Chapter 5: A Pledge to God

  In his final letter to himself, Jacques touched on faith. He had found solace in religion, a guiding light in the darkness of his uncertain path. "And if you see this," he wrote, "remember to respond to how you feel. If you're the same, change. Remember, God is here. Do what you want." As he concluded his letter, Jacques made a promise to himself—to live authentically, to rediscover his passions, and to find his way back to the person he had once been. And as he closed the laptop, he couldn't help but hope that one day, he might find the courage to reach out to Hayzal and tell her how he truly felt.
