A False Hope

A mist so bright all are blind to it.

A road commonly traveled

Though many abandon the lit

Trying to cross the dark end sides.

Across each of these paths, only a few

make it through. The heroes of the story, fighting to live for a longer ever after,

not even the winners last long being separated from this road.

A pulsing, pushing, the problem lies beneath

the layer we all have. Pain, scraps, scars,

all sit on top of the layer. Never a day,

never a moment, do they disappear.

But yet this road we take, ominous and

hiding, cover us, let us be safe.

All till the fag fades and the light returns.
