Walking the path of being invincible

Clara walked towards the orb with slow footsteps. Everyone could see that she was a little nervous. Her red hair, along with her red eyes, gives her a devilish persona. But surprisingly, it does not seem to contradict her shyness and nervousness. Truthfully, it gives her an odd allure.

As Alex and Clara were the last participants, the ones who were exhausted throughout the ceremony started paying attention again. That was the main reason for her anxiety. After some time, Clara finally reached the orb and put her hand on it. Although it was a short distance, it felt like a mile for her.

Orb gave off a slight glow as usual and displayed her results on the screen. Everyone had their mouths wide open after seeing the results. Her powers were:

She is a holder of three abilities. Everyone was excited, and loud gasps could be heard after the abilities were displayed. She will be later known as Fire-Valkyrie.

Alex was also surprised to see the results. Who could've thought that Tomboy would get such extraordinary powers? But he was happy that she had gained the chance to turn her life around. He could also see the university officials itching to enroll her in their academy as soon as possible.

From what Alex gathered, only a rare handful of people had more than 2 abilities. So their excitement of them is not surprising. After the fuss died down, it was Alex's turn to awaken. He was thrilled about what the future had in store for him.

With much fever, he started walking towards the orb with a nervous smile. He even forgot to congratulate Clara, which earned him another pinch from her.

"Good luck Alex. Your advice worked," Clara said with a smile.

"Thanks, Clara. Now no going back on looking after me, okay?"

Alex couldn't let go of the chance to tease her. Clara had little to no resistance against teasing, which led to her running away from Alex.

When he finally reached the orb, he was pretty excited. (I realized that I hadn't explained what Alex looks like. Imagine him having raven hair and reddish eyes)

After putting his hand in the orb, he felt like his soul was leaving his body. (Imagine like in doctor strange) He was scared shitless, and it was not something that should occur during the awakening, from what he figured. While he was panicking, he heard a voice calling him from behind. Alex slowly looked behind him, only to see an entity in the shape of an eye. When he peered in, it felt like he was being swallowed. He felt like a bug in front of it.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you."

The eye spoke suddenly, which startled Alex out of his reverie.

"Who are you? Where am I? What do you want? Are you a god?"

Alex started putting out questions like there was no tomorrow.

"Calm down. I am Alpha and Omega. We are one and not at the same time. We are the forces responsible for maintaining the balance of the world."

"I am Alex. So are you my force?"

"Yes, I am, Alex. You can refer to me as Alpha."

"But why would you choose me? An insignificant person like me?"

"Child, your soul is unique. Even we, the Alpha and Omega, have never seen something like it. As you can imagine, with our power, no soul can bear our energies. So we could never find anyone to fuse with throughout the multiverse. But finally, we found you, the perfect vessel."

"Are you sure I will not die after fusing with you?"

"Well, the probability is quite low but not impossible."

"urr okay. Could you tell me what abilities I gain by fusing with you?"

"Think of any power you want, child; that will be yours. There will be no limit to what you can do, as we are the beginning and the end of everything."

"Alpha, can you change the result on the holographic screen to something else?"

"What do you want me to change it into? Not that it could give any qualitative measurement to my power, even if you wanted me not to change the results."

Alex felt like his head was splitting, and his body was burning. No, it was not his body but his soul. He cursed Alpha for not telling him such an important thing. He was not even mentally prepared for such pain. I mean, who would?

After what felt like an eternity for Alex, the pain abruptly ended. When he looked around, he understood that he had returned to his body, and in the projection, his skill was displayed as

"I didn't even have a chance to curse Alpha for not informing me beforehand." Alex thought to himself.

If it were another person who had gone through the torture, he would've died a million times over, and Alex undoubtedly knew that only because of his unique soul he could bear such pain.

Suddenly, Alex felt a power course through him. He felt like a god. It was like he knew everything and anything. He felt drunk on this power. He clearly knew that if he wished for something, it would happen. But Alex immediately deactivated his power except for the [[[ Energy constructs ]]] as it was neither time nor place to experiment with his power.

Alex struggled to put his feelings into words. He was genuinely excited about what his new life had to offer and the adventures that awaited him.
