Chapter-4:A little Hope left(3)

After they reached the Church,one of the nuns cleaning the pathway saw them and he immediately calls for help.

Three guards came to help them and the kids were immediately carried inside the medical house.They were treated with utmost care.

After a while the priest arrived.He quickly check their bodies,while Luke and Stephen were already healed up using Healing Magic.Alex physical injuries were also healed,but for some reason he couldn't wake up.

The priest then carefully examined his body again.Then he found the reason why he couldn't wake up.He has depleted his mana.

"Your friend....His mana's depleted."

"What?!?!?"

The two were shocked,they didn't sense any mana coming out of Alex while he was fighting,so when?

They were both really confused and worried at the same time.

"Can you heal him!?Please tell me you can!"

Stephen shouted,to him Alex was like a brother.

Because he was a noble,other kids either looked at him with jealousy or thinks he was too high for them.But Alex was different,he talked and played with him as if they were the same.Their rankings doesn't create any walls with Alex.

He was his first friend and he looked at him like he was family.

Amidst the chaos Tobias entered the house and quickly ran to their side.

"Goodness....what happened?"

He looked at Alex and quickly examined him.

"Are the two of you okay?"

The two nod their head.

"Master can you heal Alex??? He depleted his mana so the priest said he can't wake up right now.Is there something you can do?"

Stephen was really worried.

"Come on Stephen, Alex won't die"

Luke patting Stephen trying to calm him down.He was also worried,but because he also lost so much blood he was feeling tired.

"You don't need to worry Kids,this is only natural.He will be okay but, it'll take a while before he wakes up.His body will recover his mana slowly by itself.We just need to wait."

"Tell me what happen anyway"

Stephen then told Tobias all the things that happened,the gates,goblins and Alex suddenly getting stronger.

Tobias was shocked,it was just the first day but by the sound of it,Alex was already using body enhancement.And if the others can't feel his aura,then it also means that he used perfect body enhancement (Meaning he perfectly let mana flows where he wants to,either strengthening his arm or legs or maybe even his sword, without letting a single mana out of his body).

'If only he was gifted with more mana,he wouldn't be like this.Maybe he wouldn't even get hurt in the first place.'

The healers were now heading out,the priest and nun also left after cleaning up and giving them clothes.

Patrick, Alex's mom and Camille were outside ,the priest was telling them not to worry and let them head inside.

Alex's mom quickly run by Alex's side holding his hand.

"Alex!!! Sweetie what happen to you?!?!"

Camille was just silent near behind her mom,she was looking at her brother still covered in blood.

"Mom is Alex okay?"she said with a teary eyes.

Alex's mom tried to calm herself before replying.

"Yes your brother is just sleeping Camille, he'll be alright"

Patrick pats Camille and tried to comfort her.

"He's suffering from mana depletion, he'll be alright after a few hours.All his wounds are also already healed."

Right after Tobias was about to head outside with Patrick,The Agnesis family and Luke's parents came in.

Stephen's father Benard Agnesis looked at Tobias with disgrace and disappointment.

Tobias look down and head out with Patrick.

"Wow they seem to be upset...not like we can do anything.Who knew a gate that small would open there."Patrick try to lighten up the air.

The Agnesis family and Luke's parents arrive and asked what happened.

The two told them everything they saw and everything that happened.The two families were shocked,and after hearing what Alex did to save them,they went to Alex's mom and showed her their gratitude.

"If there if anything we can help you with,please let us know"Stephen's mom told Alex's mom holding her hand.

Since the two kids were now fine,they immediately went home with their families.

Alex's mom was still worried holding his hand.Camille laying his head on the bottom side of the bed.

The Agnesis family after thanking the nuns and priest were heading home.Stephen's mom Harriet Agnesis took his son's hand.

"Are you sure you're okay dear?"

"Yes mom I'm fine,i only got physical wounds and they healed it as soon as I get to the church"

"So you didn't lose any mana like your friend?"

"Yeah, Alex's the only one who use mana"

"So your friend knows how to use mana now?"His father asked.

"Yeah, and if not for his small amount of mana we might not even got hurt."

"Hmmm...what a pity...Such talent but with such unfortunate body"

The sun was about to set and Alex's mom began to feel a lot more worried.It was about three hours now and Alex still wasn't waking up.

Camille was asleep on the bottom side of the bed.

Just as Alex's mom was about to call the priest he heard Alex mumbling.

She immediately took his hand.

"Alex?? Sweetie are you awake!"

Alex slowly opening his eyes saw his mother,her eyes filled with tears.

"Mom?Whats wrong?"

Then he recalled all the things that happened.He looked around and he saw that he was in the medical house.

"Are you okay Alex?i was so worried"

He got up and saw his sister,still sleeping soundly.

"I'm fine now mom...did they tell you what happen"

"Yes they did.Wh..why were you fighting such monsters,you should've run away.Your friends were worried,we were worried.What would happen if there were more coming."

Her worries were now gone,but then she was angry.She was scolding him till one of the nuns came in and check in on him.

Soon after Tobias and Patrick entered the room.They were relieved seeing him so lively again.Tobias went and sat down by his side.

"So you're up,how are you feeling."

"Feeling fine,just a little ache here and there."

"Hahaha thats a given."

"Are the others okay?"

"Yes, they've already went home..."

"I've heard that you killed some of the goblins by yourself."

"The others helped me too"

"And I've also heard that you use enhancement"

Alex was confused....but then he thought about it and realised that he did use it.

"I was just moving my mana to my arm and suddenly everything felt so light,even my sword."

"It seems you've moved your mana to both your arms and your sword.Since the sword you were given supports enhancement."

Alex looked at Patrick.

Patrick just smiled rubbing the back of his head.

"I think being a hunters gonna be too much for you Alex."His mom was still upset.She was thinking of making him quit,but she knew Alex would never do that.

"Don't give up just yet lady, you're son have the potential to be a great if not one of the best hunter."Tobias trying to reassure her.

"Yeah....and somehow I feel like you're mana increased a bit Alex."Patrick joined in on the conversation.

Alex checks his manapool and he could also feel it.His mana increased a bit after he woke up.

"Thats great,we just need you to practice using mana a lot more,maybe then you'll eventually fill up your manapool."

"But for now rest.I'll give you three days off, don't do anything in those three days,just rest."

After getting ready Alex was ready to leave.He was a little worried about wasting time,the entrance exam to the academy was only four months away.

And to be qualified to enter the Academy,they need to awaken either their elemental powers or have perfect body enhancement.(Enhancement covering all their body, physical strength and their sense).

If the candidates have perfect control over their elemental powers or have True Enhancement (Type of body enhancement but way stronger and better than body enhancement.Mana covers their whole body making it appear like armour),they can pass straight through the exams.

But only a handful of these people have appeared.The most recent one the second daughter of the Willsworth family,The family that rules and govern over the city of Achnos.

But she hasn't awaken her elemental powers,nor has she perfected her body enhancement.

No it was far greater than those.She was blessed with Divine powers.Meaning she can use powers of light that only a high priest,bishops and the Pope himself can use.

She had a training far more intense than any other wielder of Light,so she was the Kingdom's pride.

After reaching home Alex's mom told him to rest while she makes dinner.His sister was following her and stayed by her mother's side.

After they had dinner Alex went straight to bed.

Looking back at what happen today,he was feeling kinda proud.He manage to use body enhancement on his first day,and not only that he could enhance his sword as well.

He was really excited for his next training and soon fell asleep.
