The way back to Jujutsu High was quiet and tense, they were sent on a mission that said they would exorcise a weak second grade spirit and in reality it was a first grade that would have been a threat if not for Fukashi.
Fukashi seemed surprisingly calm, maybe he had not realised the potential meaning of this mission. The higher ups had sent them on it to potentially get them or more specifically Fukashi killed.
Fukashi wasn't bothered about any of that, he was focused on retaining the euphoria he felt. He can't explain it, he loved the way Maki, Panda and Inumaki all reacted.
The look in their eyes was of awe.
'Was this what Gojo felt all the time' he thought in awe 'everyone knowing that he was strong, no everyone knowing he is the strongest'
Fukashi felt it in his bones. He wanted that, he wanted that feeling, he needed everyone to look at him like that.

Principal Yaga was angry, it was obvious "A first grade!" He shouted at the roof in his office. "A damn first grade" he muttered to himself.
He sat back down into his expensive office chair and leaned back. He released a sigh, he had just heard the briefing of the mission his second years were sent on earlier today.
He still couldn't believe it, the higher ups had risked killing Panda, the only independent cursed corpse in the entire world and more importantly his son, just for a Uchiha.
No, not just any Uchiha.
A Uchiha with a Sharingan that according to the reports of his students had dismantled and brutally exorcised the first grade spirit.
'The last Uchiha, they would really wipe out the whole bloodline' he sighed as he ran his hand through his hair. 'What are they so afraid of?' He thought to himself.
'Every day that passed the theory that the higher ups caused the Uchihas death grows credence, why else would they do this' he sighed as he stood up and started to sort through various bits of paperwork on his desk.

The second years were all sat down in the kitchen getting food, Fukashi was slowly eating as he eyed the other second years. They looked worried, he didn't know why, that was an easy fight.
He decided to ignore the wary glances they were sharing and the slightly tense atmosphere and dived into the beef that was in the bowl in front of him.
As he was chewing he decided to try and alleviate the tension in the room with some conversation, he nodded to himself. "Foods good" he said with a mouthful of food.
He was ignored.
He huffed and went back to stuffing his face.

Maki took a look at the Uchiha who was currently not showing much of the typical Uchiha class. She remembered meeting many of the Uchiha clan when she was young, they were prideful to a fault and you would never catch one eating like that.
She rolled her eyes at the thought, if she ever ate like that the Zen'in elders would probably hang her.
Thinking of the Uchiha, ever since Fukashi had come to Jujutsu High she has constantly been thinking about her own family.
Sometimes she wishes for the family to be destroyed under her foot, she snorted at the thought. She wouldn't even beat a single one of those old bags in charge right now.
Other times she wished the family was different, that she would lead the family to being different. But for that she would need strength, not only to lead the clan but to also fight off any of the countless enemies she would gain.
She occasionally wonders what Fukashi thinks about his family's deaths, does he mourn them, does he even care. He's never even mentioned them while he's been here, but she hasn't exactly mentioned her own family either.
Maybe she should, let him know about her family, and just maybe he will return the favour.
She was curious, she was willing to tell him about her family for the chance to hear about the family of the last Uchiha.
She gestured for Panda and Inumaki to leave the room with her hand, they were confused but quickly left. She's not even sure the idiot in front of her noticed them leave.
He was so fixated on his food that she thought she would struggle to even catch his attention. Not so subtly she cleared her throat "Hey Fukashi"
Fukashis head quickly raised and met Makis eyes with curiosity apparent on his face. "Yeah?" He asked.
"My family name is Zen'in" she said, Fukashi was now confused, clearly she could tell and she continued. "You've heard of the Zen'in Family?" Maki asked.
He nodded in reply "Yeah, Akira said you guys are pretty powerful" he said with his focus still half on his food.
"The Zen'ins are one of the big three clans of the Jujutsu world." His head raised at that, and he met her eyes.
"The big three clans?" He asked with chopsticks hanging limply in his fingers.
She cleared her throat "Yeah, the Gojo family, the Zen'in family and the Kamo family."
"What about the Uchiha?" he asked with curiosity apparent in his tone.
"They, well they were there but since the Uchiha Disaster they were replaced with the Kamo clan" she said with a slight wince.
His eyes seemed to narrow before he snorted "I've heard of the Kamo clan, they're weak." His words were dismissive but some anger was present on his face.
Silence rang in the room, a small clock ticking was the only sound heard as they both stared at one another.
To break the silence she decided to open up a little "The Zen'in aren't great, usually they kick out any family members who lack a strong cursed technique" Fukashi seemed to perk up at that.
"What's your cursed technique then?" He asked.
"I don't have one" silence once again struck the kitchen.
"Is that why you don't have much cursed energy" he was interested now as he leant forward.
She nodded "I have a Heavenly Restriction, I was born with it. I lose most of my cursed energy in return for my physical strength."
He had noticed her strength, she was definitely physically stronger than even Panda.
"I would have been abandoned by the clan if not for being the daughter of one of the higher ranked members of the clan" she admitted.
What the hell was he meant to say in response to that.
Maki hesitated before asking "What was the Uchiha like?" Her tone seemed to slightly soften as she asked.
That question caught Fukashi by surprise, he hadn't thought of them in a while. He swallowed and looked down to his food in thought. "They were nice, I-I remember my father, I barely remember my mother"
"What were they like?" Maki asked.
He ran his hand through his hair as he leaned back into the chair and looked at the wooden roof above him. "My father was strict, he had goals for me. I remember when I first activated the Sharingan, he was shocked, but that was the first time I saw him smile I think."
Fukashis had a small smile as he thought back to his father "I-I remember when we went on a hunting trip for my 5th birthday, I tripped and got this scar" he pointed towards the tiny scar underneath his jaw.
Maki leaned across the small table to get a closer look at the extremely faint scar. He was still leaned back and looking at the ceiling.
He didn't notice her until he felt her finger gently run across the tiny scar that ran along the underside of his jaw. He shivered at the touch but didn't move.
He felt her breath against his throat and felt his blood race.
His face heated up at the touch but he tried to ignore the contact. "M-my younger brother was the same, h-he was nice" Maki quickly noticed his breath hitching as he spoke of his younger brother
She didn't even know he had a younger brother. "You had a younger brother?"
—
"Get out of my room!" A Young Fukashi shouted towards his younger Brother Leiji. He had come into his room for no reason!
"And knock next time you idiot!" The 6 year old shouted to the 5 year old.
Leiji pouted before kicking his elder brother's leg and ran out of the room in a hurry when Fukashi looked back at him with a glare.
"Hey!" Fukashi shouted while laying down on his futon, but something else caught his eye. Leiji had left his door open again! "HEY! LE COME AND CLOSE MY DOOR!" He shouted from his futon.
The idiot always left his door open! When Fukashi didn't get a response he stood up and rushed out the room.
His brother always hid by the lake, so Fukashi went right there.
Tonight his clan had a meeting or something so the clan compound was packed full of Uchihas who all seemed to greet and wave at him as he passed. He didn't wave back though, he was determined to beat up Leiji for being an idiot!
With almost a hundred homes and dozens of businesses it was basically a village so it took a while for the young Uchiha to make his way through the gigantic compound.
But when he finally got out of the compound he didn't even wave to the guards like usual and ran out the front gates.
Fukashi got to the lake in a hurry, his anger was boiling over. He couldn't explain it, he just got so angry when this happened!
It's happened so many times and Le just always ignores him or hides behind mother and blames everything on him.
He kicked a pebble as he came to the lake, he looked back to the bustling clan compound as he started to sneak around.
His brother always hid behind these stupid rocks so Fukashi came up with a plan, he would scare him as payback.
Fukashi could barely contain his malicious grin as he jumped on top of the rocks and screamed! "AHHHHH!"
Only to notice no one was there.
"Huh" why isn't he here Fukashi thought to himself.
He heard muffled snickers from behind him and he turned around only to see the snickering Leiji running back to the clan compound.
Fukashi was stuck still in shock as his brother tricked him! That-that idiot! He snarled as he tripped off the rocks and fell into the lake which only made the snickering noticeably louder.
Falling in the lake saved him.
BANG!
Even half submerged with only his forehead above the water Fukashi heard the bang and felt his ears pop. His eyes were filled with colour as a large green explosion was suddenly all he could see.
His hair was blown back from the shockwave, his eyes were wide and his pulse was racing as he tried to peel his eyes off the explosion but couldn't.
He didn't notice the dozens of deadly pieces of shrapnel race past his face, only missing him by sheer dumb luck.
He didn't notice the rock he just fell off being smashed with half a tree suddenly penetrating it, nor did he notice the fragments of bone and chunks of burnt flesh littering the floor.
He only noticed the green explosion.
It was all different shades of green, his sharingan activated subconsciously and he took notice that it was made of pure cursed energy.
He didn't notice his lack of breathing until his lungs let him know by screaming in protest. He pulled his body out of the water and took deep breaths and he stumbled back to his feet.
His shock was quickly ended when he felt something shift underneath his foot. He looked down and saw a pane of wood, it was bright red.
Probably from a merchant's stand he thought to himself as his Sharingan started to memorise every detail it saw.
A severed leg that seemed to be twitching, half a face that he couldn't recognise, a pig it's ribs seemed to have pierced its skull.
A groaning woman was was somehow holding her own intestines, the screaming cow that was somehow running away with only 2 legs.
His eyes quickly ran across the ground until he saw a familiar form.
"LE!" He screamed in a high pitched voice, he ran to the form only to see his legs completely missing and one of his arms completely torn from the socket.
Fukashi rushed over, he slipped over the blood stained sand and almost fell face first into the body of his younger brother.
'This can't be real!' He thought to himself as tears stained his face.
