Leave the Monster alone

Mark's life changed the day someone broke into his clinic to tell him that he had been a character of a video game all along and what he had known till now had been a code decided by the game's system. When he was supposed to die though, an external interference broke the code and he was no longer part of the system. Now as the only external influence inside the code, his existence was an enigma on its own. And his fate was to turn into a monster when the humanity continued to betray him at every corner of the world. 'His nature was gentle and loving to the point of putting himself in danger for those he loved. But betrayal laid everywhere in his new world and he should get used to being used' My twitter: https://twitter.com/ojasvisharma6 Support me on Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/daygonyuuki (cover is not mine, I like it but if the maker wants it gone, they can tell me and I'll change)

The forms of worry

Rika did not think much of being left behind at the base. However, when Mark decided to take Alan with him instead of Kuro, it raised several questions inside her head.

But she had accepted it as she had everything else. She was not sure if that was in her nature or something else that compelled her not to ask. Every time she made up her mind about it, something in her head compelled her not to ask more than she could chew.

'Don't get too close. It's not safe for you' and she had to listen to it over and over again till she gave in to it. Mark and Alan were not very helpful either in this regard. They straight up ignored her if she asked for too much.

"Let's go inside Kuro" the base was deadly quiet once she entered. She felt several heads moved to look and point at her which she had to ignore in favour of going forward. If she gave an inch then they would take a mile with her.
