vs Generation of Miracles Epilogue

As the final buzzer sounded, Hanabira, even Hideki, mechanically stood up and shook hands with the players, Hideki shook hands with everyone even the disgruntled Aomine, then Hideki last shook hands with Kuroko who told him "Nice game out there Hideki-senpai, I'm sorry this happened."

Hideki didn't talk for a second and said "In the end,  I guess I can't beat Teiko, moreso the Miracles" Momoi got near the two to shake hands with Hideki, as Hideki saw Momoi he smiled a little but saw the hurt in her face and started to slowly weep, bitterly at that, and told Momoi "Sorry Sa-chan, I couldn't do your request." As Hideki sobbed, he last said "Forgive me…" He then go to his team and proceeded to exit to the tunnel after the customary bow.

In the changing room, everybody was somber and just changed into their other clothes and proceeded to go home. Except for Hideki, even the coaches left the room to plan their 3rd placement match against Seiho. Coach Yoshida silently gave the keys to Hideki before leaving.

Outside the arena, Kanai was worried that Hideki didn't left the changing room after 20 minutes, so she told Momoi that she couldn't find the Teiko changing room as it was only accessible to team players and staff at that time, Momoi received the text and she hasn't left the arena as she was the last one to left the changing room after cleaning it, she rushed to the Hanabira changing room and saw Shogo Aoki standing there, who told her that Hideki has yet to leave the room after 20 minutes, but was ashamed to enter, due the team's earlier mental breakdown.

Momoi told Kanai to go to the room as they are now permitted to enter and when they entered, they saw Hideki full on crying on the bench, alone. Kanai saw this and wanted to enter but could not as she was also holding back tears for her son, so Momoi entered the room and tried to talk to Hideki.

Hideki felt that somebody was sitting beside him and in through his tears he saw the pink haired girl and hugged her tightly and said "Sorry" many times and in those sorry he said different things such as "Sorry, I couldn't stop Aomine", "Sorry I couldn't stop the Miracles" and lastly "Sorry I couldn't win the championship for Hanabira". The two teenagers remained there, Hideki sobbing while hugging Momoi.

After 10 minutes, Hideki slowly stopped his crying session and told Momoi "Sorry Sa-chan I got your clothes wet." Momoi said, "Don't worry I brought extra clothes" because she knew that things may get wet due to a team getting beaten, and that was Hanabira, she didn't said that part. Momoi then told Hideki "Come on Hidekin, your mom is waiting outside she is worried now." Hideki didn't answer, he just nodded. Outside he saw how mom Kanai and surprisingly he saw Kuroko behind her and he said "What are you doing here Kuroko?"

Kanai and Momoi was shocked that "Kuroko instantly appeared" so Kuroko said "As I saw Momoi going to your team's changing room, I followed her to make sure she's safe" Hideki sadly chuckled and said "Thanks, but don;t worry she's safe with me" Kuroko just said "I know"

Kanai then asked Hideki "Are you okay now?" Hideki just said "Yup. For now. But I still have another liter of tears later at home, I just want to get home" 

As they walked outside, he told Kanai and Kuroko "But let's walk Momoi home first, I know her mom is worried" They just accepted Hideki's idea, but halfway Kuroko turned to tell them that his house in the other direction and he told Momoi "See you tomorrow Momoi-san" Momoi hugged him and said "Yeah, see you too tomorrow Tetsu."

As they got in front of Momoi's house, Momoi opened the door with her mother in front of it, seemingly happy that her daughter is now home, she saw Hideki's disheveled appearance and said "Let me guess you lost?" Hideki just silently nodded and Momoi's mother patted his head and said "It's fine, we have setbacks in life, but I have a good news for you." 

Momoi puzzledly looked at her mother, then her mother said "You are near winning my daughter's heart young man, at least you still won in something didn't you?" Momoi shrieked and nearly shouted "Mom! Now's not the time for that!" 

But this didn't move Hideki, he didn't even flinch and just solemnly said "Okay. I think it's time we go home mom." He then looked at Momoi and said "Bye, Sa-chan. See you when I see you" 

Momoi was now tearing up as well and she hurriedly hugged him and said "It's not your fault Hidekin. Please don't beat yourself up with this loss."

Hideki didn't respond and Momoi removed her arms as she was now wiping her tears as she saw Hideki leave.
