"Father, I already told you not to wait for me. Now the food is cold," Billy said helplessly as
he strolled in.
Dimitri, Billy's good-looking father, was the fourth son of Hans, the Alexei Family Head. His
aptitude wasn't quite exemplary, and he had only reached Four-star Human Rank.Dimitri held the same strength as Instructor Lester and he wasn't necessarily the weakest in the family. Moreover, being a direct descendant of the Alexei family had its advantage since his resources were much more top-notch than that of Instructor Lester. Not to mention his status as the Family Head's son.
Although Dimitri's aptitude wasn't well-equipped, he had easy access to a wide range of training
resources. It seemed that Dimitri's Four-star Human Rank didn't measure up at all. Above Dimitri were
three brothers. The weakest of them was Eight-star Human Rank while the strongest reached
Nine-star. It wouldn't be an issue if it were the only concern. However, Dimitri did something bold that
resulted in a tremendous loss to the Alexei family. Things got even worse when his action
caused Billy to be frowned upon by the entire Alexei family. Billy felt powerless each time this matter was raised. Dimitri lost his confidence because of his aptitude. He became introverted and even a little wimpy.
On one training trip, he met a lovely young woman from a large family and fell in love
with her at first glance. Dimitri knew that he wasn't worthy of such a woman, so he followed her secretly as she went hiking up the mountain. He was extremely fortunate. She got poisoned by a powerful Devil
Beast after she managed to kill it. This woman was determined to attain Internal Strength and
wasn't interested in love. Virginity was nothing important to her. So, when she realized the
presence of Dimitri, she had sex with him straight off in order to save her life. When they were
done, she just left him there alone. But what happened afterward was beyond belief. Startlingly,
the woman got pregnant.
Although this woman was hell-bent on training, she was also all excited for the life inside her
womb, so she decided to keep the child. Her family soon found out about the incident. Luckily,
they weren't bothered about her lost innocence, or the Alexei family would have been wiped out.
However, the Alexei family still paid a substantial sum of money to address the issue. For everything that had happened, everyone neglected to consider that Dimitri was the one who was forced to do so.
This woman was Billy's birth mother, who chose to protect him in her womb. When
Billy was born, his aptitude was only at the Level-four of the Lower-grade.
In River City, there were very few people below the Lower-grade. Those at the third level of the
Lower-grade and above could hardly be seen in public. They often ignored all discussions
concerning the aptitude level of people in the Lower-grade. After all, it was deemed
inappropriate to keep calling out someone to be inferior to them.
However, in the household of Billy's mother, even the first level of the Lower-grade was
treated like trash. Only those at the Upper-grade were given importance.
A person's aptitude was divided into four grades: Lower-grade, Medium-grade, Upper-grade,
and Top-grade. Every grade was divided further into nine levels. So there were a total of
thirty-six levels. The first level was the highest, and the ninth level was the lowest of all.
Aside from Billy's poor aptitude, his mother also thought about his delicate position in her
family, so she sent him to live with his father. Sure enough, Billy's Fourth-level Aptitude of
Lower-grade, which wasn't appreciated by his mother's family, caught the attention of the Alexei
family.
The last three levels of the Lower-grade meant that the person could easily break through to the
Human Rank if he had the proper training method. Meanwhile, having Third-level Aptitude of the
Lower-grade could prove advantageous to him in advancing to the Middle Upper-grade in the
Human Rank.
For someone with Upper Third Grade Aptitude, he could likely break through to the Human
Rank and eventually end up as a Mystic Rank expert. He only needed the proper method and
much in-depth training to gain more experience.
For one with Human-class Fourth-level Aptitude, he might fail in breaking through to the Mystic
Rank, but he was, at least, at Human Rank 9 Stars. Given the right training and adequate
support of his family, he could ultimately reach Human Rank 10 Stars or higher levels.
At present, the strongest cultivator in the Alexei family was Human Rank 10 Stars. How could
they even turn a blind eye to Billy?
Unfortunately, the Alexei family's top echelons found out that there was an issue with Billy's
body. He couldn't produce any Internal Strength at all. For unexplained reasons, his Internal
Strength often disappeared inexplicably. Consequently, they didn't consider Billy to be
exceedingly special.
Despite the discontent that Hans and the others felt toward Billy, they never dared to
neglect him since his mother was born into a large family. Only those of Billy's age might
secretly despise him.
Dimitri gazed at his son guiltily. Of course, he also saw how the Alexei family scorned his son.
Under his father's guilt-ridden eyes, Billy finished his breakfast gloomily. He didn't care
about the antipathy thrown at him. But no matter how much he talked his father into it, Dimitri
continued to feel like a culprit. After quite some time, Billy stopped trying to persuade him.
The breakfast was cold. Other members of the Alexei family obviously wouldn't get this
treatment, but Dimitri and Billy were different.
Billy didn't care, and he even wanted to use it to motivate his father's combative spirit. He
didn't want his father to be labeled a coward. Unfortunately, his efforts were to no avail, so he
finally gave up. If only this case had not been brought to light so soon, Billy might have
intervened in this matter.
At this point, Billy wasn't expecting his father to change his cowardly disposition.
Moreover, Billy's depression didn't stop there. After all, his father was a good-looking man,
and his mother was also exceedingly prepossessing. This led him to wonder why he seemed so
ordinary? His face was barely eye-catching. What more could he do if he were only a
transmigrator?
After eating, Billy got up and went straight to his bedroom to further unravel the mystery of
his body.
"Young Master, you just finished your training. I've heated some water so you could have a
warm bath." An elderly man with a soothing voice spoke from behind him as soon as Billy
entered his room.
"Thank you, Alan," Billy replied gently.
Billy's mother sent Alan to take care of her son. In the Alexei family, no one dared to offend
him since he was most likely a Mystic Rank expert. He was even described as River City's
number one warrior. However, his primary focus was on Billy alone, and he had no concern
for others. Otherwise, the Alexei family's status would have reached the top in one shot if they
had relied on Alan's capabilities.
It was precisely the presence of Alan in the house that prevented the Alexei family from
mistreating Dimitri and Billy. All they could do was gossip about the father and his son.
As a result, while Billy's life may not have been good for the past few years, it wasn't that
bad either.
In fact, although Billy had some notion of his background and life experiences because he
was a transmigrator, much of his knowledge came from the stories of Alan.
In the entire Alexei family, only Alan, Billy, and Dimitri knew what really happened that day
between Billy's parents. Dimitri never raped Billy's mother, it was her who pressured
him to have sex.
After saying a few words, Alan stepped out of the room. When Billy finished washing his
body thoroughly, he sat on the bed with his legs crossed.
Billy started practicing the Alexei Family's basic training method. Slowly, he produced a
weak Internal Strength across his lower abdomen just two inches below the belly button where
his life force resided, which then flowed into all his body meridians. However, when it passed
through his heart, this Internal Strength entered a certain place where it got absorbed
completely.
Simultaneously, a faint gold and red light flashed at the location of Billy's heart.
After all these years, Billy finally realized that the reason he couldn't store the Internal
Strength in his energy center was because of the strange golden-red glow in his heart.
Billy had no idea where this light came from, but he was sure that solving this mystery
would help him a great deal in his future. As a result, he allowed the continuous absorption of
the golden-red light of all his Internal Strength for many years now.
