" What are you doing you .?" you thundered pulling back your hand with a jolt but to no avail, you might have to disarm him cause he held your hand in an iron-clad grip.

" What you thought I was honestly kidnapping you" he mocked your retaliation. You didn't know what to make out of this and followed after him. He made you run to school till you guys reached both of you were submerged in sweat and heaving down.

You tore your hand away from the voluble teenager to catch your breath. He made you run more than 2 km." what are we supposed to do now the gate is not even open" but what got on your nerves was Hikaru's response.

The golden-haired male shrugged off his shoulder "Oops"

You stared at the male's nonchalant behaviour and couldn't decide if to exhibit the emotion you are feeling right now or give up and walk away. And you choose the latter. You started to gain distance from the garrulous male. On noticing he followed in your pursuit.

" don't be upset I will be there with you "The blond joined the furious girl with a dulcet smile but you were having none of that.

" I will be fine on my own" You tried to see the positivity in this thinking you could investigate the school now if only you found a way to lose the male.

" Cheer up dove " he playfully poked your arm and cheeks but it only seemed to test your patience more.

"First you started to do baked goods now I am a bird.? Don't call me anything"

Hikaru's mood took a total turn without him even noticing. His eyes darkened and his aura began to feel opposite from his usual happy self.

Forcing few passers-by to avoid the area like he was a ticking time bomb. You noticed it. This was just like earlier today. Your hands began to become sweaty and you shifted your weight from one leg to another.

It was in your best interest to calm him down. You weren't planning to stay here for a long time anyway

"Well, it's not like I mind it. Dove seems like a cool nickname. But no more baked goods please." you spoke in a genuine tone that seemed to nettle the boy.

He soon gave his signature smile and grabbed your wrist dragging you around the school.

He finally halted in front of the wall which on the inside had a large tree laying on it for support. The tree sprawling wide covered the length of a small classroom.

" Are we gonna climb now?" you asked only to see the boy get on his knees to push you up.

You looked down towards your skirt then at him then looked back down. Not taking a chance you moved back from the wall as well as the male after gaining some momentum which you thought would be enough to help you climb the wall, you jumped.

You reached the upper side and slowly started to propel yourself. Turning back to see the male missing. He was already on the other side.

You jumped down and opened your mouth to ask but the male pushed up his lean fingers on your lips.

"shush now let's explore" he took you by your hand and dragged you across the school. You had lost the number of times the blond male dragged you today.

But you both soon came to a halt in front of a door that said "Teachers lounge: teachers only ".

"It's just the teachers' lounge" You inspected through the double glass to see what was so special about it.

"Not just teachers lounge it's the vault of secrets" the male whispered in my ear. He opened a door with the key and looked back to wink at me

' he must have stolen it' As a student, you could never be inside the teacher's lounge, but you were curious about what it looked like. Upon entering you saw a cozy space with comfortable chairs and couches, where teachers can relax during their breaks.

There's a large table where they eat lunch or grade papers, and the walls are adorned with colourful posters and student artwork.

You're intrigued by the idea of space it looked like a luxury hotel lobby more than anything the only thing that would make you think it is the teachers' lounge was the huge piles of notebooks stacked upon all desks.

Moving your hand along the surface you found a name you did recognize 'chuzuro soma' the maths teacher. One of the permanent teachers you remembered.

Hikaru had his hands busy with something you peered over his shoulder to look at what he was placing inside the drawer. You narrowed your eyes thinking the guy might be doing something heinous.

"What are you putting in there," you asked while flipping over some maths notebooks.

" The English teacher's birthday is today of course, so a cake "The blonde safely put the vanilla cheesecake in her drawer and smiled.

" she is a good teacher"

You blushed in embarrassment realizing how quickly and wrongly you had judged the male. You went back to examining the maths teacher's desk.

He had arranged all the notebooks in alphabetical order starting with Akari and ending with names you don't yet recognize. Sliding your hand across the smooth desk you pause.

There is something wrong. You move back your hand to that spot and knock. A shallow sound emitted from the area.

You carefully raise the small area with the help of a scale. It's a bit dusty but you find a small box and paper. Your eyes widen upon seeing familiar gibberish. It was the same paper that made your brain rack up last night.

You pocket in the box and paper upon hearing footsteps down the hallway. Soon other students join the room and start decorating the lounge. Hikaru had invited so many other students for decoration it took you guys no time to complete it.

Someone placed a set of cold hands on your shoulders and you got startled.

" huh, Subaru " you see a set of silver eyes.

"Did I surprise you asuna?" said the white-haired male apologetically

You nodded in dismal you were just startled because of his hands being so cold. It was as if he had put them in the freezer for hours. Or his natural temperature was unbelievably low.

" Mr chouzuro helped us and gave us the key. " he folded paper swans elegantly as he informed you "We always do this, you never know what happens right"

"Haha yeah for a second I thought we were here for a prank" Your cheeks became red again because you thought Hikaru had stolen the keys.

A strong clap emitted from the other side of the room. All students turned around to find the maths teacher at the doorway. He stood there proud of his pupils' work. " She will be here in three minutes you all better disappear before that"

You narrowed your eyes at the plain male. Could he be the culprit you are after the person who is responsible for the disappearance of your brother and many more. Others start to leave as all work was done but you still had unfinished business. You took a quick strides towards your teacher but you were interrupted by another student.

You had seen the girl in your class. She was the one and only student that focused on all the lectures and also the top student in the school she was a scholarship aided and had entered school not so long before you did.

" sir I think you made a mistake checking here this is the correct answer I tried solving it in all methods applicable this was the only answer." the girl spoke with zero hesitation. She must have worked hard for that quiz.

You peered over her shoulder to see this was the very question you had been marked wrong. The same question. The very question that Akira insulted you on.

" You marked mine wrong too. I got the same answer as her " You pointed at the test paper.

"Sir, do you now believe me.?" she questioned the teacher.

The teacher sighed and brought out the register changing the marks and making you both rank first together with the crimson-haired male. Cheering on your victory over the haughty male you both left the lounge.

"Hayami," she moved her hands towards you.

"Asuna, " you shake her hand eagerly

" I thought he wouldn't change the marks but he did thanks to you. Thank you " the blue-eyed female spoke in gratitude

" I thought my answer was wrong but after seeing your calculation I knew it was right" You did not even recheck but this girl calculated it again and again till she was sure this was the only answer. " well what class are you going to now .?"

" Geography "

"Ugh," you groaned. First thing in the morning and you get to see that annoying woman's face.

Entering the class before anyone else you both sat down beside each other. Leaving space on the other side for Lily.

Conversing with the female you found out she was also an orphan. Leaving her no choice but to study her best and stick to her scholarship. She also made herself as invisible as possible to not attract attention for the past few weeks and it worked so far.

" dorm b.?" you asked her curiously. You had heard all about dorm A in which Lily resided. Dorm b didn't have many students since it was for financially unaided and scholarship students who couldn't afford the luxury of Dorm A.

" yeah, it is a lot smaller than dorm A it barely has more than 20 kids. It is a two-floor building but my room is better than my old orphanage so I am happy " said the girl pushing her blonde bangs behind her ear.

If you had to say you would say that she was the perfect female lead from a classic manga. Smart poor and determined. Plus she did have an air of naivety around her too.

" I will move into the dorm soon too. "you told your newfound friend.

" you will.?" a familiar meek voice called out from behind.

"Lily finally you are here, come sit down" you patted the seat beside you." after a month or two I will move in " you chuckled nervously

You weren't sure you could catch the person so quickly but surely you would move into the dorm in two months max. Three of you began to blend in with each other and chat but it didn't last long.

" ahem ahem " someone cleared their throat. You didn't need to turn to know it was your geography teacher. Quieting down your voice for the time being you three continued to chat after the teacher left your bubble. Soon the period came to an end.

" We have pe together before break let's meet then" Lily headed in the opposite direction leaving you and Hayami.

" We got biology next right "

" yes "

" We are late aren't we"

" Yes to that too"

Both of you broke in a run reaching the class just in time. The teacher hadn't entered yet. Huffing and puffing you sat next to your partner Hayami sitting close behind.

" Take a breath y/n " the white-haired male handed you water. Thanking him you drank some to get a chilling sensation down your throat.

The teacher entered striking "We got runners today " he said pointing at you and Hayami " just in time. For project head selection which one of you will like to direct it "

"Hayami. sir. She is awesome she would be perfect for it" you spoke hoping the girl would accept the offer.

She blushed a bit but soon others in class began to protest. Being a head gave extra marks and they didn't wanna lose it to a girl like her. But all the whispers quietened down after the white-haired supported your choice too.

" I agree with Asuna. I too do think Miss Ebina should be given a chance " Subaru spoke which made the whole class feel silent.

"Then it's decided she is the one who will lead all of you for the rest of the academic year. " he dusted off his clothes and got up from his chair to start the lecture.

" Seems like they all listen to you" you quietly whispered to the authoritative male. " your charisma shines brighter than Hikaru's smile "

He smiled warmly looking at the chuckling female beside him. " I am sorry for yesterday Hikaru must have done a number on you. I didn't think he would go that far "

" what "

" The boys stayed over for so long instead of letting you rest. "

" You should have come as well it was awesome " you fondly remembered as you and kazuto destroyed a certain red-haired male. Leaving him in dusty defeat. " you would certainly see Akira in tears then "

" Come at him in his forte. He will be the one leaving others in tears" the male said

" What bullying.? I can bully better than him. Even Aya and her cronies could do it better than him" You dramatically rolled your eyes.

Muffling his chuckles he looked at you touching your forehead with his index finger as some form of affection "Don't let him hear you say that he will come for you"

" Won't you protect me " You pushed some boundaries towards the male making you wonder what would he do

" He must have lost his already lost brain to harm you "
