Experiments Part 4: Care Explanation

The last few weeks were going well. Kakarot spent time with everyone directly and found no difference than what he felt when a Multiform hung out with them and himself.

Most of his main people didn't have an issue between the Prime and a Multiform. Only Bulma preferred Prime or the one who was in the lab over others.

With Rigor & Seppari enjoying when he popped up to visit and talk with the other Saiyans the most. The City was quite large after the colonization with a few robots, Kanassans, and Namekians helping with Architecture.

A small problem had rose up when talking with Bulma after he returned from Jupiter.

"Come on, why not allow them to take it?" Bulma asked as they were in the main lab currently. A few soil samples placed in containers for study. Which was something her father Dr.Briefs asked for when he goes to different planets and Dimenisons. "They just want to be closer to you and like us."

"Because it is a choice that children should not be allowed to make. Changing their genetic structure is stupid. You have to take into account the different changes that puberty will come with as they age. The serum has so many variables, it would be an awful thing for a parent to do so. I am a killer but not someone to experiment on his "own" children with untested mutagens."

To him, the kids were all his. It was just that simple.

"But Ruby is your daughter.. she wants to be like you after finally meeting you!" Bulma could tell the young girl was more than wanting to be like her father and be a Saiyan. Much more than compared to the others lately. "Its not fair to subject her to a second life of not being with you! All she wants..."

"That may be, but I will not do it." Kakarot stopped her by placing his hand on her shoulder. Bulma was getting to work up over the situation. A type of Saiyan pride maybe, he had no idea since she was moody about different things lately. "When they are older, I will address the situation further. You have to remember this is the safer route to go. Mai lost control when she woke up from her coma. She was both older and had time to mature and still needed to fight against impulses."

"But I was fine.." Bulma pointed out she did not lose control despite her exposure. "..just a little increase in my anger at times." Thinking of how strong the kids are, she was grateful they were stronger than them in case something did go wrong.

*Beep beep!* An alarm went off loudly. Kakarot used Teleport as this was the security for the Medical lab. Leaving a bewildered Bulma who had to follow by flight and the use of the scouter on where he went.

Her Ki Sense was to sporadic unless she really concentrated. Teleportation took much out of her as well. Not smart to waste considering everything that could go wrong when an alarm goes off.

Inside the room, a few of the guards were out cold with Inhibitor Collars on their necks. The fact it was the new ones designed for powerful ki fighter threats did not bode well.

Lapiz and Lazuli were both embedded in a wall not moving. Two Multiforms split off and went to take care of them while Kakarot darted to an area when a red Ki blast fired out. Ruby just blasted a hulking monster with tentacles away from her.

"Dad, help!" The girl had a scared look in her eyes. Something he was not used to seeing from her. "It's.." Her eyes went wide as her father went ballistic at whatever she fought against in an instant.

*Pew!* Kakarot powered up to his max power in less than a second and blasted the tentacles away in a flurry of Ki blasts. Using Telepathy on the creature revealed nothing but a desire to consume everything as he tried a Mental Assault to disable it.

It flayed about and sent additional tentacles around the room to feed on anything.

"Raaawwr!" The monster lunged at the Champion and tried to wrap him up in a mound of mutating flesh. The moment contact was made, Kakarot grabbed hold and wrap the shifting blob with his Magic and Teleport high into the Stratosphere.

Pushing his Ki outward in a expunge close to Final Explosion, the radius of 600 feet was atomized by black red violent energy. Several defensive satellites recorded what took place before sending an all-clear signal and disengaging Laser cannons on him.

With the threat gone, he was able to think clearly again once more. He hadn't felt a loss of control since the time he killed Shu. In fact it was much worse.

'What the hell was that thing?' Using his Senses to check for any trace, he was happy nothing remained. 'At least the technique to destroy regenerating creatures works. Now to find out what happened back home."

With a simple Teleport, he was back inside the lab having calmed down from his outburst. Bulma tending to Ruby who didnt dare to look up at him. Which was weird considering everything that just happened.

"Well now," Kakarot spread his Senses out to locate Paopao and Topaz. The five were usually together so it shouldn't be hard to find them. He really hoped they were not eaten by whatever that thing was. He found Paopao on the Lookout sleeping in her bed. But no Topaz. "what happened?"

A wave of negative energy was swallowed by Kakarot in an instant as moved to check on his daughter closer. The hackles on the back of his neck rising from the despair. Lapis and Lazuli walked over and stood next to Ruby.

"No.. no... no..." Kakarot pinched the bridge of his nose as the Multiforms that watched over the kids returned to him. "..no way would any of you do something so stupid!"

*Chish!* The door opened with a few others coming in to assist the situation now that the worst part was over. In there defense, protocol dictated they secured anything dangerous before any teams could do so.

But nothing else happened at any of the bases or outposts. So it was really weird that only in the Capital did something happen. Even weirder one of the Medical Labs.

Towa came in and looked at the trio then frowned. Pulling out some Red Senzu Beans, she fed it to each of them.

*Woosh!* Ruby, Lapis, and Lazuli grew in power with their tails sprouting out ripping holes in their pants. Their hair became a little wilder but not much so.

The room was quiet as Kakarot stared at them unrelenting. His Aspect of Longevity made him aware their lifespan had plummeted to dangerously low levels from taking the mutagen. Not only would they have withered into nothing in a few days, but they would have lost all semblance of self.

The Red Senzu Beans were derived from regular Senzu Beans and Dark Magic to help restore Magic and Spirit loss. A project to help Kakarot in case he was in a bind or had to forcefully take over a wave of enemies with the Majin/Timebreaker Marks.

*Click!* On the bottom of their new tails, Inhibitor Bracelets were placed on them. Suppressing the mutagenic properties if they were to go out of control. Or see a Moon for one thing.

"If you ever lose control or remove those devices, I will kill you myself. You have put the very life of everyone in danger including yourself." Kakarot frowned looking at the children. Going over what happeened the Multifroms were able to gather, what was said by the monster made hte hackles on his body rise. "Choosing to bring this out I now know for a fact you...."

"Kakarot..." Bulma tried to intervene. Not liking the feeling coming off of him. Glad his energy was depleted as he was gaining more Ki as his rage built up. ".. they are kids.. remember..."

"No!" He cut her off in a state of controlled anger. "Not a word! Topaz had issues and you thought this was a way to make him fit in better, now look at what happened!?"

Lapis, Lazuli, and Ruby were shaking like leaves brushed by a breeze. It didn't help Kakarot used Telekinesis to keep them looking at him directly. They were not going to be able to look away and make themselves feel small for comfort.

"It is not like we thought he would lose controlled like that.." Ruby murmured. "You didn't have to kill him..."

"He tried to eat your siblings, and even tried to eat you.." Kakarot barely settled down before a wave of anger built up again. ".. there was nothing inside him besides a programmed biological need to grow stronger."

"The Evil Containment Wave could have worked.." Lapis said in defense.

"Then why didn't you use it?" He looked over at the wall imprinted of where their bodies once were. Seeing traces of blood still, his fists balled up at the thought if his Multiforms were unable to stabilize them. 'Even the use of Vampirism couldn't slow the mutation down that much and only sped up the change in them.'

"I.. I was scared." Lapis felt sick to his stomach mentioning it now. The sight of Topaz going crazy and sayig he would eat them popped back up in his head. "But you are stronger, why didn't you?"

"To protect us." Lazuli stated, she was the most calm out of the three and noticed Kakarot had looked at the wall and rembered how he react when he came into the room. Tears coming down her cheeks but she pressed on. "At first glance, Topaz looked nothing like himself and even struck out at us. He was just a mindless monster at that point when father arrived."

"But your strong dad, you could have subdued him." Ruby sniffled a little.

"I could not have. Nor would I have sent anyone to try and do so. All I felt was a threat and acted against it. Using Telepathy I was unable to even get through to the creature at the time. No way would I allow a chance for it to become stronger than myself and kill others." Kakarot crossed his arms thinking of how to move on further from this. "You three.. go to your rooms. I will speak with you after you have the chance to settle down."

He wanted to hug them but part of him prevented that. Previous training urging that would a bad move considering the people in the room would do so. A quick check with King Yemma confirmed it.

"Ok.." The trio walked off but stopped at his next words.

"Topaz did not go to the Otherworld, keep in mind that he is gone completely." It was harsh but needed to be said to them. "Remember the next time you decide to steal something you know nothing about."

Katas said nothing but Bulma was nothing going to let it slide the same as a few others.

"They just lost one of their friends.. and you.."

"And I reminded them that their friend was killed by them. Guilt is a good reminder of why rules exist." Kakarot met her with a steely gaze. "They can grieve however they want, I want them to always remember that they won't get off scot-free from doing something like this."

"Why not be kinder to them?" Lunch frowned. "You are their father, no need to be a jerk!"

"Because all of you will most likely do so. Right now you are coming to their defense and saying my way is wrong, I don't really care you believe so." Kakarot gave them all a look over. "You all are more or less pampered. Grew up in good conditions. Unable to see children more than that, I know what kids are capable of."

"So.."

"So nothing. They broke into my lab. Snuck into a room with Research that was not meant for the public. Took a sample of an unstable mutagen, then applied it to themselves. That is not the act of children, that is the act of potential monsters. I am still going to conduct an Investigation but Topaz... was not right at all. Whether he coerced them or something else is at play remains to be seen."

Thinking on how the Prototype blueprint of Cell never became close to him, he felt a sick feeling build in his stomach. Respecting the boundries of the child could have cost him his current family.

Old Gohan studied his face closely. Knowing something was currently eating away at Kakarot he said nothing for now.

"He was always withdrawn and barely interacted with anyone else besides the other four. A few times I caught him looking at Lapis and Lazuli oddly. Not to mention the seven. He never gave an odd look to the twins though." Katas frowned as he never paid it much thought at those times. "But considering his behavior of being abducted and experimented on, I assume the trauma still lingered."

"How did your sessions with him go?" Pilaf asked. "Surely you made some kind of headway in getting him to open up."

"Non engaging, just because he is dead I won't speak what took place in detail. But he was not grieving or showing emotional problems when asked about it. I didn't press since the option of letting him come into what took place slowly was the better route to go." Kakarot recalled the Psychological teaching then put it to the side for later discussion. "Just engage the others better to take care of the situation."

A few left the room still upset but Launch stood back. They were defintely going to console the children by the looks on their faces. One thing she notice, he was still angry but kept it under control.
