Unlucky event and The wakizashi

When the snake reached the surface all it could hear was the sounds of battle coming from the other wall. Since the house it was in was pretty much on the other side of town, it couldn't make out what was happening, although there was a weird gagging sound coming from that direction the snake didn't dare to investigate.

Leaving the house was surprisingly easy. The snake thought that the women would have one last line of defense as a fail-safe but that never happened. Getting outside the sound of fighting intensified. In the sky, it could see flashes of light accompanied by roars and still that weird gagging noise. Knowing that there is another gate the snake snuck there hiding from the occasional ordinary human that would peep out of their windows every once in a while.

By the time it reached the back gate the sounds of the fight were already starting to slow down. Even still to its dismay, the back gate was locked up tight even though there were very few guards, if they saw it they would have more then enough time to sound the alarm exposing it to the other humans. Left with no choice the snake turned around and moved quickly through shadowed alleys to reach the front gate.

What it saw was a bit more than shocking. One side of the wall had a hole smashed through it and there were humans and monsters fighting in and around it. The other side of the wall looked like someone bit a chunk out of it and then threw it up. Further down the wall it finally found the source of the gagging sound. It was a middle-aged man who looked like he would kill someone just for them overlapping his shadow. it was easy to tell that he was a monster with a human body, that fierce nature could not be very easily hidden. He had an overbearing aura about him and would have looked very scary if not for the fact that he was currently covered in his own tear, mucus, and throw up. It was a very disgusting sight. His aura was very chaotic and even though he was fighting 3 other people, he was glaring daggers at one of the figures at the top of the wall. Even though the snake couldn't see the figure clearly it didn't take it more than a glance to know that it was the daughter of that she-devil.

The snake really wanted to attack her and get revenge but it knew that was impossible right now. Not only was she in the middle of a fight between very strong beings she was also just as strong as the snake. Feeling the ting in its belly it grew confident that it wouldn't take long for it to come back stronger. The snake snorted and turn to have a peek at the 3 figures fighting the monster guy and all it could think was that it was a very weird combination. One of them was a large man with one arm. His hand was the size of a wagon wheel. What was really weird was that his aura was very weak in fact it wasn't much stronger than the young she-devil. Yet every attack although not doing much damage, would cause the monster guy to stumble backward and need to spend time readjusting himself while dodging attacks from the other two.

The second was a wolf armor thing that the snake was pretty confused about. There was clearly no one in the armor yet it was the main one taking blows from the monster guy. It was a strange sight, to say the least, but what really frightened it was the last figure. It was definitely a ghost monster. These monsters were rare to the point of only being able to hear rumors about them. There was a saying that ghost monsters could possess anything. If it hid all of its aura then even a divine realm being without special abilities wouldn't be able to tell if something was possessed. The most frightening thing was that a ghost monster only really needs to release its aura and sit back and watch. After a period of time, the ordinary humans would slowly die, leaving behind their souls for the ghost to devour and if someone were to come to investigate the deaths, it could completely hide its aura and wait for them to go away. Unless the were willing to destroy the entire town looking for it. Chance of them finding it was close to none.

This one had clearly possessed a doll. It was a doll not even 3 feet tall. It had a flawless body and looked like a young growing child if one were to just see it laying around but now it had a grin on its face that cut from ear to ear. A long tongue that put even the snakes to shame would occasionally flick out of its mouth to lick its teeth. It was constantly throwing balls of screaming faces at the monster guy who would do everything in his power to try to avoid them. While doing this it would let out a childish giggle that sent chills throughout its body.

Fearing for its little life the snake slowly made it's way through the dark alleys hoping to get closer to the hole where the other monsters and humans were fighting. Most of its focus was still on the large fight between the 4 beings that it didn't notice a pair of gleaming eyes watching it from a window not too far it. Just as fate would have it. The one-armed man was knocked away smashing into a wall not too far from the snake's hiding place, causing it to flinch and freeze up. The pair of eyes flashed with excitement and without hesitation, the person jumped from his hiding spot just above the snakes head. Falling With a wakizashi pointed straight for the snakes head.

"Pierce it to death!" The boys' shout had alerted the snake but because it had frozen up it barely reacted in time to shift its head slightly.

'Shhhhhunk!' The short sword pierced through its eye and the roof of its mouth before stopping.

"SSSSHHHAAAAA!" The snake flailed its head in pain snaking the boy into a nearby wall. The boy was jubilant over his successful sneak attack and didn't even see it coming when he was smashed into the wall. Smashing into the wall not only forced the boy to let go. It also lodged the blade into its head making it shout in pain again. The bald one-armed man had just pulled himself from the rubble when he heard the sound and what he saw was a snake attacking a human. Without even thinking he charged at the snake, reaching it in no time flat. Swinging his large hand to bat the vile creature away.

The snake could do nothing but quickly curl itself into a ball. It flinched when the sword in its head knocked against its body. How would the bald man know that as soon as his hand hit the snake. A clawed hand was also making it's way over accompanied by an armored fist and ball of ghastly faces. Originally the snake would have been smashed away, crashing into the city wall killing it, but by some stroke of fortune or misfortune in the snakes' option, not that it mattered. The three attacks had collided just as the snake had flown a few feet causing its trajectory to shift upwards.

Like a grand slam had happened the poor snake seemed to have broken the sound barrier and flew over the wall and practically into the clouds. Some of the transfers would have sworn they saw a twinkle in the sky when it disappeared from sight.

The poor boy was also in the range of the attack but he wasn't lucky enough to be sent out of range and even if the bald one-armed man tried to shield him, he was still pretty much torn apart by the after-effects of the blast. The man sighs with frustration and could only rejoin the attack on the beast-man who seemed to want to break away from the fight and leave. It seemed that the two others wanted him to stay and were fighting with renewed vigor to keep him from escaping. The man didn't notice the sheath that was at the boy's side turn into dust and that dust blow into the direction of where the snake was blown away too.

Almighty knows how far the snake was blown away or how unlucky it was to fly over a giant waterfall straight into a giant whirlpool below the waterfall, a hole in one if any transfer had any say in it. The poor snake didn't even have a chance to catch its breath before it was sucked into the whirlpool sent spinning and smashing into any wall along the way before flying out of a hole somewhere underground and shooting off the top of an underground waterfall.

Good thing this waterfall wasn't very tall, only about five meters in high. Even still the snake hit the ground rolling somehow rolling up a short hill before smashing into something causing it to puke up the cage that was in its mouth. Even after all that the snake had gone through the cage was somehow still intact at the moment though bouncing and rolling down the hill seemed to have been the straw that broke the camels back and it smashed open. The little green cub inside it rolled the last bit of the way down the hill before stopping just at the shore of the pond with the waterfall. Still asleep as if it wasn't nearly killed numerous times.

At this point, the snake had been pretty much smashed into a lump of skin and flesh. By some miracle was still conscious. It's only good eye staring listlessly at the green cub at the bottom of the hill. It's only chance of survival had gotten away from it. It had risked its life for a chance to change its destiny. To escape the misery that had befallen its mother and younger sister. Even after all the escaping, the hiding and the disguising. Only to end up in the hands of another. Maybe it's only luck back then was the death of the duo who had captured it.

When it first laid eyes upon the cub it felt as if its entire being had been drawn to it. As if it had finally found its path of freedom, It's only chance to escape its destiny. Happiness came so quickly, getting the cub and feeling its energy confirmed its thoughts that it could definitely break away from the chains of fate and rescuing its mother and sister from the hands of that fiend. It had tried so hard to escape only to have it foiled by a kid who it could have killed with a flick of its tail. Being it by four beings far above it in every way before being tossed about like an egg in a blender and finally dropped in a place that could only become its burial ground. If it still had the cub in its mouth then maybe just maybe it could have drawn upon its energy to heal itself from the brink of death but even that was denied it.

It had just wanted to live. It wanted to save its family. It had wanted to go against those who sought to use it to their advantage and get quick power-ups. It had seen with its own eyes how its mother and sister were unwillingly turned. If its mother hadn't fought with its life on the line and its sister hadn't sacrificed her own body to allow it to escape. It would have followed the same faith. Tears began to pour from its eyes. Now it couldn't even struggle. It could only die slowly even the pain it felt was washed away and only a numb feeling was left.

Just as it was finally accepting its unwilling death. It felt a slight warmth. Coming from the short sword lodged in its face was a fading glow. Its blade was covered in cracks and barely seems to stay together. Staring at the blade the snake seems to feel that the blade shared its feeling, its helplessness, its sorrows, and the longing to protect those it loved and cared for but the snake also felt that the sorrow of the blade was much deeper than its. The snake felt that the sword was telling it that it had long since failed to protect its loved ones and it no longer had a chance. It seemed to want to give the snake the chance to save its loved ones where it had failed to save its.

The snake was lost for a moment but noticed that the glow on the wakizashi was fading quickly and even it could tell that it was dying just as fast. With a flicker of determination passing though its eyes it activated the forbidden innate skill that all members of its species were born with but none would willingly use it. The red cloud-like shape on its forehead began to branch out and some of it connected to the sword in its head while the rest quickly covered its body turn its pure white body from white with red clouds to red with white clouds. After a moment the red began to rush towards the sword starting from the tail leaving nothing behind. It just started to disappear. Slowly the snake began to disappear but it paid this now mind as if it felt nothing. With its only eye, the snake stared at the sword.

"My name is ●●●●●●●. What's yours?" After a silent moment, the sword also answered.

"My name is also ●●●●●●●."

With only its head left a bit of surprise flashed through its eye. "What a coincidence maybe this was destiny. Maybe I really will be able to save my mother and sister. We could do it together."

With a final flash, the wakizashi was the only thing left. Originally It looks like an ordinary wakizashi. The hilt was light-blue with a tsuba made of two slim swirls of metal looping around the blade to make an open oval, resembling an "S".  Now the light-blue had changed to a mixture of blue and red with white cloud patterns. The blade fell to the ground, stabbing into it. Not long later a sheath appeared next to it. The same color as the hilt. The surroundings returned to its original tranquility. The only new thing here was the short sword and a small sleeping green wolf cub near the pond.
