Reasoning & Dual Marriage

With Lei Jin's plan in motion to build a small population it was time to see what the future holds. The benefits from this plan would not come for at least a few years at the earliest and 20 years at the latest.

Lei Jin remained in the same Hall and practiced controlling his new found strength. Qing Ning went off Ling Shi to talk about the future. Zi Rong remained in the hall with Lei Jin. This was his request.

"Husband? I was curious why you wish for that artifact to be refined. Surely a 9th rank Open Heaven wouldn't need such a thing." Zi Rong asked casually.

Lei Jin raised an eyebrow wondering if he should tell her why it was needed in the first place or use the excuse he had come up with prior. "An artifact like that would have many uses. Firstly it could be used as a stop gap to contain the ink force. In this way a cultivator wouldn't struggle as much to rid themselves of such a corrupt power. However, I need it for a different reason." Lei Jin said, finally after the slightly awkward silence.

"Hmm, I know you have your reasons, Husband. But I can't help myself from being curious." Zi Rong said, still calling Lei Jin her husband before they were even married. A sign of true commitment.

"That's difficult to say since I don't know if this thing will even work." Lei Jin said, slightly anxious about being called husband again.

"If husband can tell this wife of his, perhaps the artifact will be easier to refine. Remember what the Supreme Elder said? We need to be in sync if we want it to work. So won't you tell this wife?" Zi Rong said, snuggling up to him.

The Two were floating in the air now. Lei Jin was cross-legged. Zi Rong was also floating but rested her breasts on his head and laid her arms down palms on his chest. She was going all out now. No need to hold back now that she could say she had zero issues with the arranged marriage her master Elder Mei had set up.

Lei Jin crossed hands to meet Zi Rongs. They were soft, smooth and warm. He could feel that it was only right to be like this for the moment. He remained silent and enjoyed the moment. Zi Rong just waited for Lei Jin to say the other reasons why. She would no longer force him to since she felt a sense of longing come over her. In fact it came over both of them.

After a short time passed Lei Jin finally decided to answer. "My wife, Zi Rong, You have asked me why I need this artifact. Indeed I will tell you. However, I'd like to answer something for this husband." He said, now having reached a point he could say these things.

"What is that husband wants his wife to answer? Whatever it is, she will undoubtedly do her very best." Zi Rong said, squeezing in tighter.

Lei Jin smiled softly from the squeeze. "I want to know what you think is the most important reason behind my actions with the residence servants before. Just answer what you feel is the most important reason." Lei Jin said, now having proposed the question to her.

Zi Rong took a short time to think about it. Then it turned into a slightly longer amount of time. Several hours had passed before she answered.

"Husband wishes to accomplish many things in the future. Small tests like these before were needed for the experience. Husband wants to know what will be needed to improve the population of humans in a controlled setting. In this matter Husband will be able to use similar methods in his small universe in the future." Zi Rong said, with mild confidence.

"You're mostly right. However there is more than that to my reasoning. I would like to use these methods everywhere. Make life more affluent and abundant. The issues that come out of this will be easy to spot and come up with solutions. Now, how am I supposed to do that without my own small universe?" Lei Jin said, both confirming and reinforcing Zi Rong's thoughts.

"So Husband wants to have the artifact to help simulate the Open Heaven realm's Small Universe. Why not wait until you reach Open Heaven? Husband is going to be a 9th rank direct promote. Surely you won't have a need for such a thing." Zi Rong said, while also trying to pry out the other reason. She wasn't going to but now that she heard his current reasoning she couldn't help but be curious.

Lei Jin had to say this reasoning again. It made him slightly upset that the Supreme Elder had put such a restriction but nevertheless he would follow it so the others wouldn't try to suppress him in vain.

"The Supreme Elder put some limitations on my promotion. So on top of the rarity of such precious resources even here in the 3000 Worlds. I also must have sufficient anchors or tethers to sanity. That is why the Supreme Elder is so adamant about having this one marry many women. Even going as far as to hand over such fairies as Qing Ning, yourself and Ling Shi. As such It will likely take quite a while before this happens. It would be for the best if had the ability to use such strength without rising to the Open Heaven Realm." Lei Jin said in a lengthy explanation.

"I see, Husband wants to get around this limitation and have the chance to continue experiments." Zi Rong said, massaging his chest lightly with her fingers. "Husband should call it the Sudo-Open Heaven Realm. Tehe…" she continued in excitement.

The Idea was now far more exciting of a prospect than it was before. If it worked Lei Jin would be able to use this artifact as if it were a small universe. This would be a great benefit for Lei Jin in the short term. However, It wasn't just that simple the benefits in the long term could even reach untold measures.

Time continued flowing on and the Supreme Elder had arrived with Elder Mei, and Elder Kong. It seemed to Lei Jin that they wanted to seal the marriage proposals. Everyone was sitting in the Meeting Hall for a half a cup of tea and silence. The remaining half cup of tea was to calm any nerves from getting too difficult to deal with.

"Disciple Lei Jin, I heard you're ready to sign a marriage contract with my Zi Rong. Is this true?" Elder Mei asked directly. Ignoring the fact there was clearly something else she could ask about now.

"Elder Mei has not heard falsehood. I am indeed ready for such things. Sister Zi Rong has won a place in my heart and at my side. As well as My first wife's approval." Lei Jin said, taking a sip of tea.

"Oh my! She's done that much in only 2 months time? How did you do it my dear disciple?" Elder Mei said, exasperated at the speed.

"I believe I should correct your view, Elder Mei. As to not insult your own disciple with such words. Sister Zi Rong has accomplished this in only 3 days time." Lei Jin said, quickly.

"What? Then what about the 2 months that have passed. What were you doing during that time?" Elder Mei asked.

"Elder Mei, my Husband and I only came out of seclusion 3 days ago. We practiced for those two months with passionate diligence." Qing Ning answered Elder Mei's question.

"This is true. I stayed and comforted my new husband for only 3 days. But I wouldn't want to lose him at all. Master Mei, please allow us to sign the marriage contract." Zi Rong said, pleading with her master.

Lei Jin stood up and presented himself in front of Elder Mei bowing respectfully. "Elder Mei, I will sign the contract now with no regrets. Allow me to take Zi Rong into my family." He said while presenting himself.

"You're quite an interesting young man. Verywell, just remember you better treat her well. A master's disciples are like parents' children. No parent wishes for their child to be treated poorly. Naturally this is the same thoughts we as masters have. Here is the contract." Elder Mei said, making sure Lei Jin understood the gravity of taking in a wife.

It wasn't that Lei Jin didn't understand it. No, he was already lucky enough to have one wife. He naturally knew this was not a small matter that could be looked over casually. As such when signing the contract he made sure to give it a similar type of effect as before. The light fluctuated as if a heart was beating. Then came the all involved parties to verify this matter. Which hadn't taken long before the contract landed in the possession of the Supreme elder once again.

"Good, it seems like you're making progress Lei Jin. Your master would be proud of you." The Supreme Elder said putting the contract inside her small universe for safe keeping.

"The Supreme Elder honors me with such words. I don't deserve them. These words should be directed towards my wives and those who will fill the empty spots by my side." Lei Jin said, pulling out a few scrolls.

"I shouldn't have been so worried about your marriage to my disciple. Now what is that you've pulled out from the ring." Elder Mei said, raising her brow when he had done this.

"Elder Kong, this scroll is for you and contains some things I'd like your opinion on." Lei Jin said, guiding the first scroll over to him.

"Elder Mei, Mother in law, this scroll is for you, and it contains various things my wife Zi Rong had proposed in the creation of a certain artifact. As well as absolute needs for the artifact. I hope the Elder can help to narrow down the required resources to avoid any problems of overspending or waste. You need not refine the artifact yourself." Lei Jin said, floating a scroll over to Elder Mei.

"Elder Hong, father in law, this one's for you. There isn't anything special in there but I do hope I can count on your assistance for the matters contained therein. Finally for the Supreme Elder. I'd like it if I could have your cooperation on the matters with the three Elders." Lei Jin said, floating a scroll to Elder Hong and three to the Supreme Elder.

"Hmmm…." They all said looking at the information in the scrolls.

"I see you're handing these off because you suspect you'll be busy for some time. Though you only have 3 months left until the tournament and you'll need to leave in two months. I don't think there will be enough time for two more marriages and partnered cultivation before then." The Supreme Elder said, frankly.

"Then that would cause some issues. Sister Ling Shi would fall behind in position given the whole reason the Supreme Elder wishes for this disciple to compete in that farce." Lei Jin said, thinking to himself.

This was something he saw coming from a mile away. His wife Qing Ning had also picked this up and was why she was trying to get Long Shi to talk about certain matters. Zi Rong had also been informed of this matter by Leo Jin during the three days. So she had resolved herself to this.

"I can't accept this. If it takes you 2 months to get acquainted it will take too long." Elder Kong said, a little upset. He wasn't about to just settle for getting fourth place when they were third by a mile.

"Then how about this, if all agree we make an exception and have Ling Shi marry today alongside Zi Rong." The Supreme elder said.

"The Supreme Elder is wise. Though, it does seem a bit unfair. To both of them." Elder Hong said, also pondering this issue.

"Wife Zi Rong and Sister Ling Shi. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this matter. Remember this Husband will satisfy your wishes. Regardless of what the outcome may be." Lei Jin said, with a bustling confidence that couldn't help but overwhelm the random thoughts of the others.

"Sister Ling Shi and I came here at the same time. I have no issues with sharing my marriage day with Sister Ling Shi." Zi Rong said.

"Sister Zi Rong is generous! I have no issues with such an arrangement. I am willing to share my marriage day with Sister Zi Rong." Ling Shi said.

"Now the approval of the Elders is all that is needed." The Supreme Elder said, moving this along.

"Elder Kong, you owe me for this. I'll agree." Elder Mei said, turning back to her disciple. "Zi Rong, don't regret this later on." She said, simply.

"I won't regret this Master." Zi Rong said, respectfully.

"Thank you Elder Mei for allowing this!" Ling Shi said respectfully.

"Perhaps Elder Mei can come by and we can discuss this favor I owe later." Elder Kong said, hopefully.

"In any case. Elder Kong, I Lei Jin will take Ling Shi into my family. As a wife at my side, she will undoubtedly be taken good care of." Lei Jin said, bowing before Elder Kong.

"Good. Youngman take good care of my disciple!" Elder Kong said handing over the Marriage Contract for Lei Jin to sign directly.

Lei Jin signed and had it resonate with the energy inside so it would beat like a heart. Or flicker like a flame in a light breeze. "I thank the Elders for their willingness to adapt. If there is nothing else this Disciple will take his leave." He said.

"Good, now go make good on your promises Young man." The Supreme Elder said, giving him and his two new wives permission to leave.
