Liu Sisi lowered her eyes and softly replied, "I understand."
It was best not to tell him about these worrisome matters for now.
Di Yelei, when he was sick, was just like a kid. He would fall into a deep sleep after just a few words and was particularly clingy, always looking for her when he opened his eyes.
Liu Sisi had attempted to leave once, but he woke up before she even reached the doorway.
"Sisi?"
"You sleep, I'm just going to get some things."
"You come up too, sleep with me," Di Yelei shook his head, insisting on his opinion. That way, he wouldn't have to worry about waking up and not seeing her.
Clearly, the events from before had frightened him, leaving him without a sense of security.
"Alright, I'll stay with you. You sleep too," she said.
Liu Sisi took off her shoes and climbed into bed, snuggling up to him as she lay down.
Worried about touching his wounds, she slept a bit away from him, but he reached out and pulled her into his arms.
