Chapter 4 A birthday disaster

Two years later....

"Are you ready to go Zara? Pa is waiting for you "ma said." I am coming, just one last thing",I said.

You see that day was a special day for me. It was my birthday, i mean I was sixteen and i was really excited . Ma and pa were taking me out and i was excited. i was dressed in a flair yellow short dress and a brown sandal, my hair was packed into a bun by ma ,it had become a tradition for her to do it and i enjoyed it.

We got into the car and Pa drove off . We were enjoying the scenery as Pa drove ..... We were so distracted that when we looked back on the road there was a deer trying to cross the road, Pa tried to avoid it and all i remember was waking up in Pa's car which was upside down and Ma and Pa covered with blood they were stuck and struggling. I kept screaming and screaming but no one came to our rescue. Zara we love you, ma said and next thing i knew pa said the car was leaking gas . i screamed and screamed but no one answered. Zara ,you can crawl out through the window we will be ok ,Someone will save us,we will always be with you, Pa said . Reluctantly, i agreed before I could turn my back the car was consumed with fire . I screamed for help continuously until people heard me and came but it was too late Ma and Pa were burnt into crisps.

i cried and cried but there was no more ma and pa to comfort me. Few days later, i was taken to live with Pa's sister, aunt Molly.
