Chapter 7

Mei had peeked his interest which made him turn around and sat back down in a chair.

"Very well then" Sebastian grinned at her as he sat down.

"I'm a woman who always believes that marriage shouldn't be taken lightly," Mei said while forcing herself from fidgeting. It was true. She doesn't want to marry because of some deal. It was always her dream to marry with love.

Carl looked at his boss. His boss usually doesn't like women who tell him how to do things. He was already sweating nervously due to the heavy atmosphere his boss has created. And then he through a look at the woman in front of his boss, although her fear of his boss has already been obvious, she still remained calm.

Mei, on the other hand, was pretending she wasn't afraid of him because, in all honesty, she was. She was merely holding on to her last ounce of self-control.

"Well, I'm not someone who predicts the future. I cannot promise you love, but I will treat you with respect and with dignity. Of course, I will not forget that you are a best-selling author. I will treat you the best as I can and will fulfill whatever wishes you have," Sebastian said, assuring her.

Mei, who was so nervous let out a sigh of relief. But Sebastian's assuring words were not enough to comfort her.

"I just want to marry someone to satisfy my grandfather's last wish. However, I don't like the person he wishes to marry me off" Sebastian added. "If you're going to accept, we will directly go and wed in secret in front of an attorney."

Secret? That's good right. At least her real identity will still be hidden?

"When you marry me, I will keep your identity secret so that will not be a problem," Sebastian said as he saw her worried face.

She took a deep breath first and then she said: "Is there a contract? Where shall I sign?"
