounded more stressed.

"Hmm" capturing this land and doing some project must be their objective. And mostly Ethan also has a hand on this. Even though Marco is giving orders to his men but Ethan is playing from backstage. 

"I will help you out" I patted Chief's shoulder and after hearing this Chief lighten a bit. 

 After two days, I followed Chief to the Lion Clan base camp as a servant along with some men of Chief. I painted my face with bright yellow color and wear the clothes as villagers. Otherwise, the people of Lion Clan will recognize me easily. Inside the camp, there was three four-star level master sitting. When we enter the camp, they stare at us as we are some kind of dirt. From three of them, I recognize two of them. They were master Drek and Master Kim. The other one is unknown. Master Drek is the right hand of Marco Perez and completes the troublesome works. That means it's bad news to be him here. The discussion took a long time and ended with the war between Lion Clan and the Sunny Village. 

It's been three days after the discussion and Now, it's already time for war. Elderly people and children were transported to a safe place from the village. And beside them, all of them joined in the war. Young ladies and boys, women and men, everyone picked their weapons and get ready for the war. With them, I was standing there with my axe and dagger wearing a mask on my face. But still, the number of troops was smaller than Lion Clan. Looking at the troops of rival parties, there were more than forty well-trained soldiers.

The war began and people from both sides started attacking each other. Marina and her younger brother were leading one group of their people and Chief was leading another group. I was in middle, killing and stabbing a rival team. In the middle of the war, I was amazed by the sunny village people. They were smaller in troops but still managing to wipe half of the rival party. They were strong like a beast but Chief and Marina were out of the category. They have surpassed ordinary people's strength. The rival party starts to run away and then the three masters lead the war. 

"Kill those, all of the ants" Master Drek

"Okay master but that Chief is stronger than we except" Master Kim.

"Clean the ground, I will take over him." Master Drek. 

With the order of Master Drek, the other two masters start to wipe the warriors of the sunny village, and Master Drek starts fighting with the Chief. Master Kim attack Marina and the other one attack me. I was giving my best and fighting with him all with my power but a mere two-start level can't stand in front of the four-star level master. My axe went fly away and my dagger broke down into pieces with the strong magic. My body got slammed on the floor and I coughed bloods. My body was in a state of unable to stand or move after fighting for hours with a Four-star level master but still I didn't give up. I manage somehow to stand straight on my legs. I look over the ground with my swollen eyes and Marina was already in more bad condition than me and the Chief was still fighting with Master Derk.

"This stupid kid still has the stamina to stand. Let me send you hell at once" he grinned and comes over me with his full power. Quickly, I called out Liva. Liva appeared on my hand and I was successful to block the attack of powerful magic on time. But I was sent flying over six meters away. I was still unable to use Liva full power because of less magic on me. He was surprised to see me alive. Then he got furious and attack me with more powerful magic balls. Liva was blocking all the magic and absorbing it. This one was the unforeseen part of Liva for me. 

"How the hell this bastard keeps blocking my attacks" he got more furious.

Without saying a word I attacked him with Liva in full power and he died on the spot. Master Kim was shocked to see this and he quickly charged over me leaving the Marina and others. Master Kim was stronger than the one who died. He non-stops attacked me with his thorn hammer. The attack was double powerful enough to pierce through my body by that thorn. The fight between him and me continues for the next hours and finally, I managed to slice him down.

On the other side, Master Drek and the Cheif were fighting with the fierce powers. They both are attacking and slamming down each other in a wild. It was like, hunt or be hunted. I rushed toward them, to help Chief. When Master Drek saw me coming and realized they have lost the war, he threw Chief away with the powerful lighting ball more than a meters away. He quickly forms another powerful lightning ball than before and throws it toward Marina, who was laying poorly on the floor unable to run. I was far away from Marin but run toward her like a crazily to block the attack but it was going to be too late. Suddenly, Chief blocks the lighting ball with his body smiling at Marina. The Chief died and Master Drek escaped.
