Hearing about this made Grandmaster excited because if JoyBoy was successful, then it would completely change the direction of this world. He then asked JoyBoy what he needed from him to which he politely replied

"Teacher I don't know what will happen when I go through my next cultivation session. If what I am sensing is true then maybe I could go through some big changes or something big might happen in my surroundings.

Honestly I don't know and that's why I am hoping that you and brother San, the two people I trust the most in this world will look over me when I go through this ordeal. Also if you have a secure place in mind where I can complete this process that would be better."

Hearing this made Grandmaster feel emotional and greatly warmed his heart. They waited for some time before Tang San also arrived there for the daily instructions from Grandmaster. He told him that his room was good enough for this and no one would disturb him.

After Tang San arrived, JoyBoy explained his situation to him before repeating the same lines he said to Grandmaster. Hearing this made him happy that JoyBoy won't have to give up on cultivation because of not wanting to kill the spirit beasts but also worried that something may go wrong during the process.

After their discussion was over, JoyBoy sat down and calmed his mind. He summoned his martial spirit and started cultivating while Tang San and Grandmaster observed from a corner of the room.

They noticed that the red Gem on his Gauntlet started glowing and the intensity of its glow kept increasing. After some time the intensity was so high that the entire room was covered in a red light and they had to cover their eyes.

While this was happening, JoyBoy was feeling a weird sensation. He felt like he already had a full stomach but still continued eating. Even after feeling like this, he didn't stop cultivating while trying to communicate with the Power Gem mentally

"Come on buddy, I know you can do it. You are the power itself! No stupid planar law should be able to stop us from moving forward. I am not giving up on you so don't give up on me."

He tried to communicate with his martial spirit like this because when he saw Grandmaster's martial spirit and saw that it had its own sentience he thought that maybe his martial spirit could also have its own sentience.

While this was happening, what no one noticed because of the bright red light was that red lines started appearing on JoyBoy's body which looked like cracks and started spreading throughout the body.

This continued for about five minutes before the intensity of the glow started decreasing and the Gem stopped glowing.

When Tang San and Grandmaster saw JoyBoy and noticed the red cracks throughout his body, they were stunned. They didn't know how to handle this situation and were worried that JoyBoy's body may end up exploding because of too much spirit power.

Just when they were wondering about how they could help him, they noticed that all the red cracks in his body suddenly vanished as if they were never there to begin with. After that happened, they saw him open his eyes.

While cultivating, JoyBoy was a little worried about what was going to happen but still kept going keeping full faith in himself and his martial spirit. While he was feeling full in the beginning of the process, the feeling kept increasing until he felt like he was about to burst from overeating.

It was a good thing that his eyes were closed during his cultivation, otherwise seeing the red cracks appear on his skin would have scared him.

Just when he thought that he was about to explode because of that feeling, it suddenly vanished. After that information suddenly appeared in his mind about his success and his spirit ring.

From the information, he realized just how difficult it would be for a normal soul master to follow the same path as him. To get a spirit ring without killing spirit beasts, one would have to cultivate the same amount of spirit power as a spirit beast of same age.

This means that if someone wants to get a 1000 year spirit ring, he or she would have to cultivate spirit power equivalent to a 1000 year spirit beast after they reach a bottleneck.

"Ugh, this is going to be a headache. Luckily I have the Power Gem as my martial spirit otherwise I would also have to kill spirit beasts for their rings. It's unfortunate that I can only tap into the Power Gem for cultivation and not directly use it until I reach spirit sage level which is 7 rings."

What JoyBoy didn't know was that because of the blessings he had received from the Infinity Gems, his martial spirit had undergone variation.

As his martial spirit, the Power Gem had gained some form of sentience. It was able to understand his thoughts and feel his emotions.

When he previously thought that he might have to give up on cultivation because it might not be able to produce a spirit ring on its own, it was upset and felt dissatisfied.

As a source of all power and energy in the universe, why would it need a measly spirit beast for a spirit ring. Of course even after cultivating sufficient spirit power, one will not be able to gain a spirit ring because of the planar laws.

Even the Power Gem would not be able to do anything about it and need to rely on spirit beasts for spirit rings.

It was only because of the blessing from the Reality Gem, the Power Gem was able to bypass the restrictions placed on the humans and create a spirit ring. Even it didn't realize this!

Of course, the variation in his martial soul has just begun and in the future after it undergoes evolution, it will become even more frightening.

JoyBoy had no idea that his martial spirit was sentient just like Grandmaster's and could have easily supplied him enough spirit power to create his spirit ring but didn't do so because it was upset with him.

The only reason he was able to get his first ring so quickly was because after witnessing his determination and feeling his faith on himself and itself, the Power Gem was moved and decided that it was about time to help him with his spirit ring and send this information to him.

Otherwise, at the rate he was cultivating, even with him directly absorbing purest spirit power from the Power Gem, it would have taken him atleast two years to get his first spirit ring.
