Darkness
It was all filled with darkness—my mind, my thoughts, and even my body. I couldn't see anything, my eyes were a faint glow in the dark space. I began questioning where I was, trying to move my body around the solid floor.
It felt thick, the air was thicker than normal and it was hard to breathe. I couldn't adapt quickly, and soon, my body gave up as it fell to the ground in full force. Dust was lifted and wrapped my entire body in its choking embrace.
'What's this? Where am I?' It all felt too familiar. Its familiarity was frightening. I pushed my thoughts to the limits trying to remember as aches traversed throughout my skull.
'This pain... that bottle, wait...' It came flying together; my thoughts were rebuilding themselves, paving the way for a more mind-blowing remembrance, 'Beast Taming? What's that?' I looked forward, the familiar systematic panel making itself visible to me.
A progress bar with a percentage '69%' presented itself to me.

[Materializing: 69%

Indeed, it was an odd number, but what was most baffling was its title. Beast Taming? Materializing? What was the system possibly doing, and what was it particularly materializing?
I mustered up my strength, lifting my heavy body from the firm floor and I approached the panel. I stared into it, my thoughts fixated on its possible meaning.
'What was that bottle for and how did I appear here?'
As I thought to myself, shrouded in uncertainty, a familiar chime echoed in the space, immediately catching my diverted attention.
The progress bar was now full but a distasteful stretch of silence rolled in. I waited for a considerable amount of time to see any changes that would occur.
As I stared into the panel, touching it and trying to interact with it, a faint glimmer of light emerged in the distance. It was eye-catching yet soft enough to be easily dismissed. I left the panel before me and gradually walked to the area.
In the entire dark space, only two things shone; the panel and the soft light in the distance. Although the light was far, incredibly hard to follow, and getting weaker, I pushed myself to my limits and walked to its source regardless of the aches I was experiencing.
'I hope this is worth the risk,' I muttered, slowly catching up to the faint source of limitation. In an instant, the light ceased, leaving me shocked.
I felt disheartened, even discouraged. The sadness was overwhelming. I had expected to gain a new ability or perhaps, see something interesting at least. As I wallowed in despair, I suddenly fell to my knees overwhelmed by my body's weakness.
I didn't recall being this weak but a single thought crossed my mind. It was oddly similar to the realm in the dome. It was dark, dusty and something else changed—in this case, it was my weight.
I slowly shifted my eyes, trying to return to the panel as fear gripped me, the fear of not returning to the normal world. As my head twisted, a faint red flame emerged, leaving me in awe at its beauty.
I made an abrupt turn, focusing solely on the bright light as I awaited the emergence of something foreign. A long tail materialized, scales formed and lastly, a mouth filled with fire presented itself.
Although the figure was mostly covered by the blinding flame, I could still discern what it was. According to the ancient novels and mythical and magical movies I had watched, it closely resembled an ancient dragon.
Of course, this one was incredibly smaller and its fierceness paled in comparison. But, regardless of its size, I leaped in joy. I was unsure whether it was an actual Dragon but mere thoughts brought me into a world of happiness, overwhelmed by joy.
I reached out to it, although cautious, but was immediately stunned by the heat of the burning flames. I had expected a little surge of heat but what I was experiencing greatly exceeded my expectations for something that created such a faint glow.
'Is this it? Am I finally going to get a Dragon? Just wait till I flex on everyone,' I stated in excitement trying to hold my composure.
Eventually, my excitement welled up to a single burst of action—I reached out to the baby Dragon, and surprisingly, it wore a cute face. Round big eyes, tiny scales, a short tale, basically everything I had wanted from a pet.
Immediately I made contact with the little creature, the panel appeared before me, holding valuable information and accompanied by a decisive move.

The panel gradually extended and a large field appeared. I had no idea what half of the characteristics of the Dragon meant, but I still found joy in setting my eyes on them.
My hands shook as I extended them to the panel, the Dragon lying on my shoulder vibrant and full of energy.
'Now what should I name you?' I asked the Dragon in a calm tone. It looked at me, its big round eyes sparking an unusual emotion within me—love. I chuckled slightly and returned my vision to the panel still contemplating on what name I would give the beast.
It was my first beast, and conveniently, it was a Dragon so I planned on choosing a cool and eye-catching name for the pet.
'Ace? No, it doesn't suit him. Levi maybe? No, it needs to be a Dragon's name.' I looked back at the Dragon, puzzled at what to name him.
The atmosphere hadn't gotten thinner, and it was still tasking to breathe. My body was continuously getting weaker and the light of the Dragon had completely faded, leaving only the panel as the only source of light in the dark space.
I rubbed my chin as I slowly walked around, thinking of a cool but suitable name for the cute creature I had tamed. Then, an idea struck me.
I approached the panel in excitement, ready to enter the name I had chosen for the Dragon.
'I'll name him...'
