It’s official

[ I put all of this together in one chapter so I could get into the main plot soon👀]

present time

Gabimaru and the rest of the sorcerers went back to the school after the mission was complete and during the whole car ride Shoko gave Gabi and Yu a death stare and Gabi didn't take the risk of trying to test out the water either. When they got out of the van, Gabi tried to escape Shoko's grasp but he was unsuccessful since the short-haired girl grabbed the white-haired boy by his collar.

" Not so fast, you degenerate," She had a churlish tone in her voice her eyes bulged out with disgust looking at the boy.

( She just called me the D word? I didn't do anything though. I AM INNOCENT! )

Yu took this chance and left the rest of them by the van and ran for his life.

( Why am I the only one getting bashed now? What about Yu?!)

Gojo look at the two with a bewildered expression, "I'm not going to question this but I didn't know you two have D.S fetish. Heheh. I will leave you two alone, " Gojo showed a sly smirk as he wiggled his eyebrows.

( Idiot. She's going to kill me and you think this is all for fun and games.)

Gojo went skipping away from the two teens giggling out loud like a little kid getting excited for ice cream leaving a snappy Shoko and a nervous Gabi.

( I have never seen Shoko this irritated before and trust me she gets frustrated a lot but this time it looks like she's beyond annoyed. It's all that girl's fault for giving me her underwear! Never once in my life have I even thought about seeing female panties. Do I look like a perv?!)

" Shoko…." The boy uttered and suddenly she let go of his collar.

"From what I witness today you will be stuck with me in the library all day without any excuses. Got it ?" She raises an eyebrow.

(Geez. I would rather get punched by her than this punishment. Although I can counter her hit I would never lay hands on her even though I'm stronger than her.)

"Okay.." Gabi didn't want to reject this, he wanted this to be over as soon as possible.

6 hours later

Shoko was not lying when she said they would be in the library all day Gabi was indeed bored out of his mind he wanted to escape from this hell.

( I want to go back to Higanbana place instead of sitting here all day. I'm surrounded by books and nothing but books, where are the curses? Where can I train? I would more willingly get beat up into a pulp than stay any longer. I'M LOSING MY MIND!)

"Gabimaru.." Shoko called out to the boy who was trapped in his thinking.

Gabi lifted his head as soon as he heard her voice, "Yes," The boy had hope that they would leave this place and luck was finally on the boy's side.

" You can go now," She dismisses him.

Gabi jumped up from his seat causing the books around him to fall on the ground, "Okay. Bye-bye, Shoko." Gabi quickly picked up the books off the floor and placed them on the table and when he was finished he still saw the girl sitting on the table peacefully reading her books.

( why is she still sitting here? Isn't she going to go back to her room? )

Despite the fact Gabi wanted to leave ever since he got here he still can't help but ask the girl. " You're not leaving? it's late Shoko"

The girl shook her head to answer his question, "It's not good to overwork yourself. You always study to gain more information on the human body for your technique."

Shoko smiled at him, being fond of how he was concerned for her well-being. " Even if I'm in the room I will be doing the same thing and since there's nothing else better to do I will study."

( I hate this part of myself.)

Gabi went to her and sat down next to her, " You look half tired already just continue your study and when you finally fall asleep I will bring you to your room." Gabi relaxed on the chair closing his eyes for some zizz and a red color took over Shoko's face adoring this side of him. As Shoko was admiring Gabi, there was a being looking at both of them bitter at the sight.

When Gabi went into Snoozeville he soon woke up due to laughter, he opened his eyes and saw Kitsune making jokes like she was a stand-up comic.

(What's going on?)

When he finally opened his eyes to scan around the room he realized he was with his curses. " Master" Kitsune held in her laughter, " Master, how were the panties?" She burst out laughing, causing the rest to join her besides Higanbana and Raijin. Even Jorogumo betrayed him and joined in with the rest.

( PPsh, it will always be your own people.)

" Whatever, can I please get some rest today has been a stressful day for me." Gabi gave a nasty attitude to them.

" At least you have seen a woman's sacred possession not many can say that," Jorogumo added on.

Gabi's eyebrows twitch in aggravation, " Shut up, you spider."

Jorogumo gasped hearing him call her a mere insect, " You have no respect for women, Gabi."

" Don't care, " He returned a reply to her.

As Gabi was about to lay down Higanbana went to him disturbing his rest time. " I see you are not only disrespectful but also a womanizer," She sat down next to him to get comfortable.

( Here we go again. What women have I done the deed to begin with?)

The white hair boy sucked his teeth hearing her statement, " Oh really?"

Higanbana chuckled at his silly antics, "What are you going to do with Makima? After she somewhat confessed her feelings for you, what are you planning to do?"

Gabi shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know. Why are you asking me for ?"

Her red orbs gaze into his blue orbs, " Because you should do something. It's wrong to leave a woman hanging after she confessed. It's bad karma."

( Tuh, bad karma my ass. How am I supposed to know how I feel when I never experienced this before? All my life people had been looking down on me and never given me a second thought besides Ms.Bushida. I don't know how to express my feelings because I don't understand them. How on earth can I tell her I might like her too? It will sound like I'm choking on something trying to tell her that sentence.)

" She told me crystal clear that I ruined her life just because she fell for me now. Why would I even engage her with this? I'm just asking for more trouble." He spoke truthfully to the woman.

Higanbana sighs at his response, " Love can do a lot of things to a person, even change their minds."

( Love? Where does she get love from? Is she losing her brain cells?)

" Don't push it anyways why are you so focused on this? Aren't you the one who told me I have to get stronger so wouldn't dating someone be in the way of that?" He questioned her motives.

Higanbana fanned herself with a handheld fan. " You will get stronger my sweet Gabi I don't have to worry about that anymore."

( Mhm, why she is sure about that?)

" But let's just say you become the strongest sorcerer then what else is there left for you to do? It's okay to do other stuff as you achieve your main goal," She faced the stubborn boy "Go for it and savor every second of it because who knows what might happen," She gave him a sweet smile but for some odd reason Gabi doesn't feel any joy coming from her smile it was the complete opposite.

" You should wake up now in your physical body because it's late. You have to bring Shoko back to her room to keep your word," She hurried the boy back.

Once Gabi closed his eyes he woke up back in the library and he saw Shoko's head on the table creating light snores. Gabi stood up and slang Shoko over his shoulder to take her to her dorm. When he arrived in the girl's dorm rooms he laid the sleeping girl in her bed and pulled the covers over her body to make sure she was warm.

" Goodnight, Shoko." He whispered to her and left the room.

As soon as Gabi walked out he met eyes with a red/yellow swirly eye staring him down in front of Shoko's room.

(Makima?)

" I see you two are getting chummy with each other," She says with a stoic expression.

( I can never tell what she's actually thinking, plus she basically yelled at me earlier and now she is speaking to me normally again. I really don't understand people, especially the female species.)

" We are friends. Where are …"

" Friends? It's late at night and you are leaving her room. It doesn't look like a friendship to me." she cut him off.

Gabi raised his brow, "From what I watch in the series what your dad looks at, friends can have sleepovers." He defended himself.

" Oh? But it's not appropriate for a boy and a girl to be in the same room together, " She fired back with the still plain emotion attached to her face. It feels like he's talking to an AI robot.

( What's with her?)

" Okay and? We are friends, nothing more or nothing less. What's your problem, Makima?" He questioned her strange behavior.

The red-haired girl sucked her teeth and began to walk away from him.

( Not so fast.)

He gripped her forearm making her stop in her footsteps, she turned her body around getting ready to snap on the white hair boy but stood still in front of his face becoming flabbergasted in his actions. Her eyes went flying open not able to stay anything, having her mouth agape.

" Speak your mind Makima. I don't understand you at all. Just beforehand you screamed at me now you are acting like your normal self but extra weirder than your usual self. What's with you? Can you please elaborate on me?" he loosened his grip and the girl still stayed there.

" Please…" he asks again.

Makima averted her eyes from his orbs, "I don't know how to express myself properly."

( No shit Sherlock. I can't either but look where we are.)

"I can't accept this. Falling deeper for you will just cause drama for us… for me." She softly said.

( Drama?)

" Explain? What drama?" 

She sighs, " Not here," She holds his hand and guides him behind the school grounds to make sure they won't be spotted and the whole time they were leaving the school grounds their hands didn't let go of each other. When they made it to the busy streets of Tokyo walking around looking at the bright shiny streetlights.

( I thought she was going to take us somewhere secretive but I guess wrong.)

" I never once had anything sweet in my life I know it's around 10 pm but I suppose some cafes are open," Her gaze her soft eyes into his," Can you recommend anything that I might enjoy."

(Not Makima wanting something sweet. She used to criticize me whenever I put junk food inside my mouth.)

" You might like green tea mochi since you enjoy drinking matcha tea," he suggests.

She hummed at him and walked into the cafe and ordered a bunch of desserts such as different flavors of mochi, dango, cheesecake, and teriyaki, and brought green tea to wash it down. The two sat down in a booth and Gabi watched Makima's expression as she tried different desserts and enjoyed each one of them, he smiled when he saw her mouth was stuffed with food.

( She looks like a chipmunk storing food in her cheeks. )

As she was finished she wiped her mouth and she looked satisfied with what she had eaten, " I see why you eat this type of food every day but it's still not healthy."

Gabi giggled at her reaction, " Well, is that all you wanted to do?"

The quiet girl slid up from the booth and grabbed his hand to take him somewhere else and she brought him to a 24-hour arcade place.

( What are we doing here? This doesn't even seem like a place where Makima would step in.)

She pointed at a claw machine, " I want a prize Gabimaru. " She finally spoke up.

( Huh?! What makes her think I know how to play this game? I have never been here before!)

Gabi stood there looking uneasy not knowing what to do, Makima studied his facial expression to see why he wouldn't speak and it finally hit her, " You never been here before either? " She showed an amusing look.

( Don't give me that face you devil.)

Gabi looked the other way and that answered her question. She grabbed his arm and took him in front to pop the balloons to earn a prize.

" Are you trying to test me to see who has the better aim?" He playfully raised his eyebrow at the girl.

She shrugged her shoulders, " Doesn't matter if your aim is better than mine I will win regardless."

( Let's see.)

As Gabi positioned himself holding the pin and getting ready to pop the 10 balloons Makima was talking to the guy behind the stand although Gabi couldn't hear what they were talking about, the guy was falling in love with Makima and basically drooling over her.

( What's his problem?)

For some unknown reason, Gabi was getting irritated seeing the sight of them two together. "Tsk," He sucked his teeth and threw pin after pin to hit all 10 of his targets to win his prize.

( As expected.)

Gabi was waiting for his stuffed bear but the guy who was talking to Makima gave it to her instead of him.

" Here is your prize beautiful. You are amazing." The man kept gawking at the red haired girl.

( what the fuck?! That's… that's my bear.)

Gabi stood there not understanding what was happening on the other hand Makima grabbed the bear and gave the man a passionless, monotone expression, "You are dismissed." She voiced and suddenly he went back to the stand like nothing happened.

( Wait? Is this her technique? It looks like she was able to control him. I remember what she said today. )

Flashback

Makima places her hands on her forehead trying to rub the headache that's coming her way, "Because that's not how my abilities work. I have to feel superior for it to work and I can't do that when you are here with me. I can't do anything besides fight with my bare hands." She frustratedly explained, " You make me weak." She quietly whispered.

Flashback ended

( If her abilities are actually to control someone that means she is unable to control me like her mere puppet because her liking me is blocking her from doing it. Mhmm, that explains Toji she had to speak with him before I passed out for her to use him but since he's dead does that mean she can control people who are no longer on earth? How strong is this technique?)

As Gabi was in his thoughts Makima walked up to him with a smug look, " I told you. I always win." she wrapped the bear underneath her arm.

( I will let this slide since she looks happy.)

The two walked out of the arcade and went to an open park to sit down and look at the view in the sky. " Let's talk now." She opened the conversation.

"Sure, why did you take me out of the school grounds? What's the point in all of this ?" He wanted to get down to the point.

Makima lightly patted the stuffed animal's head, " I wanted to know what it means to be human. "

Gabi looked at the girl, being confused by what she meant, " Huh? What are you talking about? You are a human being?"

She sighs at him, " I know that but I don't quite understand emotions, I don't understand anything really besides jujutsu. That's why I took us to those places where teenagers around our age go. I wanted to experience something outside the sorcerer's world with you." she looks at him with soft eyes, the eyes she never showed anybody but him ." With someone I feel comfortable with."

Gabi turned away since his nerves took over him.

( What does it mean to be human? Well, Makima I have no clue. I do what I want to do since all my life I was forced to be shunned away. Awakening my powers was a blessing and a curse because I killed someone with my bare hands. Also, it was the first time I was able to be free. Although I have to hide my powers I still never felt this free before when I was stuck in the residence to make sure I don't tarnish the Gojo name anymore but since I was kicked out I can walk anywhere and just live life and my brother and I relationship is better compared to before, at least we have somewhat conversation now and I don't hate him as much anymore. I guess I'm in a good place right now.)

"Makima you're weird but I feel the same way. I always feel at ease with you even if I don't know what runs through your mind" he responded to the girl.

The cool breeze was blowing through and their hair was flowing in the rhythm of the wind Makima scooted closer to Gabi to be in his presence and when she was under him she called out his name.

" Hey Gabimaru…" She softly said.

He turned to her and looked down at the red haired girl, " Yes Maki…" Before he was finished Makima lifted her head and kissed him on the lips. The kiss itself felt like energy was surging through both of their bodies, he didn't back away nor did Makima. The kiss was passionate and shared a lot of feelings without saying words. Even though both never told one or the other how deeply they feel for each other they just knew. Once they slowly backed away to get some oxygen in their body they looked at each other with warmth in their eyes, Makima slowly looking away from his gaze.

" I wasn't supposed to do that but I couldn't stop it either. Nobody can know about this." She uttered.

"Okay deal." Gabi faced the view that's above him.

" You can't hang out with Shoko in her dorm room again." She added.

Gabi looked at her with a puzzled look, " I told you. We are friends."

Makima got up from the bench and started to walk away. " I said what I said."

Gabi was following her lead, " You don't own me Makima and we are not even dating so.."

The girl turned around to face Gabi. "Who said we aren't dating? We kissed it and made it official."

( Is she for real?)

" Dating is about consent and nobody popped up the question about this being a relationship and you just said you don't want nobody to find out about the kiss," He argued back with the girl.

Makima glared at him," I don't want anyone to find out because my mother cannot know about this. Once news spreads she will know about our relationship. "

Gabi was dumbstruck by what she said, " What does your mother have to do with this?"

She let out a frustrated sigh, " She doesn't want me involved with any one of the Gojo clan since your clan took our clan spot and she doesn't want me dating anyway."

" You know I've been kicked out, right?"

" She doesn't care, you have Gojo blood running through your veins."

( Damn. People are holding grudges to a whole new level.)

" So this… we are…dating?" he hesitantly asks.

Makima averted her eyes from his, " I suppose so…"

The both of them stand there awkwardly doesn't know what to say or do next. This was new to both of them.

(Well I got into a relationship without really trying to be in one.)
