"Beginning of the 16th over. Lahore's runs 104/5 (104 runs with 5 wickets lost). Feyz Saleh takes over the batting crease. Lahore's captain has finally entered the field to pull his team up in this crucial time…" Maaz said.
Alan tightly clenched his fists, a blaze ignited in his eyes with his heart racing incessantly. He could at last feel it…the same excitement he had forfeited two years ago.
Delivering the first ball of the over Helios whispered, "Sun's Surge!" An inswinger aimed at Feyz's feet. Undoubtedly his expression at that moment was aggravated. Feyz gritted, "Door of Fervor… Burn everything to ashes!" His hairs changing purple, he stepped forward slamming his bat upwards for an on drive for a six.
"Huge! Slammed straight to the leg side over 99 meters, Feyz Saleh is here to settle the score!" Jones remarked.
"A Door…? Hmp, I knew he wasn't that simple." Helios studied. His expression serene, he headed back.
Delivering three more balls which accumulated a single run and 2 dot returns. Helios went for the 4th delivery. "Feyz is a quick witted batsman. Since is a fast baller, his is used to defend and play against them. Moreover, that door makes things much easier for him. Despite, not know what abilities he truly hold, I can sense he won't get out so easily. If that's the case then…" he ran towards the popping crease.
Tossing the ball from his grip he whispered, "Twilight Surging Sunbreak!"
Using the same grip, the ball oblivious of its swung on the pitch headed for Andre.
"I'll aim for the other one!" Helios smirked.
Andre reading the ball squinted his eyes, upon pitch's tap it instantly went outside. "An Outswinger." he guessed, stepping forward, he slammed the ball through the ground. Taking a run.
"Ezekiel go!" Kenzo called as he ran behind the ball from the cover area immediately grasping it. "Andre! Don't run!" Feyz alerted from the other side. Turning around, Andre gasped as Ezekiel had already thrown the ball towards the wicket. Running back, now futile, Cassiel stood behind the wicket to cover up Ezekiel's aim. And straight went the ball, crashing against the wicket. Two of its stumps blown off while the last one flashing red incessantly.
"Yes!" Helios raised his fists up.
"Blasting!!" the commentators went, "Here he does it as well! First wicket by Karachi's pacers 'Helios Zadeh'. What a run out!!"
"Yahoo!!" the crowd went wild.
"Way to go!!" Haris and Christopher cheered.
Poseidon heading to Helios clapped his hand beside Ezekiel, "Good job!" the two encouraged.
"Feyz Saleh was here to swing the game but Andre didn't get the chance to pursue a partnership with him. What a role, what persistence! For he had been there till the end after Beruni and Nour leaving the pitch on 28(23)." Jones remarked.
"What the hell is wrong with you all?!" Kubrah snapped at the middleschoolers. Some flinched over his suppression while others clenched their fists mad yet wordless.
"Have your minds gone eating weeds or have they lost their ability to think, you pieces of…!" Kubrah continued to ridicule.
"That's enough…" Haroon interrupted grave. "It won't take me a minute to disqualify you out of the entire tournament and send you back home." he threatened cross.
Kubrah gulped irritated.
"If you keep on going like this, it no use, you can't win today. You must change your strategies and use all balls left to accumulate your runs." Zhangli advised, glancing at the middleschoolers.
Nour scoffed turning to the ground, "As our rivals, I can't believe we are getting support from you all." "Ours…" he turned to Ashura who glared at them, "Aren't even worthy of doing something so trivial."
Suleiman turned to Ashura in disbelief. " We are doing everyhting we can and know. Don't worry about us, Even if we lose today. We would have lost after giving it our all without anyone's help. I definitely won't regret that." Rio eyed their highschoolers one by one.
"On the contrary, they are strong… strong, worthy opponents." Jahangir stepped outside the pavilion, "I am glad I faced them today. And I know Feyz must be thinking the same."
Joining Feyz, the two tapped their fists together. "I don't know if I can give my best captain since I am a baller but I don't want to give up till the very end." Jahangir vowed beaming with a light blush.
Feyz smiling ruffled his hairs, "Good boy… and thank you."
Jahangir gasped over his words. Taking the batting crease thinking, "I wonder how he must be feeling right now…"
Helios's over ending Seraph took the 17th over. "Off to you, send them back." Helios spurred on winking.
Seraph smiled nodding.
Lahore achieving 111/6, needed 70 more runs on 24 balls. A target that seemed impossible to achieve, Feyz tapped his bat looking forward. Delivering the 3rd ball Seraph whispered, "Infrasonic Glint Wave 1!"
Feyz immediately squinted his gaze. "This delivery creates no sound which makes it inaudible for a normal ear to detect it making difficult to be countered. I must counter before it hits the ground." he stepped forward smashing the ball as a straight drive taking a run.
"Grab it, Ryan!" Seraph called. Only a single run taken Seraph headed back.
"His Infrasonic Waves have increased in speed since the last time. His first wave now measures up to…" Nagi instantly halted amid his sentence glancing at Romeo and Haitam. Romeo smirked.
"No need to stop Nagi~" Rovan sat straight. His eyes instantly revealing a black magic circle, he continued, "1st wave measuring up to, "164.3 km/hr. with the 2nd one measuring to 170.2 km/hr. Aren't I right?" he smiled. "Haiz… for a middleschooler I really can't believe my eyes. Around Pakistan I bet he might be the only one to achieve this much in terms of speed." he remarked.
Nagi narrowed his gaze with his guard raised, "He can even predict speed now...?"
Kazuna, Elias, Rauf and Zachariah stared at the pitch silent.
Catching the ball up and down again, Seraph delivered the 4th ball of the over. "Infrasonic Glint Wave 2!" Jahangir on the popping crease, traced the ball puzzled, "So fas…!" he uttered however, even before he could even think the ball had travelled into the wickets.
Flashing red and white, Seraph travelled his hands to his hairs, "Ah~ Marvelous~!"
"OUT!!" the crowd bellowed next.
"Seraph Awan's first wicket! A mid-wicket bold! It was so full of speed that I couldn't even see it!" Maaz rose up from his seat.
"Incredible! Even ballers can't hold the batting line. A harsh and disappointing outcome coming from Jahangir as he heads back to the pavilion on 01. Replacing him, Jules enters the arena…." Jones continued.
Feyz gritted, his expression hidden, he gazed up at the shimmering night sky as if abandoned and overwhelmed by the crushing pain of defeat. "Aren't you that sky? Just by looking up you're awed by it. Then why don't you make sure they all look up to you tomorrow…?" Haroon's words repeating his mind he whispered, "I am sorry…"
Alan, clearly agitated, stepped out of the pavilion.
"Where are you going now…?" Aigou asked however, Kazuna shook his head gesturing him stop.
"He is angry right now. Don't provoke him any further." Haitam said.
"When was I provoking him?" Aigou retorted puffing his cheeks.
"Feyz's performance. Don't you feel it? Ashura that lowly bastard. Mocking others without even looking at himself first..." Isa uttered irritated, "Say Rauf…"
Rauf glanced back, "Hm?"
"Let me tell you, if we ever face him again. I want to be a part of the team even if you don't take me in any other. I want to be in the team that plays against him all costs! Though, I earnestly hope to not to face him at all!" Isa threatened, for even he didn't know what he might do.
Nidou scoffed while Rauf looked ahead nodding ever so lightly. A light smile escaping Zach's lips, he dabbed Isa's back. Isa's expression slowly calming down, he exhaled disappointed.
"Xavier, swap places with Ryan. We need to cover our boundaries." Kenzo advised.
"Hm." Xavier nodded taking charge. Fielding positions once again altered, Lahore had to score 49 more runs on 12 more balls (2 overs).
Helios taking the balling over delivered the first ball of the over. Starting with a dot return Jules took in the pressure directed on them.
Alan stepping before Lahore's pavilion exhaled. His gaze grim.
"We've lost…" Beruni whispered in disbelief. Rio ruffled his hairs. Munkar teary-eyed, sat sobbing.
"Come on, there's no need to cry…" Nour grabbed him patting his back.
"Pathetic!" Kubrah uttered repulsed.
Arham glared back at him mad. "How dare you say something!?" Charles retorted however, Ashura's single piercing glare sent shockwaves down his spine, while Asim and the other highschoolers wore looks of disgust.
"You couldn't even perform. How dare you talk back?" Ashura's voice menacing, they hushed as quite as death.
"Ashura…" Akbar called.
However, another cranky voice interrupted, "Tch, as proud as a peacock aren't you? As always but, have you ever glanced at your black feet hun?" Alan taunted making his way in.
Zhangli blinked flabbergasted. Suleiman, Akbar, Asim, Kubrah and all highschoolers, middleschoolers including Haroon turned around wordless.
