1100 Power Stones = Extra Chapter
------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Hours Later.
The door to a quiet and dim room was opened, the blinds were closed tightly as a stream of sunlight entered through the small gap left between them.
Megumi Fushiguro silently entered the room, his whole body covered with Blood. He shrugged off his Bloodstained Haori as he walked in, folding it in his hands while walking towards the window.
He dropped the article of clothing into his shadow as he reached with both his hands forwards and opened the window widely to allow the sunlight in, revealing a lush and dense green forest.
Moving towards a door to the back of the room, he undressed the rest of his stained clothes as he opened the door to reveal a bathroom. Megumi casually dropped his clothes into his shadow before turning on the sink and beginning to wash his hands.
The water ran Crimson Red, it took a few moments but eventually his hands were completely cleaned. He smiled slightly before washing his face with water, feeling a slight burning sensation near his neck.
He looked at the location where he felt the sensation, a slight grimace covering his face as he saw Marks of Nue's Feathers being Burned into his Skin. Megumi absentmindedly rubbed the Tattoo and sighed before washing his face again.
Megumi closed the faucet, grabbed a towel and began drying his face as he reached a hand into his Shadows. He pulled out a new set of clothes which he put on a moment later before walking back out into the main room.
Silence still dominated the space as the black haired man looked at one thing in particular, there was a Bed in the Corner of the Room with a Woman quietly sleeping in it.
"...Hi Tsumiki." Megumi muttered under his breath, he started to walk towards his sister, the Crimson Curse mark still burning as it did when it had first shown itself.
"Sorry I haven't been able to visit for the past few days, it's been Kinda Crazy – But I think it's Finally Time. I can finally fix my Mistake and Free you."
He reached into his Haori and pulled out a rather large blade from it, it was a Katana with a furred hilt. A Special Grade Cursed Blade that had the Ability to Cut the Soul Directly as long as the User themselves can View the Contours of the Soul – Including that of Inanimate Objects.
It Once Belong to his Father, Toji Fushiguro but fell into the hands of the Zen'in Clan following his Death. And given the fact that none of them could View the Contours of the Soul, it stayed in their Cursed Tool Warehouse collecting Dust for a Decade.
"I borrowed it from Maki, The Soul Split Katana."
Megumi laid the Blade on a table, ready to use it when he could as he then proceeded to pull out nearly a Dozen Books.
'Got Yuki to let me borrow her Research on the Soul, along with taking whatever they had at Jujutsu HQ. I doubt anyone else in the World has this much Knowledge and Information about the Soul concentrated in one place. Barring Kenjaku I guess…' He thought as he laid them all out.
Moving towards a corner of the room, he grabbed a Whiteboard before pulling it near to the table. He wiped it clean of his previous manic scribbles as he began drawing a Full Detailed Diagram of Tsumiki's Soul and how it was connected to Yorozu's.
The Key to Solving this puzzle was locating and then Separating the Cursed Object holding Yorozu's Soul from Tsumiki's body.
It's complicated by needing to find each and every link between the Cursed Object and the base Soul before doing any harm to either of them, you would also need to shatter all the bonds at the same time to minimise any Damage done to the Host.
Thankfully, he had studied all Matters of the Soul harder than one could imagine over the past Year, he was Confident that there might not be another person alive that can Match him in Soul Mastery.
'Especially with this on hand… Literally.' The Lord of Shadows thought as he channelled his Cursed Technique to retrieve a Cursed Tool from his Inventory.
"My Ability to view the Soul so Clearly already lets me interact with it at some level, but what I needed to be able to do so at the level I wanted was a Medium. This Cursed Tool I got from the Jujutsu HQ Warehouse is Perfect for the Job." He muttered as he picked up the Cursed Tool.
They looked like your Average pair of Black Gloves, if not for the overwhelming amounts of Cursed Energy flowing through them and the intricate White designs flowing through them.
Simply and Accurately Called 'The Medium', the Cursed Tool was Special Grade and possessed a Simple yet Powerful Cursed Technique. It simply allowed the user to surpass the Body-Soul Barrier and interact with the Soul directly – Provided one could actually View the Soul in the first place.
"It's not so Much as 'Soul Transfiguration' as it is 'Soul Moulding', I can Interact with the Soul like this but it still doesn't change the fact that the Soul is Fragile and Complex. A Wrong move could do irreparable Damage, but I've tried it a few times on some Losers so it should be fine – I got enough Practice."
The Divine Lord put on the Cursed Pair of gloves, they fit him perfectly as they were designed to do so with any user. With notes in hand and preparations done, he made his way over to his sister's sleeping form.
He removed the covers from her, and observed her Soul with every bit of care and precision imaginable. Locating Yorozu's Core was simple, finding every one of her fragmented tethers took a bit more time but it was still manageable.
It had taken about 5 Minutes to find and be certain, but Megumi Fushiguro had mapped out exactly where each and every connection between the two souls were – He was Ready to begin his Operation.
And yet…
As soon as he reached forwards towards her, he noticed something, the closer he got the harder it was to continue. Looking down at his hands, he realised they were Shaking, Quivering.
He could hardly even dare to try and touch his sister's body. Megumi could hear his heart in his ears, he felt sweat pouring down his face.
Megumi clenched his right arm with his left hand as he tried forcing it to stay still but he simply could not, his body wouldn't let him.
'What.. What the fuck? Why won't my hands be still?'
He stumbled backwards in a haze, crashing into his table and shifting it to the side as a few of the books fell off. Megumi started pacing around the room like a maniac as he tried to call him nerves, only to find nothing helpful.
And it was then that his nerves started turning into rage. Rage at the situation, Rage at Kenjaku for starting it and most of all; Rage at Himself for Failing and Freezing up when the time came to finish the job.
"What… What the fuck is Wrong with me?" He growled, walking up to a nearby wall before letting out his frustrations in a singular punch.
CRASH!
The wall, along with most of the room behind it, were reduced to rubble and dust in an instant. A testament to his overwhelming Strength, so Great it was Sure to annihilate any of his enemies.
But…
"I got this far… I got this Strong… And I can't finish the final stretch because I'm getting cold feet or some shit?!" Megumi cried out in frustration as he laid his back against the wall directly opposing his sister.
"...I dunno what to fucking do. How.. Why am I?"
His melancholic murmur echoed in the room as he slid down the wall until he was eventually sitting on the ground, he looked up to the ceiling in thought for a moment before looking back down at his still shaking hand as his leg began jittering from his nerves.
"…Shoko. She would know, she's always been there whenever I needed her." Megumi muttered under his breath as he reached for his phone, dialling up her number from memory.
The phone rang once, then twice and then it clicked to signal the call being answered.
"Hm? What's up Meg? What do ya need?" Shoko said as soon as the call was accepted, it was obvious that she was doing something else while answering.
He stayed silent for a moment, unsure of what to say or do.
"Megumi?" She asked, seeming way more attentive at the odd silence.
"I.. Shoko, I need your help. I- I dunno what the fuck to do." Megumi confessed through the phone.
"...Where are you?"
"T-Tsumiki's room."
"Stay there and Don't Close the Call. I'll be there in a sec."
Megumi didn't respond, he simply stayed still as he kept looking at his quivering hand with disgust. He could hear the sound of Shoko speaking to someone as she ran, but he simply tuned it out.
Two minutes later the Door to the dark room was swung open at full force, causing the handle to bang against the wall.
Shoko and Maki looked at the messy room, books on the ground with a chair fallen over. And then they laid their eyes on the black haired man sitting with his back against the wall.
One of his legs was jittering up and down as he stared at his still quivering hand with absolute Disgust. It was a sight that Maki could have never even imagined seeing in her whole life, never had he shown this kind of emotion before anyone.
"Shoko I… I don't get it. I did so much, I worked so hard, I studied her Soul so deeply I practically know it better than I know mine!" Megumi rasped with an infuriated tone.
"And yet… I can't even bring myself to take the final step! W-What the fuck is wrong with me? Why can't I do the one thing I've been working towards for so long?! Why won't my hands stop shaking? …Why am I so Scared?"
Silence took over the entire room as both women digested the black haired man's rambling, with the stronger between them being utterly taken aback and speechless at the confession.
Shoko Ieiri did not share in that befuddlement.
The Brown haired woman chuckled softly, she walked towards the sitting form of her little brother and crouched down in front of him to try to look him in the eyes before she spoke again.
"You boys are always like this when it comes to feelings, I swear.. I guess no matter how strong you become, no matter how many Impossible Odds you beat – It always comes back to this." She said with a small sad yet nostalgic smile.
"W-What?" Megumi asked weakly, looking up slightly from his hands.
"It's Love Silly. You're Scared because you Care, and No Matter How Strong you Become – You Can't Stop yourself from Caring, it's Only Human."
Shoko reached a hand forwards and placed it at his forehead, she then moved it upwards to move his hair from his face. Warm Brown eyes met with Goldish Crimson orbs as she continued speaking.
"I think Satoru said it best once before; 'Love is The Most Twisted Curse of All'. No matter what, it'll Always Hold onto you. The Only Thing That's Left for you Now, is to Choose to Accept it."
She then grinned cheekily as she moved her hand from his hair and curled her fingers into a loose fist, with the middle finger held back by the thumb. She then released her finger, allowing her middle finger to snap ahead and smack his forehead.
Thud!
It was a simple and playful gesture, one preceded by a heartfelt speech from the bottom of her Heart. But Shoko Ieiri had Achieved her Goal Perfectly.
Because it was then that Megumi Fushiguro finally understood the Truth.
Godhood Alone Was Worthless.
If He Was to Become A True God, It Would Have to be with Help of his Comrades.
It Would be Through Temperance, not Arrogance, that he would Create his New World.
For What is a God Without Love for His People?
"I guess I still have a lot to learn…" He muttered under his breath as he closed his eyes, it was the one thing he had Failed to Learn from his Good Friend Itadori Yuji.
Compassion.
A Compassion he had thought he Abandoned on his Ascension when facing the King of Curses, but it was when he was faced with the One Thing he Loved and Cared for beyond everything else that it was all Clear to him.
"Love Is Truly The Most Twisted Curse Of All."
The One to Teach Megumi Fushiguro about Love was Not Satoru Gojo or Ryomen Sukuna, it was his still yet to be Awakened Sister Tsumiki Fushiguro and Shoko Ieiri.
So If he Was to Be The Strongest – He Must Be Better.
As To Be The Strongest, To Achieve Godhood…
Both Were Utterly Worthless If You Stood Alone At The Top.
"I… I see. Thanks Shoko…" Megumi muttered, his hands had finally stopped quivering for the first time since he had tried to begin his operation.
"Good. Now show me what you were planning to do, let us help you." Shoko encouraged as she stood up and offered him a hand, another hand coming right beside hers offered by Maki who looked away with some heat on her cheeks.
"Yeah come on Dumbass, let's save Tsumiki."
The black haired man stared at the two hands for a few seconds before chuckling, he grasped their hands and allowed them to pull him up.
"Thanks you two." He said as he walked over to the whiteboard and pulled it over to show the two of them what he had found and studied.
This went on for the next 10 Minutes with at the end Shoko had grasped most of everything he had explained and Maki had the expression of someone who had just eaten a lemon.
"Hm.. Yeah, that makes sense."
"Yeah.. No. That all flew over my head, just tell me what you need me to do and I'll do it."
Megumi chuckled slightly at that before walking back towards Tsumiki as he spoke again.
"Yeah, don't worry. It's simple. I'll do most of the work, I'll just need you at the end." He explained as he observed his sister's Soul again and located all of Yorozu's Tethers.
"And I'll make sure any damage that does happen doesn't stay permanent. Start when you're ready." Shoko said, walking to be right beside him and waited for him to begin.
The Lord of Shadows breathed in deeply before letting go of his breath, his eyes steeled as he looked at his gloved hands. They still shook somewhat, but it was much lighter now – Manageable.
And so he delved in, his Cursed Tool clad hands entered into the gap between Soul and Body.
He had immediately went for the first and largest of the 10 Tethers which was connected to her Brain, presumably so it could Influence it and Transfigure it enough to engrave Yorozu's Cursed Technique upon it.
The tether was soft and malleable, as if he was moulding clay but at the same time it was fragile. A wrong move would cause a tear that would undoubtedly do immense damage to the Host.
3 Minutes later, he had untangled the Tether from its brethren and moved it to the side where it would be out of the way. He moved on to the next one, this time with slightly more confidence due to his previous success.
It took him only 2 minutes to untangle and separate the second tether, this one was connected to Tsumiki's Heart.
And so he continued onwards, getting faster and more efficient with each tether while being guided through the process by Shoko all the while Maki was observing everything quietly.
"There, the Tethers are all untangled and separated. Now it's time for the Core." Megumi sighed in relief, reaching his right hand out to wipe away the sweat pouring down his forehead like a waterfall.
"Good, you've done perfectly so far. Keep up the momentum." Shoko affirmed gently, feeling an odd sense of pride at him somehow picking up some kind of surgical skills from her. Perhaps her greatness was understated but grand?
"So what happens after the Core is separated?" Maki asked, wanting confirmation.
"After that, it's time to complete the severing of both their Souls. That's where you and the Soul Splitting Katana come in." The Divine Lord explained as he delved back in, making his way towards the core slowly and with care as it would be the more sensitive and fragile part after all.
The Core holding Yorozu's Soul was a Cursed Object – It had the shape of what looked to be a shrivelled and crystalised Heart, if his eyes were to be believed.
What he held in his Heart was Trust. Trust in Another Person. In Another Human.
'Human, huh?' He thought as his hands started wrapping around the Cursed Heart softly, preparing to pull it away from the rest of Tsumiki's soul.
Maybe he would be both a God and a Human?
Was it even Possible to be Both?
Megumi Fushiguro was unsure, but that didn't Matter. He Had an Eternity to Decide After All.
A few seconds later, the Cursed Heart was separated from the Body. The Tethers connecting it were also aligned together perfectly side by side, all it would take is a single swing to sever them all at the same time.
"Alright, you're up Maki. I'll tell you when you can swing, unfortunately we're gonna need to be both ready to heal Tsumiki's body from the damage done to it by both the Cut and the Severing of the Tethers." The Shade Lord elaborated as he removed his arms from the gap and stepped away.
"Seriously? Shit…" Maki sighed as she grasped the Soul Split Katana, she was more than happy to help but that doesn't mean she wasn't nervous to have the most dangerous task thrown upon her.
"Yeah, sorry. But you're the only one I can trust with this, even more than I trust myself with it to be honest…" Megumi muttered with some embarrassment, making his way towards the side of Tsumiki's body where the cut would be made.
"Incarnation: Tranquil Deer."
Maki grasped the Soul Split Katana in her hand and looked towards Shoko and Megumi, they looked back at her for a moment before nodding as the black haired man began his countdown.
"On 3 got it? Okay.. 1.. 2… 3!"
The Black haired woman swung her cursed blade, blood spurted through the air as all of the Tethers between Tsumiki's Soul and Yorozu's Core were severed simultaneously.
Positive Energy immediately flooded into Tsumiki's body as it began to be restored, Megumi's right hand shot ahead like a viper and grasped the Cursed Object and pulled it out of his sister's body right after it was finished being put back together.
For a moment there was silence, they all watched on as the Crimson ever burning Curse Mark upon Tsumiki's forehead began to flicker in and out before completely fading away.
The Operation was a Success, Tsumiki Fushiguro is Free.
They all stared at the Crystalised Heart within Megumi's grasp, it was a Pure White colour. It was almost Ironic that such a Cursed Object that held the Soul of a Demonic Sorcerer from a millenia ago looked so beautiful and pure.
Megumi passively handed it to Shoko who held it with both her hands, her disdain was completely evident in the look in her eyes as she then channelled her newly gained nigh Godly Reverse Cursed Technique.
The white heart quivered and shook as it was slowly burned away, letting out a small hiss as it was reduced to ashes.
"Heh.. Y'know, it's too bad we couldn't just do this to Sukuna's Fingers. They're on a different level for this Cursed Object and are completely unaffected by any Positive Energy – Only reason this worked here is cuz this Soul was Unprotected and Vulnerable from being forcefully Severed."
Shoko sighed as she explained, casually stepping back and going towards the window, she was followed by Maki who sat next to her on a nearby couch with a small grunt. Megumi couldn't bring himself to sit down so he just paced around the room like a madman.
The brown haired woman opened the window and pulled out a cigarette, lit it and took a breath in to pass the time. She eventually smirked knowingly, waving casually at a trio of very conspicuous bushes that stood alone in the middle of a clearing.
The bushes waved back a few seconds later, before they shifted away to reveal 3 figures escaping from it. Nobara Kugisaki, Yuji Itadori and Satoru Gojo waved to her before going back to hide and snoop into the room as they did for the past few minutes.
"Is this such a good idea guys? Seems kinda personal for Megumi, maybe we shouldn't spy on him when he doesn't want us to…" Yuji muttered quietly to Nobara who was looking into the room with small binoculars.
"Shhhh! Maybe not, but this is too interesting to not snoop into! He never tells us anything about his sister, he always deflects or avoids it." She shushed as she kept looking, only to have the binoculars stolen by the white haired man beside her.
"You've had enough time to look, gimme!" Satoru ordered, looking into the room with his spy glasses.
Megumi's manic pacing paused when his ears picked up on a soft rustling sound from his sister's bed, he turned to face it so fast he became a blur.
Tsumiki's body shifted absentmindedly, her eyelids twitching slightly. Megumi blurred ahead with more speed and desperation than he had ever felt in his life, he stopped near her bed and simply watched on with his breath stuck in his throat.
The black haired woman grunted slightly as her eyes blinked open, she turned to the blurry figure looking at her with some confusion. She pulled herself up slightly while rubbing her eyes to remove any built up gunk, she had the expression of someone trying to understand or recognise something.
Megumi couldn't even breath, his heart was beating in his ears – What if he had changed so much from his Perma-Mutations she couldn't even recognise him anymore?
Megumi Fushiguro began Hyperventilating.
What if he fucked up somehow? Had he messed up and caused her Brain Damage? What if she Hated him for-
Tsumiki Fushiguro yawned with fatigue as she looked at the man beside her, tilting her head to the side before speaking with a slightly hoarse voice.
"...Megumi?"
She flinched as her brother shot forwards and hugged her, he clutched onto her as if she would dissolve into dust within his hands and blow away. And despite that, he still handled her with care one would take with a Newborn Baby or a Treasured Family Heirloom.
"Are.. Are you okay?" Tsumiki asked, confused as the last thing she remembered was going to sleep and then waking up here.
She looked up from her brother and looked around at her surroundings, finding Shoko to be standing over the two of them with a Proud and Happy grin. Maki stood next to her with a somewhat uncomfortable expression, she vaguely recognised her as the girl who was with the Zen'in Clan Head long ago.
Looking back down at her brother's body, finding it to be trembling slightly. It too had grown from what she remembered, his hair was longer and different. Not to mention the Tattoo looking marks on his body, she then realised what had to have happened.
"...I see. I've Been Out for a While, Haven't I?" Tsumiki muttered as she reached a hand up to run it through Megumi's hair, she felt him flinch slightly when she touched his head but allowed it a moment later.
Tsumiki looked up to Shoko with an expression that asked how long she had been out, prompting Shoko to mouth "A little more than a Year."
The black haired woman's eyes widened with shock, even more so when she felt something staining her clothes. Megumi's body trembled even harder as she recognised what it was that wet her clothes – They Were Tears.
"I've… I've never seen him like this before…" Yuji mumbled under his breath as Nobara stole the binoculars from his eyes to look before turning to ask the white haired man beside her.
"What about you, Gojo-sensei? Have you?"
"I…" Satoru found himself nearly speechless, it was something he had never seen before in his life. He spoke honestly with a sombre tone a few moments later.
"...I've Known him since he was 4 Years Old. I.. I don't Think I've ever seen him Actually Cry Before…"
Tsumiki smiled softly at her brother, rubbing his head lovingly before apologising to him.
"It Must've Been Hard, Megumi. I'm Sorry for Leaving you Alone for so long."
Megumi Fushiguro's body began to quiver with emotions as she felt his tears wetting her shirt, she pulled him closer to her into a hug before continuing to console him.
"It's Alright. I am Here. You can let it all out."
Tsumiki Fushiguro patted her brother's body as he began bawling his eyes out like a child, filling the quiet room with his voice.
'Maybe.. Just Maybe… It would be Alright to be a Normal Human for once…'
