Lumielle didn't have much luck. She knew that very well as she looked at the man who was supposed to be her father.
"I heard that your deal with Lactia is going smoothly," he commented while cutting into his salmon. It was a gift from the fishermen in Lactia—they had techniques for fish and now the market of seafood was slowly starting to open to the citizens of Endora.
He was glowing with excitement.

Lumielle didn't say anything as she quietly patted her lips dry. The meal in front of her was practically untouched.
She hadn't been eating recently. Every day had been busy with writing letters to Lactia, checking up on the sword that she had made for Asterias and then finally her brother. The two hadn't had a single conversation since the day Lyanna had come over. Yet, despite her empty stomach, Lumielle still didn't want to eat.
It was a sense of control.
