Chapter 2

On a beautiful morning with a girl still sleeping in her sleep looking so elegant like a princess, the faint sound of a very melodious bird chirping coupled with the cool morning atmosphere made the girl even more reluctant to open her eyes. With his courage, the sun began to show its rays and entered the girl's room through the window slits along with a gust of wind which then woke the girl from her beautiful dream. The beautiful girl finally opened her beautiful and slender eyes, and yes, it was Anna. The beautiful girl yawned while covering her mouth as she got out of bed, then glanced at the clock on her desk which showed 6 am. The girl quickly went to the bathroom and started her morning. After she finished bathing in a bathrobe, she immediately tidied her bed and started moving towards her wardrobe. She also chose a plain casual dress in light blue, it looks so simple and fits her body. She walked over to her dressing table and immediately applied some powder to her cheeks and started brushing her lips with peach-colored lip gloss, which made her look more radiant, and she didn't forget to tie her long hair and smooth out a little bangs.

"Perfect!" said Anna, who was looking at my reflection in the mirror. After she felt her makeup was quite good, she immediately took her laptop and bag and went downstairs to have breakfast together.

"Good morning," said Anna excitedly.

"Morning too honey," her father replied while kissing Anna's cheek.

"Morning too sweaty," Mom said as she spread bread for Anna.

"Morning too, Anna is ugly," said Jessica and Bella at the same time.

"You! What are you doing here?" Anna asked, surprised.

"Want to ride breakfast he-he," Jessica answered as she lifted her spoon.

"I'd like to invite you to go together," Bella explained, and Anna could only cheer up in response to her explanation.

They began to eat their breakfast interspersed with some stories about the party last night. After breakfast they also said goodbye to Anna's parents to go to campus.

"You have to be careful on the way," Anna's mother said.

"Okay Mom," replied Anna.

"Yes, auntie, for sure," Bella and Jessica said.

"Thank you for breakfast, auntie. Sorry for the two of us to bother," Bella said politely.

"I'm not bothering you at all, Bell. I'm actually glad you two joined in for breakfast. It's more crowded," Anna's mother replied to Bella with a smile.

"Well then, Anna left first, ma'am," Anna said, kissing her mother's cheek.

After that, they immediately entered a red car parked in his yard.

After about 40 minutes, we finally arrived at the university where they studied. The six of us chose the same major, namely international business administration. Where we really like the business field and aspire to be a young entrepreneur.

After arriving at the location, Anna parked her car right in the student parking area and not long after that, she heard the sound of a motorbike from behind. It turned out to be Darren, Nathan and Kevin. The three of them share the same taste, preferring to ride a motorcycle to a car.

"Hey, there's a baby!" Jessica said, spoiled as she jogged to Nathan and immediately hugged him.

"Oh my gosh! My morning was tarnished by seeing you," I said dramatically as I covered my eyes with my hands.

"Are you jealous? I'm also jealous," Kevin replied, wiping his dry tears.

"It's really dramatic you guys," Darren said while rubbing Anna's and Kevin's faces together.

"Darren, what are you doing? Broke my bangs," Anna scolded as she straightened her bangs.

"Well, it's normal that the lips are very advanced," said Darren, laughing.

"I'm still pouting Darren, that's why my lips are pouting. Maybe I'm pouting, but I'm smiling," answered Anna, annoyed.

"Stop fighting, it's still early, let's go to class now!" asked Bella.

They walked towards the classroom where, along the corridor, almost all the students turned their heads towards them. You could say the six of them are quite famous here. Not only from their intelligence and beautiful faces, but each of them has their own talent.

For example, Jessica, besides being cute and beautiful, is very good at art and painting. Then Bella is very graceful and smart at foreign languages, Darren, besides being handsome, is also great at playing musical instruments and vocals, while Nathan is good at martial arts such as karate, and Kevin, besides being humorous, he is very smart at cooking or culinary and adventure, while Anna is more into vocals and fashion. When they got to class, they immediately sat down in their respective chairs until finally the lecturer arrived with a laptop and also a book in his hand and the lesson began very solemnly until it was finished.

The first lesson was over, in which the six of them immediately went to the cafeteria, but just as they stepped foot, suddenly Anna's cell phone vibrated.

"Hello Mom, what happened?" Anna asked someone on the other side.

"...."

"What!!!" Anna screamed with tears flowing just like that.

"Okay Mom, I'm going there now!" Anna said as she turned off the phone. Anna was silent for a while because she was still in shock.

"What's wrong, Anna?" they asked in turn.

"I have to go to the hospital as soon as possible, will you please allow me later?" Anna asked them.

"What's wrong Anna? Who's sick?" Bella asked curiously.

"I can't tell you now because I'm in a hurry, Bell," Anna explained to them.

Anna was leaving, but a hand held hers. Anna suddenly looked up and found Darren there.

"You're in a hurry, aren't you? I'll take you on a motorbike, so it's fast. At this hour the road must be very jammed," Darren explained to Anna.

"Okay! Jess, this is my car's key, you'll just take it with you," said Anna as she handed Jessica the car keys, which she immediately accepted.

"Well, Anna and I will go now! If the lecturer asks, just say we're leaving because of a sudden business problem. Remember, don't forget," said Darren as he held Anna's hand and took her to the parking lot.

When he arrived in the parking lot, Darren gave his helmet to Anna.

"Wear this!"

Anna also received the helmet and immediately put it on, until finally Darren gave his jacket to Anna.

Anna also frowned as she received Darren's jacket.

"To cover your thighs," Darren said to Anna, who was currently wearing a miniskirt.

Anna immediately boarded Darren's motorbike with the jacket he used to cover his thighs.

"Wait," Darren said curtly.

Anna immediately held the bag that Darren was wearing, then suddenly Darren's hands directed both of Anna's hands to hug her waist.

"Tell me if you want a hug!" Anna said to Darren.

"I'm driving at speed, you will fall if you don't hold on," Darren explained as he started the engine.

The motorbike started to speed up. The faster it went, the more Anna hugged Darren's waist.

"Darren, don't be too fast! I'm afraid I'm also not married, and have not made my parents happy. If you want to die, just die alone, don't take me!" Anna panicked.

"Stupid, don't worry, we won't die now! Just trust me!" Darren explained to Anna.

In less than 20 minutes, they arrived at the hospital and immediately looked for the ICU room. Outside the room, a middle-aged woman was sitting languidly with tears starting to dry.

"Mommy!" called Anna while running towards her. Her mother got up from her seat and immediately cried in Anna's arms.

"Anna! Your father Anna," her mother said, in a sobbing voice.

"What happened to Daddy?" asked Ana worriedly.

"Earlier, your Daddy suddenly had a heart attack and then passed out," his mother said in between sobs.

"B-but mom, since when did Daddy have heart disease even though he's been fine all this time, his diet is also regular," Anna asked in a trembling voice, because she still didn't expect all this.

"Actually, it's been a month, Anna," her mother said with a languid face.

"And none of you told me about this? Gosh!" said Anna, squeezing her own head.

"Sorry Anna, we just don't want to make you worry, I was afraid you'd think about it," her mother said regretfully and Darren could only comfort Anna.

The sound of the door was heard and revealed a doctor in a white coat attached to his body, who was also accompanied by several nurses.

"Doc, how is my father's condition now?" asked Anna, worried.

"Mr Williams' condition is better than before, now you can see it. But try not to be too loud for fear of disturbing the patient and panic," the doctor explained to them.

Then the doctor left, followed by several accompanying nurses, and the three of us went into the room where Mr. Williams was being treated.

Anna couldn't hold back the tears anymore and finally fell alone. Seeing her father lying weakly on the bed made Anna's mind confused and she didn't think about anything.

"Daddy," Anna called, covering her mouth with her hand because she still couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Anna, are you here, dear?" her father asked with a gentle smile.

With legs still weak, Anna walked over to him and hugged her father tightly.

"Are you all right?" asked Anna with sobs bursting into her father's arms.

"Anna, don't cry dear, I'm okay. I'm just tired," her father replied while stroking Anna's head and then kissing Anna's forehead.

"Dad, why didn't you tell me that you had a heart attack? Anna doesn't like it when you hide things from Anna," Anna said.

Her father immediately cupped Anna's face with both hands.

"Anna, I just don't want you to think about this, you have to focus on studying, so you can get good grades. Anna herself told Daddy that Anna wanted to be a successful businessman," her father explained to Anna in a soft voice.

"But Daddy, I am your daughter. How could you have the heart to hide this from your own daughter," Anna said sadly.

"Sorry dear, I promise not to hide anything anymore from you. But there are things that I want to ask of you," her father said in a hoarse voice.

"I promise if I am able, I will fulfill all your requests," answered Anna confidently while holding her father's hands tightly.

"I don't know how long it will last, I just want to hold your hand at the altar later and take you to your partner. At least later, I can calm down in nature and no longer have to worry about you, because later you will have someone who will protect you and who loves you. I hope you can fulfill my last wish, because only you are my daughter and daddy and mommy's hope," her father said with hopeful eyes, her mother immediately stroking Anna's shoulder.

"And I hope you can make it happen, honey," her mother said with teary eyes.

"But you guys know that in the past I've had a bad experience. I'm afraid mom. And I'm not ready to get married either," Anna said actually.

"We won't know what the future will be like and what kind of people we will meet. I'm just afraid that I can't protect you, dear. I'm worried about what your future will be like," her father explained.

"I know and understand what you want, of course it's the best for me, but after that incident I was never close to any boys again. I was only close to Darren, Nathan and Kevin and, even then, because we were friends. Besides them, I've never been close to anyone," Anna explained at length to her parents.

"Yeah, we know, that's why we decided to match you up. If you want, I can talk to his parents later because his parents happen to be Daddy's co-workers," her mother explained with a smile.

"What! Matchmaking? Are you kidding me? How can you have the heart to match me with a stranger," Anna said, not expecting it.

"Yes, if you don't want to, then you look for the candidate yourself. Mommy will give you one month, if, after that, you are forced to match up with our choice," her mother said firmly. Anna could only sigh.

"Well, okay, I chose my own husband. Actually, I don't like matchmaking," Anna said, looking down languidly.

"How come his face is bent like that, honey, if you mind, just say it. Daddy's okay, I don't want my last request to burden you, honey," her father said, stroking Anna's head slowly.

"No need to worry, I'm fine," Anna replied with a smile.

"It's already lunchtime, you invite Darren to find something to eat. You two must have not eaten, right," her mother said to Anna.

Anna immediately patted her forehead because she had forgotten about Darren's presence. Anna turned to the place where Darren was with a sweet smile that she showed.

"Let's find something to eat!" Anna invited Darren to go find some food.
