Chapter 4 | The Real Truth |

"My real name is John, I have a twin brother. My twin brother and I went to the eatery before we enter we saw Anita outside she was on call we both admire her but I rushed down from the car and walked up to her before my twin brother did.

We talked and exchanged numbers. But my twin brother was pissed with me because of that. The second day, I planned to meet Anita that day, but I don't know that my twin brother was listening to our conversation while I was on call speaking with her. 

Before I could know it my twin brother drug my drink and took my phone, went out to meet with Anita in my place.  When I woke up to check the time I search for my phone but I couldn't find it. 

So I went out and collect our guard cell phone and called my number to my surprise my twin brother pick it up. Lewis told me when he got back that.

He excused himself from Anita. That is when Lewis told me he has already taken my place when I wanted to start talking rudely to Lewis he ends the call.

And he said he Went back to Anita and told her it's the wrong number. Then he demands Anita's phone that he wants to see what Anita stores his name with, he said Anita gave him and he dials my number then he saw that Anita store it with John.  

Lewis changed the number and told Anita to call him Lewis because John sounded too serious, Anita replied and said anything for him. I was so angry and stand to fight him after he told me all this but he begged me and said I should try and understand the love he gat for Anita.

I became calm. One day, Lewis told me to followed him somewhere. When we got to one junction he parked and asked me to stay inside the car while he gets down, but not up to 10mintues.

He returned with a bloodstain all over his clothes I asked him "What happened?" Lewis said Anita told him she was having mestra pain. But it looks like she had an abortion because she is bleeding heavily.

I asked him to let go back and take her to the clinic but he refused and said he's not responsible for the pregnancy so why would he do that? I pity him so much because Anita betrayed his love for her.

Then Lewis begs me to call Miranda and tell her that he as being trying Anita's phone number but not reachable and he's going to China for a business trip, and pretend as if I am Lewis. 

Then I asked why that lie? Lewis said because he doesn't want Miranda to think he got Anita pregnant and besides if he's the one talking to Miranda on the phone his voice might be shaking and Miranda might suspect.

So please pretend that I'm the one calling her, I think that is the only help I can do for Anita, Lewis said. I called Miranda that day and pretend also like Lewis.

But yesterday that Miranda called I just got back from work and Lewis rush to me and told me to keep pretending and I did. But when Miranda said we should meet  I explained to Lewis after I end the call.

 Lewis begs me to meet with her I told him I can't because Miranda can't be stupid enough not to recognize me, but Lewis said I know we look alike so much, so she can't know and he also said he doesn't want to see Miranda yet that he might be shaking in front of her. 

Then I agreed to come. Lewis made a statement before I left home that; I should always watch my back. I don't know this is what he meant." Lewis's twin brother explains to the officer. 

When the officer explains to Miranda what John told them, she said Lewis as a stitch on his right hand because there was a day a knife cut him at Anita place he was taken to the clinic where his hand was stitched.

       When they check John's hand, he had no stitches. Then the officer said where can we find your twin brother? John said if we hurry we might catch up with him at home. Gabriel heard about the story and he said this to himself that the guy must be a hardened criminal...

When the cops got to John and Lewis's house one of the officers knocked at their door. Lewis was pressing his phone coming out from the inner room saying 

"Hope you are alone John?" and he opened the door. 

Immediately he cites the cops, Lewis intended to run back inside but, they point a gun at him and took him to the station. Lewis was interrogated. Officer asked him "Why did you kill Anita?" 

*Earlier*

The day he was asking Anita who she is chatting with and Miranda claim to be the one. When he left he remembers something, and turn back. He was about to enter again when he overheard Miranda and Anita's conversation.

Anita said she just wants to date the guy and collected his money, Lewis was outside the door and he was filled with anger after hearing that. Then he said to himself that after all the money I do gave her, she is still cheating on me!

Then he left the day he burnt Anita, he called her but Anita lied that she is not at home. So he told his twin brother to followed him somewhere when Lewis was about to enter Anita's room he heard that Anita was in with a man talking inside.

He went to her kitchen, took the matches, and go to where Anita kept her generator, he took the gallon that contains petrol then he went inside the bedroom to burn them.

*Present*

"But because of the guy that escape that day. It has been my reason for hiding so that cops will not arrest me." Lewis said. 

He was taken to court and sentenced to death.

His twin brother John, was so pained and said to him "I don't believe my twin can do this to me" Then he left the courtroom. The judge said; it will serve as a lesson to other people that are over jealous and selfish. 

And ladies stop being wayward not all man you should date selfishness kills Anita. After court judgment, Miranda and Gabriel apologize to each other while Gabriel also apologizes to Sonia and proposes to her.

  Miranda visit where Anita was buried with flower after dropping the flower on her grave she drove off.
