Episode 3 - We Meeting Again (8)

As you can see that Vanessa's balcony door is locked. She doesn't have the key to open it from the outside. The keys are on the shelf next to her bed. If she breaks the glass of the window, the guard will find out. Because she came here quietly and don't want to make a fuss.

She thinks of a plan. There is one magic that can help her, "Alright."

Vanessa takes one step back. Her mind is focused on magic spells. She opened one of the shelves. A key flew and was put into the keyhole. Rotate it slowly. "I did it!"

The balcony door opened, she immediately leaned back on the bed to stretch her muscles. Lying in bed makes it comfortable.

"That black shadow comes after I touch a sword or dagger."

I don't need to be afraid. I just need to fight the fear inside of me and fight them all. What has actually happened to me? A trauma? You can't be serious!

"Yeah...That can't be."

Vanessa took a glass of water to drink. Incidentally, on the table, there was a thick book. That thick book fell to the floor. One book is caught her attention. She's never seen this book before. "What? Is this from Varest?"

She just remembered that Varest once sleep in her room and spend time there. The possibility of the owner of the book is him. But strange, if this book belongs to Varest. Why does he have a book like this?

"Haa..." She took a deep breath and read it slowly. "This book doesn't belong to anyone." She with guessing face. "It belongs to my father?"

Vanessa couldn't believe what she read. "It is our family information."

Haha, I cannot understand why my father makes a such book. The contents of the book are not much. Still a lot of blank pages. "...Let's see."

She's interested in reading information about the Grand Duke's family. The first chapter explains everything about her Father, the owner of the house. The second chapter is about her mother, the Grand Duchess And the last chapter is about her brother, the first son Of the Grand Duke.

There is not something amazing in here. Only a piece of ordinary information or data is not important. Vanessa who's not curious anymore finally puts the book down to where is supposed to be. "The Grand Duke's personal office." She explained.

Vanessa decided to return his book. Her step-by-step in a big hallway. The servants and the knights give a bow, give their greetings to her.

"Yes...Thank you."

She holds the door handle and then opens it. The Grand Duke's personal office is the front of her eyes. A curtain-covered window makes the whole room dark. Vanessa laid his book on top of his desk. Without further ado, she immediately goes from that place

"Hm..."

That book is make me curious but I don't know what it is. Something not right will soon happen.

"Miss Vanessa!" A servant ran to her. "A royal carriage...a royal carriage is coming on their way."

"...What?"

A royal carriage belongs to the members of the royal family. Vanessa was certainly surprised. She even ran rapidly to the main door. The horse carriage has come to this mansion then stopped. There's no courier on the horse carriage. But someone comes out from there.

Vanessa's heart was beating fast after seeing the person. She thought the person who came here was someone else. It turns out that only a man, black-haired, red-eyed who once lived here.

"Basil?"

"Hello, Vanessa."

Thank goodness is not the other members of the royal family. Basil ran and then hugged me tightly. He stroked my hair gently, "Sorry to keep you waiting."

In his arms, it was set with the sun shining bright in the sky. Basil looked at my face. His red eyes stared into my red eyes of mine. My feelings became weird because of him. My cousin, but his treatment of me is different and excessive.

"Sir Basil?" Varest suddenly shows up. Vanessa immediately keeps a distance from Basil.

"Varest, it's been a while!"

"I'm just surprised, you idiot!"

Basil laughed to hear the answer. Vanessa felt ashamed with her blushed face. Then she go inside the Grand Duke's mansion and asked the servant to tell the head chef. Today we have an important guest.

"Come on. Let's go inside." She said.

Basil entered first and then Varest followed him from behind. At that time, Basil explains what happens during his battle.

"I came back here also because of the command from my father. He didn't want bad things to happen to you."

Uncle Sam, the Crown Prince of the Vampire Empire. He is indeed the one my uncle who is too overprotective.

"Hm, I don't open the door for guests except for a few people. How dare you come here without a word." Vanessa hit him.

"I wanted to make a surprise. At least you're happy, haha."

Varest who watching the two of them talking. He stopped his steps. The look in his eyes did not stop seeing Basil. What is he thinking right now?

"Miss Vanessa, There's something I want to say."

Vanessa turned around and asked. "What is it, Young Man?"

"Is about us, Young Lady."

Varest serious face makes Basil take one step back, giving them both some space. Basil thought that this was a conversation that he could not interfere with. He doesn't want to intrude,

"I'm tired because of the long trip. Then I go to my room first. I'll see you later." He ran away from them.

I looked at Varest's black eyes. Why is he so serious? "What are you going to say, Young Man?"
