Goblin settlement And First Summon

When Shin was moving much deeper into the forest following the traces of the goblins, he started to find large groups of goblins scouting around. These goblins came in different variations too. Shin observed them carefully, he detected some of the goblins having power to wield magic. It was leading the scout groups which also consisted of goblin warriors with proper weaponry in their hands.

'Hmmm I think this goblin village I am searching for is much bigger than I previously thought if they can send out goblin warriors and mages as mere scouts.' After looking around Shin climbed a tree and started to jump across the group of goblins using branches as stepping stones. 'Also the number is greater than any of the my predictions this cows very well could count up to 500 in number'.

After thinking for a bit, 'I should not engage, at least not before knowing information about the strength and number of goblins in the village.' Then he continued to move through the trees, this time even most silently than before. During the journey he started to see even more groups lying around in the settlements. 'Rather than calling this a goblin village, I should call it a goblin town, being filled with so many goblins.'

Shin said with a grateful look, "thank God I didn't directly engage, even though I wanted to come out this is not something I can take without proper planning and preparation. I should go and find out the leaders of this town and then go back and start preparing." After moving, to and fro, here and there, he came across multiple hobgoblins, goblinas, goblin warriors, goblin mages, goblin assassins, goblin lords, etc.

Shin observed all of this with a chill running down his spine 'oh my God, this is going to be hard, most of these are level one with goblin lords being level 2, I at least saw 10 goblin lords, then there could be a goblin king probably be a Level 3.' As if confirming his theory, a huge green colored humanoid creature about 5 m large with a lot of fat royal looking clothes came into view. It was intelligent and it was discussing something with the 3 of the goblin Lords.

After discussing it started moving away but it's suddenly sensed something and moved its head towards shin's direction. 'Oh, crap did it sense me.' Shin started to try hiding even more, even holding back his breath, not making the slightest move as he watched the goblin king's eye squint in confusion, then it turned away and slowly move out of the gathering.

Shin watched very carefully until the goblin king completely left. "Fuuuuu…. , that was close fortunately it didn't sensed me or I would be dead." Shin slowly jumped from one tree to another one and kept himself hidden, he went out of the town and reach the place where he buried his first kills.

I think I should make my first summon, before trying to fight this town of goblins. So he took out the corpses from the hole and let them on the ground. He also took out the cores that he had gathered from the killing the goblins. 'I should start experimenting on the ways I can make summons. So there are multiple theories I have in mind which I want to test.'

Shin separated the cores and corpses in different groups and finally took out 2 cores, placed them on the ground and stretched his hands and called "SHADOW CREATION". Immediately wisps of shadows came out and floated above the cores. Shin commanded "FUSE" then immediately a change happened. The 2 wisps of shadows converged into one, forming into a bigger wisp, which started transforming into a humanoid figure but it flickered and did not take complete form.

Then Shin asked his system "what is happening?" [The user would have to place a corpse of monster similar to the monsters from which the cores have been taken from. This requirement is only needed when the user is forming the particular summon for the first time as the corpse will help the summon to take complete form.]

Then Shin picked up a goblin corpse and placed it in front of the shadow and commanded it to fuse. The wisp of shadows immediately took over the corpse and a transformation started. The entire corpse turn black and then transform into a ball of black ball which merged with the shadow wisp. Then finally the combined ball of wisps started to take a humanoid form.

After the transformation was completed which took about 10 seconds, what was in front of shin did'nt look gobin at all. In front of him was a figure 1m tall, jet black skin and fur, as if someone looks through it, they would feel as if they were looking at the abyss. The figure had a golden pupils with golden colour marking over his body specifically, arms and legs. It also had purple colored furs on his hands and feet which looked like purple flames. Then when he looked into the summons's eyes he could see respect and admiration in it which proved the fact that they had intellect.

Then it knelt down and spoke "master, thank you for creating me, I would be extremely grateful if you could bestow me with a name." After inspecting the extremely cool looking someone in front of him shin answered "sure, I will give you one. Let's see what shall it be. Hmm. Hmm. I give you the name 'Abby' cause I was reminded of the abyss by looking at you." "Thank you very much master, I shall prove my worth by being useful to you" so then Shane looked away and gathered the remaining corpses and cores and tested the method of shadow creation.

He found out that it was not the wording that mattered but the intent behind it. You also discovered the fact that he can directly order the shadow wisp which come out of the cores to directly fuse with Abby. He asked the system about it to which he got a reply [the user can add corpses into the wisps to give it a humanoid body and create another summon. If not, for the purpose of being more efficient the function of directly fusing has been a part of the ability shadow creation. ]

[The summon can absorb the corpse to get a little stronger by converting the corpse into pure energy which would be done automatically when the summon absorbs corpses. The user needs to reminded that only if there is no cores, will corpses be used as a replacement in the process of making a summon. The reason for this being, was that a part of soul get stored into the core after any being's death and if the core is not present, then this small part of the soul is stored in the body of the being. ]

[This part of the soul as well as the energy from the core/corpse is used to the foundation for creation of the summon, this is also the reason someone had intellect when it was just born.]

After understanding the entire process of his ability, he thought and commanded all the shadow wisps from the cores to fuse with Abby He also asked Abby to absorb the corpses. No physical changes for seen on Abby but shin could feel it being a little stronger than it was before. Shin after examining Abby had his eyes focus on the stick like weapon it was holding, 'so Abby's main weapon should be stick I should teach him basics of stick fighting, although different from a spear I could still teach it thing or two.'

After that he remember that he had lots of planning to do for him to be able to take on the entire town of goblins. 'I would have to reduce their numbers first but I have to make sure that I don't alert them. Shin looked at Abby 'I can make him even stronger slowly by all the goblins I will kill.' Then shin called Abby "go and scout the area and find out a small group of goblins for me, so that we can test out your strength." "Yes master" Abby said as he walked away.

'hmmm. This hunt probably take a lot of time. I should Start learning about magic. So firstly, I will meditate and try to move the mana which should be present inside of me like it is always mentioned in the mangas and fanfics. If it works then Well and good, if not then I will have to look for something else. Hopefully it works as I don't know any other method. I can maybe ask the system. But I don't wanna rely on it completely since there is no fun in that.'

As he was thinking Abby be returned from his scouting "master there are 5 different groups nearby ranging from 5 to 10 goblins in each group" shin then replied "take me to one of it and Abby you would be fighting the group so make your selection carefully according to what you think, you can handle." Shin then moved towards the direction Abby pointed at after It thought a little.

After walking for a while shin came across a group of 7 goblins. He then turned to Abby and said, "you should fight one goblin first to correctly measure your strength and only then fight the other ones accordingly. Yeah and make sure to do it as silently as possible. Even though sound may not travel very far it would be best if we be cautious so that we don't regret it later." "Yes master."

Then shin picked up a stone and threw it on the side of a goblin and the goblin started looking around. It came near where shin and Abby where to which shin nodded his head and using his eyes signaled Abby to fight it.

Abby accepted the command and came out of the bushes and attacked the goblin, while swinging his stick at it. The stick hit the hands of the goblin which made it drop its weapon and then Abby used to stick and attacked on its legs before the goblin could even react. This caused the goblin to lose his balance and before it could even make a small noise its head was knocked by the stick which knocked it out . Once it was down Abby used his stick to attack the head of the goblin multiple times over which caused the entire head of the goblin to be crushed into a mess, killing off the goblin. The entire site was not good to look at causing shin who was watching from the side to wince.

Then shin congratulated Abby for his first kill and praise his fight to which Abby thanked his master. Then shin after seeing how easily Abby took down the goblin which could purely be considered a level 0 concluded that Abby should have a strength of an early level 1.

Then Shin allowed his summon to go and kill the rest of the goblins to which it nodded and went forward. With this the group of goblins were surprised, but immediately some of them rain forward and started attacking Abby. Abby notice this as he swung his stick blocking all the attacks simultaneously coming at him. After blocking he singled out the goblins and started knocking them down by first hitting the legs and then their heads. Once the goblin is knocked out Abby used to stick to crush their heads whenever he got the chance. The entire fight took a be about 5 minutes, for Abby was using these small goblin to get used to fighting a group.

Once every goblin was dead, shin ask Abby to collect the core but before it could nod his system sounded after which shin stopped Abby [the user need not to remove the cores from the corpses he can directly order them to fuse with already existing summon]

Shin then ordered for his skill to work and fuse, thus wisp of shadows started to form out of the entire corpses and went towards Abby and fused with him, shin could again notice that Abby was growing stronger by a little amount.

The system once again sounded [once Abby gross a little stronger, he would be able to automatically fuse with any monsters it wants by just touching the corpse and willing for it to happen. Once Abby gets to that stage of strength, he would also be able to store things directly into the system inventory and if he wants to retrieve something, he needs permission from the owner. The user will also gain the telepathy between the owner and the particular summon]

Then shin asked "can you tell me how much stronger Abby needs to get for that to happen." [The system will tell the user about it when the user reaches level one of the this world security system.] "Oh okay" shin didn't start thinking about the reason, system was not telling him the information now, 'I will ask about it when I reach level one.'

After this they went into different directions to search and hunt for various groups of goblins. Shin said, "bring all the corpses and cores of the goblins you hunted, then meet me tonight when the sun sets at the same place where I created you." Abby replied "okay master" after which he went away.

Shin also started looking for different groups, which he came across but this time instead of killing them immediately, he took inspiration from Abby and limited his strength and then fought the goblins to increase his experience.

As time passed and the sun was about to set shin had hunted more than 20 groups of goblins and collected about 200 cores in this entire session, and the worst thing was collecting the corpses into the inventory which he absolutely disgusted. He then thought 'I should return and meet up with Abby and upgrade him after which I'll return home and have a nice bath to remove the bad smell coming from the goblins blood on me.' He ended with trying to smell himself which caused him to crunch his nose.

Afterwards he went back to the place they had agreed to meet.
