"So, that's what happened?" Lumielle asked looking up from her book. The Sekrina Root plant was what she had been studying as of late as she remembered that the Emperor had been poisoned by it. Yet, the low toxicity made no sense. It felt as though something else was hiding beneath the curtain, and she wasn't sure as to what it was.

Aristele made himself at home, sitting down on the bed next to her. She reached over to touch his blonde tresses with a soft hand.

"That annoying bitch," he grumbled out, "She said that she understands me." His voice soured as he closed his eyes. Lumielle gazed at her younger brother. In past, this had also happened but Aristele had been more open in accepting Cosette's affection and love. He had met with her multiple times and only after Cosette had declared that they could be family did Aristele shove her away.

This time, Cosette had acted sooner. She had acted quicker and Aristele had pushed her away even before a relationship had budded.
