Chapter 3: The Knights Discussion

The Knight at the front door knocks and says,

"We have come to pick up the Laplace Magician candidate."

I look at the door with a scared look,

My mother hugs me to try and calm my nerves and says,

"Don't worry dear, you are strong and very smart, Aimer."

After, my Father approaches the door and opens it, greeting the Knights my Father says,

"We appreciate you coming all the way here, you must have some questions about our talented daughter, but please take a seat"

the Knights look around and walk inside and take seats, one of them says,

"We are from the Meggido Empire, we have come to escort your daughter to the capital to train her accordingly."

My Mother retorts,

"Do we really have to take our daughter to the Empire? I mean, she is still very young.."

After my Mother speaks, my Father gives a worried face to my Mother.

"You are justified in worrying about your daughter, but we will shield her from any harm ma'am. We of the Knight corps in the Meggido Empire are trained to serve and protect. It is our duty to escort her to the Meggido Empire."

Replied, one of the Knights.

My Mother is great because she dotes on me, always watching me while she doesn't have any house duties to fulfill.

Of course she was worried that her daughter will be going on a long journey.

My Mother lets out a sigh and resolves herself to trust in the Knights to protect her daughter, then says,

"Well it can't be helped but I trust you will protect our daughter."

My Father nods in agreement,

"Well we will be departing shortly to escort the Laplace Magician candidate."

Says the Knight while standing up,

My Father and Mother start preparing my supplies for the journey and give it to the Knights and says,

"I put my daughter in your care."

Seriously my old man sounds like hes giving his daughter off to a man.

I feel so embarrassed and pout while my cheeks turn beet red, then I say,

"Ughh jeez Dad, you sound like you are giving me off to a man"

Realizing what he said, he laughs and gives a wry smile sarcastically saying,

"Ah sorry, your father had always been so dense."

I keep pouting, and run to the couch and cover my face with a pillow,

My Mother giggles at my antics saying,

"My, how shy our daughter is, Dear don't tease her too much!"

A few hours pass by..

The Knights return to pick me up and we head on a journey to the Meggido Empire.
