CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR: Punch and warning

Jillian's Pov

I woke up to see Jack already dressed in a fine suit.

His hair was nearly comb, he look more of a business man today.

He smile at me when he saw me awake.

I rub my eyes.

" You should have wake me up " i said sluggishly before getting out of bed to get ready.

I emerges from the bathroom minutes later to see a short pink skirt, a white top and a higheel on the dresser. I smile, this must be Maureen's.

I quickly get dress, letting my hair to fall on my shoulder.

I step out of Jack's room and walk down to the living room but no one is there. I could hear their voices coming from the dinning room.

I walk into the dinning room and suddenly the conversation stopped.

Maureen stare at me before smiling.

" It fitted you right " she said.

Jack eye me hungrily and i laugh.

I quickly sat down to pick up a fork.

I'm hungry.

Yesterday has been an hectic day.

I will listen to Jack this time, the idea of his punishment when i make him upset is very overwhelming.

I can't accept it.

I will go back to my normal days, modelling.

But i know inwardly that nothing will get back to normal.

I am already in love with this handsome, over confident Young man.

I saw laura coming out from the direction of the kitchen to serve me.

I stare at her uncomfortably before dropping the fork.

" Oh i forgot! I am on diet " i said getting on my feet.

I saw Jack smiling as he sip his coffee.

" Sit " he mouthed.

I stare at him cocking an eyebrow then i finally lower myself to sit unwillingly.

Laura serve me smiling at me then she went away.

I stare at my breakfast before me and my stomach grumble in protest.

" Eat, she won't poison the food. I make her eat from it " Jack said

I smile in response before eating.

After a long while we are all ready to go to our various outing.

Maureen gave me a hug and i linger onto her longer this time.

" I will give you a call " i said to her before going out to meet Jack and han.

Jack was waiting for me beside my car.

I walk to him .

He pull me closer and hug me.

I love the feeling of being in his arms, he pull away seconds later to gaze into my eyes, his jaw clenched.

" Do not try going to Zach as his wife ... Okay? " He said with a tone that command authority.

I nodded slightly and he placed a kiss on my forehead, he nodded to han and the latter responded by nodding as well.

I crease my face in confusion, good! It seems they have something going on.

Jack released his hold on me and walk to his car driving away.

I turn to han

" I will drive, you are still recovering " i said but he shook his head.

" I am fine now, i am your chauffeur... Remember? "

" I know, and also the father to Maureen's unborn child " i said before entering the car.

Han stood there for a moment before joining me.

" You look beautiful today " han complimented and i smile.

" Jack never said that to me " i said rolling my eyes.

Han did not reply to this, he just smile and then pull out.

Larry call came in at that moment.

I picked it up quickly.

" Jilly your holiday is off " he said and i laughs.

" Yes, I Know. It isn't as if you let me off anyway " i said rolling my eyes.

" Whatever, the products you will be modeling for claw foot club is next week so you have to brace yourself for a very busy week "

I sighed heavily.

That is so much of larry.

" I know "

" Where are you at the moment? "

" On my way back home "

" Good, meet me at claw foot club. We need to discuss about the product you will be advertising "

" Oh okay " i said and hang up.

I turn to han.

" Claw foot club please, oh! it's been a while i visit that sky scraper- like company. "

After a long drive, han finally pull into claw foot club garage.

I alighted from the car and so did han.

I could hear the comments from the staffs i passed by .

I am very grateful to Maureen for the wonderful dressed, then suddenly i saw a group of reporter trying hard come closer to me.

I glanced around to see everyone busy speaking to each other.

What's going on ?

The reporters and the conversation between the staffs is clearly not about me.

I turn to han slowly.

" What's going on ? " I asked him confused.

He appear to be surprised as well.

Then i heard Larry's voice, i quickly walk towards him.

" What causes the commotion?" I asked him.

He stare at me blankly " don't you know? " He asked and i shook my head impatiently.

" Jack mayor is here , the reporters appear from no where the next minute the professional swimmer enter "

I exhaled sharply in shock then i remembered.

" Oh my goodness! He told me he is coming to claw foot club today " i said.

I dash towards Zach's office.

I could hear the conversation.

I push open the door and enter, Larry and han followed.

Mr Mike expression was of great anger. Zach Mike mouth was dripping blood at the corner, i gasped turning to see Jack grim expression.

They all turn to me.

" Oh Jill, you are here. Good ! " Jack said smiling.

I turn to him in confusion.

What is he doing?

I know fully well that Jack Mayor won't stand still when he heard Zach's bad deed but this right here is not what i have imagine him to do.

I have expected him to go to the cops but then remembrance hit me again.

Jack has said no cop will arrest the mikes.

I smile inwardly, this is so like Jack Mayor.

I have seen him using his fist before.

He should have been a boxer then.

" Zach," Jack called him coldly and I flinch when he grabbed zach by the collar.

This right here is the jack mayor people talks about. The arrogant and ruthless yet handsome.

" If you dare ever lay your filthy hands again on my sister or my woman I won't come here to throw a punch. No i won't, trust me. " He said to Zach in the coldest voice i have ever heard. My mouth went dry as i listen to Jack's threats.

He then released Zach roughly before turning to Mr Mike who is beside himself with great anger.

" Continue threatening her with her career, it will be your loss if you loose her to mayors creation " he said before walking out but then he stop suddenly and turn to the mikes.

" I will advise you to go easy on Jill from now on, no much schedule because she might be carrying my baby " he said smiling before walking out.

I stare blankly ahead as the words came ringing.

She might be carrying my baby!!!

I sighed softly, never had the thought occurs to me.

Well, he is very right! I might be carrying jack mayor's baby.
