Happiness?

I was anxious and noticed that my palms were already sweating. While I sat outside the President's office and waited for them to call me as I casually wiped my palms on my jeans.

I had never really entered the Leopold Company building before, and it was very breathtaking! I adore how the building's architectural design was thoughtfully formed into each and every space, making it exciting.

But about the man who generously took me home wearing the golden lion signet ring, I've speculated that he might be a relative of the Leopold's or...he might be Alexander!

He wouldn't bother someone like me in his life despite the fact that he is really busy right now.

But when he brought me home, I didn't even ask the kind man's name; I've been curious about his name ever since.

I was earlier instructed by a female secretary to wait here outside the office of the company's president rather than outside the hiring department.

Rather of being anxious about meeting the company president, I'm worried about if the secretary was telling the truth. Considering that I was the only person waiting outside the office! I feel ashamed since I can see that the workers who are passing by are staring at me.

Should I proceed through the hiring department instead of leaving? Perhaps the Secretary misunderstood what I was saying, and she certainly didn't get what I mean.

I just crossed my legs then my arms while I patiently waited for them to call me.

I've been wondering how that business card got into my journal, did he really put it in there? Well I think obviously it is! Because he's the one who found it and held it for a while!

I just took a sigh and calmed my thoughts. I don't want to trouble my mind for now.

As I waited patiently, I instantly recalled him fastening my seatbelt and his delicate fragrance from the previous evening. Upon thinking that, I blushed.

"Excuse me Ms. Fritz!" A male voice called my name and I find who it was,

A male wearing a white collar shirt with his black pants and a blue laced ID around his neck. He was by the door of the President's office.

"The President was expecting your presence, please do come in," He invited me in his polite tone.

A President? was expecting my arrival? So I suppose that secretary wasn't entirely off-base.

I stagger over to him, embarrassed, and say, "A-ah! Right!" as we both enter the office.

Upon entering the president's office, I saw a man in his 30s seated at his desk.

He has sardonic eyes, well-groomed cheeks, hair that is straightened back from a high brow, a gold watch that twinkles at his wrist, and he wears gray worsted slacks and a navy blazer.

The person who welcomed me in led me to the chair next to the president's table and then quietly left us.

"Good day, Ms. Fritz." He greeted me with a smile.

"I'm Albrecht Martinez, the President of the board," He introduced and then he grabbed something under his desk. A file was on his hands.

"If you've been wondering why you are here instead at the Hiring Department, I just received a file from them and your resume was impressive," He said and then he analyzed what's inside the file.

R-resume? I-i didn't submit anything! Wait a minute...I forgot that i always put it on my journal! Why didn't I even noticed that's it's missing!?

"But unfortunately,"

I started to feel anxious and waited for him to speak again.

A-am I going to be denied? Please-please! Not again!

"There are no available slots for you to work at the other departments." He finally said which made my heart dropped.

"B-but i-s there anyway I could get a job?" I asked in a hopeless tone, holding back my tears.

This is my last opportunity! My only opportunity! Why did I wind myself here since they claimed there was no opening for me to work here?

"You do have," he remarked, before taking something from the files and handing me a note.

I experienced a dual sense of confusion and amazement.

I still have hope!

"P-pardon, but what is this for?" I asked him in a confused tone upon receiving the letter from his hands.

He gave me a smile.

"It's a recommendation letter for you. Tomorrow at this kind of hour, come back as we expect your presence, interviewing you."

A-a recommendation letter? Me? Interviewed by them? And we??

"I suggest you get ready for your appearance tomorrow thus the chairman will be there, monitoring." He grinned which made me more nervous.

"And this will be just between us." He winked.

The chairman? Will be there? Is that means The Alexander Marius Leopold will be there to monitor me? This is a great opportunity! But I feel nervous meeting him face to face.

"Then I'll see you tomorrow, Ms. Fritz."

And he stood up from his seat and offered his hand to me for both of us to shake hands. I wholeheartedly accepted it and smiled affectively.

"Yes, I'll do my best."

"Aunt Lucinda!?" I called through my phone with excitement.

"Yes, Raven?" She answered calmly.

I rolled my eyes and shooked my head. She always call me that instead of Haven.

"You won't believe this! I-"

She suddenly cutted me off.

"Aren't you going here in Sudbury? I thought you'll visit me? My birthday will be by next week, I was hoping you could visit here, for us to celebrate." She said in a soft tone. I just breathed slowly at the other line while I walked through the park.

"Yes, I know that Auntie. I was finding a gift for you, here in Bredon. There's a lot of shops here that I could choose from." I answered with a chuckle.

"Your presence is enough, Raven. I expect nothing more." She said and I smiled from her answer.

"I'll just surprise you when I get there."

There was a long pause before she could answer back.

"So why'd you called? Did something happened?" She asked in worried tone.

I bursted in excitement that I jumped in joy.

The passerby's we're looking at me confusingly but I didn't care because I wanted to make this memorable.

"I got it! I got a job~! And it's Not just any company who hired me! It was the Leopold's Enigma Companies!" I said with my excitement overwhelming me.

I heard her gasped at the other line.

"Is that true? If it does, we can celebrate that once you get here in Sudbury~." She said happily.

"Then when will you start working there?" She asked suddenly.

"Hmm..I don't know when yet, but firstly I wanted to visit you as soon as I can."
