chapter 1: 'oh why!'

Alarm sounds at 6:30 am on a Tuesday morning; Beep Beep.

Kira laying lazily on her bed with a blanket over a head mumbles.

"ughh!...why does this alarm hate me so much, I need to sleep more, but there's school today... I'm already hating this".

She steps out of bed with her eyes open halfway, she steps into the bathroom. Afraid that she might sleep off in the bathtub if she takes a warm bath, she took a quick cold shower.

Kira walks towards the mirror stand and takes out her tooth brush and paste to scrub her teeth.

As she finished, thoughts about school resumption filled her head.

"I just want to get out of this small hell"

" I can't believe it's the last year"

"I can't wait to start working"

The eighteen year old was so excited that she was finally going to live her dream life after high school. She already concluded on not going to college immediately, maybe later, but definitely not immediately.

Kira walks into her walk-in closet to pick her outfit. She tied her hair into a rough bun and starts to apply a light makeup. Just some mascara and lipgloss, she definitely didn't need heavy makeup to look beautiful. She has arched brows with Hazel Green eyes, long black hair that curled up a bit at the end. Perfectly full pink lips, she had the face and body of a model 'as expected'.

Her dream was always to become a very popular model, so she applied for it, fortunately, she got in. Her parents are rich, but she doesn't want to depend on them after high school.

After an hour and few minutes, her mum called out to her,

"Kira!?, Kira!?, come down already, do you want to be late for school?"

" I'm here already Mama and I'm not that late... it's just 7:34, and since I'm driving, it won't take long to reach my school" Kira kisses her mum's forehead making her mum sigh.

" ok young lady, are you ready?"

"Of course mama" she smiles at her mum.

" Hey beautiful"

Kira turns around to reply to him when she saw that her Dad wasn't referring to her.

'of course,his daughter isn't beautiful,but his wife is' she rolled her eyes. Her dad walks closer to her mum and gives her a kiss.

Kira was in no mood for their morning kisses. she didn't want to get disgusted so she said out loud,

" ohhkay, I'll just drive myself then, and thank you, Dad, for successfully ignoring your only beautiful daughter for your "long lost" wife. I don't like any of you."

Her parents laughs at her whining, and her mum speaks again, almost shouting,

"Kira, no shopping or playing video games before school,okay!?"

Kira smiles widely,

"mum...you know that can't happen,I have to". She shrugs.

Just as her mum was about to scold her, Kira ran out of the house and zooms off immediately she reached the car. As the couple saw the car zooming off leaving behind specks of dust, her Dad, Josh, chuckled at his daughter's naughty behavior.

" See, this is what I'm saying, I really do hope your daughter won't be the end of me. I don't know what I have gotten myself into, she got all this behaviors from you." Kira's mum, Anne, starts to complain.

"That is why you fell in love with me, right?, isn't it?" Josh grins.

'and I still get nervous' Anne thought.

Josh gives his wife a kiss on the forehead and heads for his company. He wasn't late but he is late. He's the boss of the company, He had everything, A family, wealth, riches, and health. Josh was still going after more though. He has the second best law firm in the country but he wanted more.

There's a lot of history and mystery behind his life though, and he would know every . single.one of them.
