CHAPTER 12

JIN POV

All DVX members are sitting on the living room sofa. Our three managers are standing behind us. We are all speechless and surprised as Mr. Gun introduces a new female staff.

"Boys this is Yura, you're new assistant manager. I decided to hire her dahil alam kong kulang na ang tatlong managers sa dami ng mga schedules niyo. "

"Hi!" she sweetly smiled and waved. We all look at her from head to toe. A fair and smooth-skinned good looking woman with an obvious attractive body figure despite wearing loose shirt. What's going on with Mr. Gun? He wouldn't even hire a beautiful stylist or makeup artist. Pero bakit ngayon ay meron kaming ganito kagandang manager?

"Ako si Yura. I'm 32 years old so you can all call me Ate Yura. Nice to meet you all guys. I'm a hardworking person. Pangako ko, hindi kayo madidisappoint sa akin."

Tumayo si RJ at yumukod. "Nice to meet you. I'm RJ."

Isa-isa ng tumayo at nagpakilala sa kanya.

"I'm Jin. Welcome to Fyne."

"Hi Jin! Thank you," ngiti niya. Even her teeth are perfect. Isa-isa niyang sinipat ang aming mukha. "Alam kong maraming beses niyo na itong narinig pero sasabihin ko pa rin. Grabe ang gugwapo niyong lahat!" Pinaypayan niya ng kamay ang namumulang pisngi.

"Sila naman ang mga managers," turo ni Mr. Gun. "Si Eric, Junu at Bong."

"Hi! Please teach me the job. Don't worry, mabilis akong matuto."

Our managers' reaction are slightly unwelcoming.

"Sir, Ms. Yura is pretty. Malaki ang chance na pagselosan at gawan siya ng issue ng mga fans ng DVX," diretsong sabi ni Manager Eric. We are all thinking the same.

Mabilis na itinaas ni Ms. Yura ang kanyang kanang kamay at itinuro ang singsing sa daliri. "May asawa na ako."

"Kahit na, and considering you also look younger than your age baka pagdudahan ka lang na girlfriend ng isa sa mga miyembro," sabi naman ni Manager Junu. "Ang nagseselos na fan ay kayang gumawa ng malaking istorya mula sa isang napakaliit na bagay. Baka ikaw pa ang maging dahilan ng scandal."

Ms. Yura softly laughed. "Hindi ko alam kung magwo-worry ako or mapapa-flatter. You're both saying statements with negative implication by complementing me. Although I'm not really that beautiful but if my above average face is the problem, don't worry I'll always wear mask outside."

The sharpness of her answer and the authoritative tone easily caught my attention.

"Paano naman ang katawan mo?" salita ni Bong.

"May issue din sa katawan ko?" nanlalaki ang mga mata na natatawang tanong ni Ms. Yura.

"You have a nice figure," diretsong sabi ni James na iminumwestra pa ng kamay ang hugis ng katawan.

She looked in another direction and I caught her secretly pursing her lips.

"Don't get us wrong Yura. We're not sexually harassing you. We're just stating the reality in this entertainment business." It's a bit odd that Fyne Entertainment CEO is humbly explaining to a newly hired assistant manager.

She sighed then smiled widely. " Naiintindihan ko sir. Magsusuot na lang din ako ng makakapal na jacket at maluluwang na damit pag nasa labas."

"Ayun naman pala eh!" Mr. Gun exclaimed. Parang tuwang-tuwa siya sa suggestion ni Ms. Yura "Paano kayo na ang bahala diyan kay Yura at marami pa akong appointment, turuan niyong mabuti ha."

"Yes sir," halatang napipilitang sagot pa rin ni Manager Junu.

"Ate Yura," Kookie said. "We'll go to our room now. Magbabawi lang kami ng tulog."

"Okay sige, thank you for welcoming me," she happily replied.

Nagpaiwan kami ni RJ to observe more. I'm still not comfortable to the idea na may madalas na kaming makakasamang babae sa dorm. I can still feel oddness in the situation. I've never seen her in the industry since we debuted. Why Mr. Gun trusted her so easily? Kung kukuha din lang pala siya ng babaeng assistant manager, why not those other staff na matagal na naming kilala at komportable na kami. Paano kung isa pala siyang obssessed fan na nagpapanggap lamang?
