The raging highland (II)

We entered the village with werewolves surrounding us and protecting us discreetly. As we walked towards the main hall or Reed's house everyone bowed and greeted us. Reed smiled and also greeted everyone. Reed had told me to put my robe on so as to hide my identity which I was actually going to do before him telling me. 

We got to the front of his house, one of the wolves took the rail from Reed while I dismounted from the horse back. The wolf took the horse as Reed guided me inside the house. 

We entered his house and it was the warmest I have felt in between the extreme cold of the ice castle and the extreme hot surging abyss. It was the kind of warmth you get from your loved one. Reed with the brown hair man guided me to the back discussion room with table and chairs. 

He pulled a chair for me to sit. I took my place as did Reed. The brown hair stood by his side, but Reed turned and while pointing his hands towards the empty chairs he said "As the moon shines equally above all, please take a seat Rudi." 

"Yes leader." the brown hair Rudi said as he also joined us.

Reed turned to me and said "The moon has allowed him as my successor." 

"That's great," I turned to Rudi. "Nice to meet you Rudi."

"It is also a pleasure my lord, also I am very sorry about the way we treated you. If I knew you were such an important person I wouldn't have stopped you." 

"It's completely fine you were just following the werewolf creed." 

"Thank you for your understanding my lord."

I nodded and returned my gaze to Reed who had radish hair and moon color eyes. He looked young compared to his mature and philosophical speech. He gave the aura of a young leader which he is. He is known as the youngest wolf pack leader. And their wolf pack was known as The Moonstone Keepers as they are the only ones who know where to find the precious moonstone. But that too was also narrowed down to the pack leader and his successor. 

"So I hope you read the letter before I arrive." 

"Yes my lord and as the moon had informed me, I can get the moonstone you want in a week at most."

"That's good to hear." a smile relieved on my face.

"Mo-moonstone. You are going to that place." Rudi said in a concerned and hesitant manner.

"Yes he has to Rudi. Only Reed can get it and I hope you know why."

"B-but-" 

"Rudi as the leader, the pack and blesserer of the moon, we must not run or fear our duties. And as the moon has wished that we follow my lord through the unification of these lands." Reed said seriously. 

"Yes leader." Rudi replied with great pride.

"Reed bring the moon stone in the capital city of Avala in district 5 store 2."

"As you wish my lord."

"Oh and if somehow Jasper comes here just say what I had informed you to do. He will get an idea of what I am doing."

"But my lord, I thought you were doing all this in secrecy." 

"Oh he probably already has a guess. I just need time to settle into a new plan that I have revised." 

Reed nodded and said "Till the time for your next departure please rest for sometime. Rudi shows this esteemed guest his room." 

"Yes leader."

I got up with the other two and we walked out the room. Reed did a little bow and left us going to the right hallway while Rudi led me towards the left hallway and at the end of it was a room with double doors. He opened it and let me in. 

"This will be your room Sir, if you need anything please ask or call for me."

"Alright."

He bowed and left me in the room to rest. I look around the room. It was very ordinary and like any basic room. It had a bed along the window and two sets of waldrop. There was one more door, probably the bathroom. It was light and airy with the forest visible through the window. It was truly a room where we could rest. 

I walked to the bed and put my whole tired body on it and when I opened my eyes and saw the sun's golden hue through the window, I got to know it was sunset. I had slept without even knowing. I got up and stretched a little. 

I walked towards the window and looked out. I could see the village from here as the house was a little elevated from the main village. 

"hey get him well."

"oh no way he can win."

There were sounds coming from the border of the village near this house. "ohhh werewolf dominance battle. I always liked watching it." I say to myself.

Debating over for a minute I put some strength in my arms and used the railing to jump down. 

I broke my fall and started walking to the battle arena. The arena came into view, Rudi was also present there. Monitoring the young was also a job of the successor. "Rudi! who's winning?" I asked as I saw two wolves fighting with their claws out, with half beast transformation. 

Rudi turned and replied "Brenden for now but everyone's bet is on Necole."

"Hmmmm...."

"Reed was always ready to spar with me and always ready to have a one on one discussion about our history with Sky." I reminiscent about old times which were just five or six years ago. 

"Well our leader is special in his own way haha." Rudi chuckled. 

As we continued making small talk I felt something fluctuate. I shifted my gaze with Rudi also noticing the abnormality.

"Necole stop.!"

"Hey man calm down...!!"

Necole was moving very abnormally, while everyone was trying to calm him he was scratching his own head with his claws very furiously digging his turquoise hair out and shouting like a huge howl.

"Wolf rise." I whisper to myself.

"Necole!!" Rudi shouted but I already moved my way to him and put my hands on Necole.

"My lord." Rudi was coming to interrupt me but he was stopped by Reed. "don't disturb him, he is also the moon's blesser."

I closed my eyes and told Necole "Just follow my lead. The moon has blessed you so don't be afraid. Life is about more than just surviving. So just trust me and accept my power."
