Chapter Twelve

AMAYA POV

"She is obsessed with Kross and that is the only reason I called you my partner, I can't let her know you are in this house because of Kross, she might just poison you in your sleep "he joked but it wasn't funny to me.

"Why do you stay with her if she is that desperate about Kross, just send her out" I insisted, I didn't want to be murdered before my time.

"We can't send her out she is pregnant for Kross".

"That is not enough excuse for her to still be in this mansion despite the kind of person she is". I said to him but he chuckled.

"Do you think if I had the chance to send her out I won't have done that since all this while"? He questioned.

"She would always find her way back to this house no matter how hard you try so I am just trying to get used to her presence". Kris said while the servants who stood behind us came to arrange all the dishes and take them away since we were both done with our dishes.

"You said Kross loved me but with what I see here, this isn't love at all". I said to him.

"He loves you and do you know I still stand by my words, because for once he was not attracted to your physiques but instead your character and he adores you without a specific reason, that is what you call true love ". Kris said

"I don't see that as true love in any way, just imagine if you had agreed to sell me to him. I would just have to bear the fact that Amanda would be pulling my hair every day and at night I would hear moans of different women in the mansion ". I said, Kris started laughing to the edge of choking.

"You would have to bear with it and it seems like Kross wanted to marry you immediately I sold him to you". Why would Kross marry me without knowing me too well? What if I betray him or don't love him back just the way he loves me?

"Kross is crazy ". I commented standing up from my seat.

"Don't let him hear that, you have only seen the good side of Kross and not the bad side and it would be better if it stays that way, night ". Kris said going through his phone like he did not just give me a warning.

"Goodnight ". I whispered still reminiscing on all the words Kris just told me. Kross wanted to marry me despite having a concubine, a lot of mistresses and baby mamas that would have. Ade me his legal wife against all the women in his life, one thing always bothered me though. Was Kris never interested in women or he just isn't the type who follows women around because they claimed Kristen was an exception to Kross's character but he still slept with me without thinking twice, just in the name of revenge?

There is so much to this man that I still don't know about and through Kris and this training, I would know everything.

I already had a goal the minute I stepped into this mansion, to make the most out of all the opportunities that would be given to me just to become a better person.

I played on my bed staring at the ceiling for several minutes and almost up to an hour and still couldn't fall asleep, I checked the clock and noticed it was too late for me to fall asleep. I stood up from my bed and walked downstairs to the garden, it was quiet yet refreshing and I was enjoying my moment even before my moment got ruined I was already feeling it in me that someone would ruin it and when I turned around to know who was behind the footsteps it was Kristen but today he was drunk and he looked breathtaking, this was the first time I was standing face to face with him without either being drunk or vice versa.

"Amaya," he called moving closer to me, I thought Kris had assured me that Kristen wouldn't get anywhere close to me but Kristen was always touching me and being the first guy to make love to me it felt awkward, I had so much hatred for him that I couldn't explain and the more he acted like a pervert the more I hated him. He continued to move close to me.

"I didn't want to come back home but whenever I remember there is a woman named Amaya waiting for me I immediately rush back home". He whispered, cupping my cheeks in his hands.

"How could my brother dare to fall in love with you, There were thousands of women but he picked an innocent girl like you". He continued, I couldn't say anything because I was still puzzled by all the things he was saying.

"And now Kris is protecting you, something that has never been heard of, Kris Phantom protecting a woman and training her to be just like him, you are very lucky, the most powerful family in the country are protecting you and the most dangerous of them all is training you". What does he mean by most dangerous, is he trying to say Kris is the most dangerous of them all?

After what Kristen said to me I constantly noticed Kris, he was the fierce one who wasn't scared of anyone. He ruled the Mansion, I became confused about who the superior was among the triplets. Maybe he is the first of the triplets, this is so bothersome and I still feel frightened to ask him.

It was time for breakfast again, I rushed downstairs to meet Kris but Amanda was also at the table, I had forgotten she was now a new member of the mansion.

"I was about to call for you". Kris said without staring at me as I gently stepped down the stairs and joined the breakfast.
