Birthday

It was early morning, I couldn't sleep because of what happened yesterday. I couldn't understand what happened.

'Well, I will think about it later, for now, It's my birthday.'

I walked into the kitchen hoping to see my mom but she wasn't there and neither was dad. I saw them walking to the kitchen.

'Huh? Where is everybody? Oh! are they going to surprise me? I can't wait.'

Me and my uncle used to celebrate my birthdays alone because it would be a lot of work for just the two of us. My sister (uncle's daughter ) was just 2 years old so my aunt had to take care of her, also I didn't had many friends and some friends that I had, lived far from my uncle's house. My uncle used to just buy 4 small pastries and that was it. After I left my uncle's house I didn't celebrate my 14th birthday because I lived far from my uncle's house so they couldn't come and friends were out of the question.

'What can I do now?' I thought. Suddenly the front door of the gate opened.

"Oh you are already awake? Are you hungry?" It was my mom and dad. She was carrying two bags full of stuff and dad was carrying three wooden boxes.

"Let me make something for you." Mom said as she went into the kitchen, humming.

I was 1 year old so I could also eat normal food except meat, because my mom wouldn't let me, but truth be told I was not going to keep drinking breast milk. Even though I look like a child, I am 14 year old inside.. or 15 year old now.

"Artz, why don't you play with me until your mother cooks some food for us." said my dad after putting the boxes in a corner.

He picked me up and slowly started spinning me around.

'I get that you want to play with me but I am 15 years old on the inside I don't think such- Woah, this is fun.' I thought.

This was very entertaining to me. I didn't know why, maybe because my body is still that of a baby.

After my dad saw me smiling, he also started to smile, we played for sometime and then my mom called us "Food is ready, dear."

"We are coming." my dad said as a smile can be seen on his face. "Let's go, Artz."

We ate our food and father went for his guarding duty and my mom started to teach me words from the book again.

'Today I will get the magic one. I can't wait.' I thought.

Soon the whole day passed but today my mom started to make food very early and in a much more quantity. She also brought out more wooden chairs and put them beside the table.

I was hoping to see balloons but they weren't even created. After about an hour a large crowd entered my house with my dad being one of them. Most of them were people I knew, they were people who were in the father's guarding team, neighbours, and even Mr.Gabriel was here. They celebrated, well I was in my mom's hands the whole time. Everyone was eating and laughing, many women were asking my mom questions like "What ingredients did you use in the meat?" "How are you so good at cooking?" and "How do you still look young". Well she answered most of them except the last one, she just laughed at the last one.

"Ok everyone." My dad said as he stood up from the chair. " Time for the main fun to start."

Every man started cheering, even Mr.Gabriel was cheering, while women were having different faces. My dad went to the side of the room into the kitchen, and brought one of the boxes.

'Oh so that's why only men were cheering'

It was alcohol ofcourse men will be cheering.

After men started drinking many women said goodbye to my mom because they had work to do. And I thought it wouldn't take them that much time to drink a couple of bottles, right ? but boy I couldn't be further from the truth. It took them so much time. If I were to put them in our world time then they must have drank till 3 in the morning!

After the party was over my dad said good bye to others and the guests left. It was already late, so we also went to sleep, yes I was also awake in my room while they were drinking. I couldn't sleep between the laughs and my mom saying them to quite down because she thought I was sleeping.

Well after they left I finally slept like a baby, no pun intended.

I am just writing this for fun and I don't know how long I will be posting chapters. So don't get mad when I suddenly stop, also you can write some encouraging words in the comments to make me upload more chapters *wink wink*. Well anyway hope you guys will enjoy the story.
