Chapter 11: Finding Venice

Elisse's POV

When I woke up, I was shocked when I noticed that Venice was not there so I woke up Suzy immediately.

Where did she go?

"Suzy! I can't find Venice!" I said. I'm almost screaming because I'm afraid that there might something wrong happened to her.

"Hmmm? She's just eating, for sure." She said and she covered her face with a pillow.

"She's missing!" I shouted.

"She is just in the bathroom." Suzy said. Why isn't she listening to me?!

"Hey! This is serious! Venice is missing!" I said again. I knew she's already annoyed but she really have to get up.

Suzy immediately woke up and shouted.

"Why?! She's just eating! Gosh, Elisse! I'm having my beauty sleep!" She complained.

"Venice, she's not here Suzy! Why aren't you worried about it?!" I said.

She looked around.

"Where did that vampire go?" Suzy asked.

"Why are you asking me? I don't know where she is either. Let's go find her." I said.

Ryelee and Viana suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Good morning, ladies!" They both said. They are really cute. No, no. We should focus on finding Venice.

"Girls, have you seen Venice?" I asked them. They both shook their heads at the same time.

"By the way, the uniforms that the Princess have requested are in your closets is already." Viana said and they opened our closets.

Our uniforms look so fantastic. For the first time, I can finally wear a school uniform.

"We will be absent for today. We will look for Venice." Suzy told them.

"We'll help, lady Suzy!" Said Ryelee, Suzy's assistant fairy.

"Oh, don't. Just tell the Headmistress that we will look for Venice." I told them.

"Aw." They said and they pout. Gosh, I would love to pinch their fluffy cheeks.

"Get ready now, Elisse." Said Suzy.

Here we are outside the school. Headmistress Gazelle allowed us to find Venice and return to the academy before sunset.

"Be careful. Come back as soon as you find Venice." Said Headmistress Gazelle.

"Yes, Headmistress. We're leaving now." I told the Headmistress.

We got on the back of the two horses. Headmistress Gazelle provided each of us with a horse to ride. We might get tired of walking.

"Kyaaa!" Suzy shouted and our horses ran.

Where are you in Venice? I hope you are okay.

Maybe she left because she was upset with me? I hope not. If she sulks, I would really blame Harold.

But it was also my fault. I let myself dance with Prince Harold last night.

We have arrived at the Gemstone village. Maybe Venice is here. Suzy and I got off our horse and started walking.

"Do you know any place here in the village where Venice used to go to?" I asked Suzy.

"Uhm, there is. In a dress shop." She says.

I just followed Suzy and went to the dress shop she was talking. When we arrived there, the dress shop was close.

"She's not here. Where did she go then?" Suzy asked.

We walked again. The sun is shining and I am thirsty.

I noticed a store of apples. The one with the old woman back then. But, the old woman is no longer the seller. It's a different one. But I still remember the face of that old woman. Why did she smile at me then? Weird.

"You really seem having some deep thoughts there, huh?" Suzy asked.

"Huh? It's nothing. I just remembered something." I said.

"I'm hungry." Said Suzy.

"I am too." I said. In fact, I was already hungry since we left the academy. We have not eaten our breakfast earlier.

Since we are hungry now, we went to a bakery. We bought two breads and immediately ate it. Then, we left the bakery and started walking again.

"Elisse!" Suzy and I suddenly turned around when someone called my name. I saw a man running towards me.

It's my brother!

"Brother Nathan!" I shouted. I still have bread in my mouth so I can't talk properly.

"What are you doing here?" Brother asked me.

"We are looking for our friend Venice." I said.

"Huh?" He asked. I ate the bread first before I spoke again.

"I said, we are looking for Venice." I said.

"Who is Venice?" Nathan asked.

"Our friend. This is Suzielette. I call her Suzy." I told Nathan as I pat Suzy's shoulder.

"Ah. Hi Susi!" Nathan said to Suzy.

"It's Suzy, mister. Not Susi." Suzy said to Nathan.

"Ah, I'm sorry. All right then, I'll be leaving you now. We already miss you, Elisse!" Nathan said and he ran away.

"Was that your older brother?" Suzy asked me.

I nodded. "Yes why?"

"Ah, nothing. I was just asking." She says.

"Come on. We're still looking for a crazy vampire." I told Suzy.

We got on our horse again. My feet can no longer handle it.

"Where are we going?" I asked. I barely know Venice so I don't have any idea where she could be.

"That's also my question." Said Suzy.

We left Gemstone Village.

Ay! I need Viana's help. I would like to ask if Venice has returned. I should've thought about it earlier.

I called Viana through my mind and she suddenly appeared.

"Why, lady Elisse?" Viana asked and she was still eating a donut.

"Is Venice already at school?" I asked her.

"Not yet, my lady." She says.

Where is she? Argh, this is taking too long.

"Viana, we need some help. I need you and Ryelee." I said.

"All right. Wait, I'll call Ryelee." Viana said and she suddenly disappeared. After a while, Viana returned with Ryelee.

"What can we do to help?" Ryelee asked.

"You will help us find Venice." Said Suzy.

Venice's POV

"Where's Mom?" I asked Dad.

"She visited the Gemstone Kingdom. I heard King Oliver has something to tell to them." Dad replied.

"Dad, when is Mom coming back?" I asked him.

"Maybe later. There are other Royals in the Gemstone Kingdom as well." Dad answered.

"Eh, why didn't you come along?" I asked again.

"Because the Amethyst family and I even talked about your wedding with Prince Jayles."

"I haven't even agreed yet."

"Just agree with this, Venice. It's for your own future." Dad said and he left my room.

My situation is a mess right now. Why do I even have to marry that Prince I hate?

Suddenly my pixie appeared. It's Dixie!

"Lady Suzielette and lady Elisse are looking for you. Hooo! We've been looking for you for a long time." She says. Aw. They are so sweet. They really looked for me.

"All right, I'll be back later." I told her and she suddenly disappeared.

I left my room and went to the Royal Hall.

"Dad, I'm going back to school." I told him.

"Sure." Dad smiled at me.

I teleported and I am here in our dorm room. Elisse and Suzy are not here. Probably still looking for me, hehe. But there is a letter on my bed.

Hey vampire! Where did you go? We are looking for you now. Tell your pixie if you are already here so she can let us know right away.

I just smiled.

"I love you both." I said and kissed the letter. Ew. Haha. I really love those two.

I was surprised when Dixie, Ryelee, and Viana suddenly appeared. The three of them are cute.

"You are here, lady Venice!" Said Dixie.

"Lady Venice! Lady Elisse and lady Suzy are missing!" Said Viana. I suddenly let go of the letter.

Is that true? Are they both missing?

"What?!"
