Ash's New Goal

Editor: Phema2241

Since the electric field was gone and Ash sent out Typhlosion, Gary decided to use his first Pokémon Blastoise who came out of his poke ball blasting water out of his cannons as he looked at his opponent and smirked because he knew it was going to be an easy win.

Ash knew that Typhlosion would not be able to beat Blastoise, so he quickly returned him and brought out Noctowl, the Flying type of Pokémon.

This didn't matter to Gary as he thought, 'Blastoise can still defeat him in little to no time. It seems like this match is over.'

As the match started, Gary immediately ordered Blastoise to use Ice Beam while Ash told Noctowl to dodge because that was his weakness. Noctowl was able to dodge but the icy air had slowed him down causing his speed to go down. Blastoise did not stop there, and he used Rapid Spin as his arms, legs and head went into his shell and he started to rotate at high speeds.

Gary then ordered him to use Ice Beam once again as he shot ice while at the same time spinning. Noctowl was having a hard time dodging all this and he could not use any of his Hypnosis attacks since Blastoise was hiding in his shell. He could only fly around and used a few Wind Attacks but that did not stop Blastoise and after a few minutes Noctowl was frozen solid with the whole stage as cold as ice.

Ash could only smile as he said, "I guess you have got me this time Gary." Gary was happy about this as he was finally getting revenge for being defeated. Ash had embarrassed him last time but now he was getting his revenge. The only person he needed to defeat after this was Liam, the strongest trainer in their generation.

Gary always wanted to be the strongest and he worked hard the past year for that, and Ash was not going to stand in his way.

Ash returned Noctowl and sent out his last Pokémon Typhlosion. As soon as he came out, he noticed the cold around the stage and wondered what happened, but he did not like the cold, so he immediately burned away all the ice on the stage using Flamethrower. The place started to get hot and Blastoise was annoyed by this as he likes the cold. So, he too quickly shot out a Hydro Pump towards Typhlosion.

Typhlosion dodged the incoming water attack and started spinning towards Blastoise in a fiery path. Blastoise also started spinning as water surrounded him. They both crashed into each other going full speed at each other. After a few minutes of clashing, they both were getting tired, but Typhlosion was getting hurt the most since the water was now starting to affect his fire.

Steam was coming from Typhlosion as he was wheezing for breath. Blastoise was a little bit tired but he still had some fight in him after all he was a higher level than Typhlosion so there was no way he was going to lose to him. He sent out another Hydro Pump and Typhlosion dodged it by the hair and sent out a Flamethrower.

Blastoise charged through the Flamethrower and grabbed Typhlosion by the mouth and slammed him in the ground, his cannons aimed at him and blasted him up front with a powerful Hydro Pump from his cannons as Typhlosion drowned in the water. Ash quickly returned him before he could do any more damage giving Gary the win as the whole crowd went crazy.

Ash was calm about this as he knew Gary had a big advantage, but he did not want to point that out and he thought he needed to catch his own Legendary Pokémon to show them that he too was in this game.

Having a Legendary Pokémon was a game changer and Ash could tell as it had defeated three of his Pokémon. 'If Gary did not have that Pokémon, he definitely would have lost' that was the thought going through Ash's mind.

Ash went to shake Gary's hand and thank him for the match. Gary looked at Ash seriously and said, "You're strong. I can't wait to face you when you have also obtained this great power." Ash nodded and walked away. He now had a goal and that was to catch a Legendary Pokémon. It seemed like Legendary Pokémon would be in danger now that trainers wanted to catch them to level up, but they did not know how hard that would be and how lucky the others got to get one on their team.
