It Might Be You, My Darling [Volume One Completed]

Which SECRET will you keep for the rest of your life? She wakes up without a recollection of the other night's event. Krishna was horrid as realization hit her one morning. She had a one-night stand with a stranger! Why did she end up in the bed naked, pain searing all over her body, and no sight of her companion last night? As she could not comprehend what happened to her, memories of last night disappeared without a trace, whereas memories from the distant past resurfaced and muddled her head greatly. ‘What is going on? Why do I remember nothing, but I could recall some events during my childhood?’ What mystery surrounded that night, and she could not fathom being in an unfamiliar place without recollection? ~ “I want you to break up with him!” said the dude, who appeared out of nowhere. ‘The audacity of this man?’ She was pinned to the wall, and the crazy guy yelled this in her face. “What are you talking about? Do I even know you?” she snapped, glaring at the stranger. ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know him at all!’ She only wanted to enjoy the vacation she won over the lottery. However, she was being attacked by gorgeous men out of nowhere! “Who are you?” another man who blocked her in the hallway asked. “Huh? Isn’t I the one supposed to ask you this question? Who are you? I am certain we have never met before.” Even though she snapped at him, the man seemed confused by her answer. “Is that so? Then? Why do you keep appearing in my dreams?” Krishna was rendered speechless. ‘I thought this joke was outdated! Someone has still had the thick face to use for advances!’ I think I’m going crazy one of these days! First, I was mistaken for someone’s mistress. Now, I am somebody’s girlfriend. Maybe tomorrow, I will become someone’s wife. Great! How ironic would that be!? ~ Chapter Release Schedule: TUESDAY - THURSDAY - SATURDAY (This book is under massive editing.) Who Are You?

"Leonard, here, take your medicine to subdue the pain." The woman, with the identity of Marilyn Greene, handed a pill to her husband, along with a glass of water.

Leonard obediently ate the pill and emptied the glass. After he took his medicine, he returned the glass to his wife, leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes.

Marilyn constricted her eyes as she watched her husband—although Leonard seemed obedient to her in the eyes of an outsider. Deep down, the man was more likely to ignore her presence.

'I already did everything! Why is your heart still locked and never open it to me? You've already forgotten her. It is oblivious to you, but your heart is still aching for her! George… What should I do so that you'll love me? What does she have that I don't have?'

Marilyn suppressed the emotion harboring in her chest. Otherwise, she could not stop her tears from flooding her eyes.

Soon enough, Marilyn regained her composure. This time, the pain lingering in her heart and hatred flashing in her eyes pushed carefully to hide and replaced with a soft gaze.

"I'll go get your lunch and bring it here. Please have some food so that you can properly take some rest afterward." Marilyn waited for Leonard to answer. Thinking that he was drowsy because of the medicine, she left in silence and let him rest while the stew she was preparing hadn't finished cooking.

When the sound of the door was gently shut, Leonard immediately opened his eyes. He didn't move in his chair, but his eyes fixed on the computer screen that turned off after having not used it for a certain period.

It's been two years and six months since he woke up inside a villa without remembering who he was. Instead, a woman who introduced herself as his wife told him about an incident after his bloody encounter with their enemies.

Marilyn told him—he was in a coma for several years. If it weren't for the photos hanging around the bedroom, he would not believe her or anyone since he had no recollection of anything.

However, he has often had this dream in the past two years—a beautiful woman with a gentle smile across her lovely face.

She possessed a rare beauty and could be compared to an angel descending from heaven. However, the woman is calling him George.

Who is George?

The woman and the name George haunt him for over two years.

Then, the other day, he crossed paths with that woman, and she was his enemy's lover, George.

So why is he dreaming of her and another man?

After that encounter, he tried to recall his entire dream. Although his dream wasn't showing his silhouette, his perspective was very clear that the woman was talking to him.

He doesn't understand why he dreams of her being intimate with another man.

Why does it appear that she was actually calling her boyfriend George, but the perspective is his?

Why did he feel like he was the man she was talking to, and they were even intimate sometimes?

It felt so real that they were kissing, and she would rest her head on his shoulder. He then held her hand and planted tiny kisses on the back of her palm.

If the woman is Krishna Palermo and the man is George Graham. What is his connection to them, and he's dreaming about them not just a few times but countless times?

He did not understand at all. Either way, he couldn't connect anything, even how he would try to put the pieces together like it was a giant puzzle.

"Who are you? Why did you become a beautiful nightmare in my life, Krishna Palermo?"

Whenever he dreamed of her, he felt a warmth in his heart. He knew he had fallen in love with her, even if he only met her in his dreams.

'Dammit! I should not covet someone else when I have a family.'

Even though he didn't remember Marilyn, nor did he have a dream about her even once, there was some evidence that they were a lawful husband and wife, and now they have two children: a girl and a boy. Although his son does not resemble him, he is his flesh and blood.

His son was diagnosed with leukemia and needed blood. Thus, when his blood was tested to see if he was qualified to transfuse it to his son, the result was positive, and ninety-nine percent said they were a match.

Maybe his son got his distant ancestors' facial features, the reason they have no similarities, whereas his daughter was a spitting image of Marilyn.

'I need to do something so that there will be an answer to all the questions that are long hidden deep in my heart. Maybe I should find a way to talk with that woman. But she seemed not to know who I was. What is it really?'

These thoughts even give him a severe headache.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Marilyn grabbed the knife and chopped the vegetables with rage.

'Ahhh! Why did she suddenly show up here in M Country? Spain is too far away! And for so many places for that woman to visit, why must it be here in Mainland City?'

The servants who were helping Marilyn prepare lunch were frightened when she suddenly ventured her anger to the poor vegetables. They could not help but shrink their bodies into the corner and stay far away from their lady boss. They feared that her anger shifted toward them.

Out of the blue, a loud ring startled the maids and even worsened the tension. On the contrary, the lady boss stopped murdering the poor cabbage.

"Hello?" A tinge of annoyance could be sensed in her voice. She didn't care to soften her tone since the person on the other line was the man she sent out to gather news about the mercenaries she ordered to kill Krishna Palermo. "Have you located Frankie and his team?"

"Boss, one of our men tailing Frankie confirmed Rowan Graham apprehended them with the help of the Alliance."

Marilyn narrowed her gaze as she heard this bad news. Seething with anger, she sneered at the phone. "Are we letting them die in their hands?"

"Boss, Frankie was brought inside Ocean View Resort, George Graham's territory. I could not pinpoint which exact location they were brought to since the premises have an anti-locator system. It only blocks my attempt to reach out to our men."

"Ahh!" Marilyn threw the knife in her hand, and it darted to the cupboards in the left row. The servants were shivering from fear, almost peeing on their underwear.

Marilyn lost the mood to continue cooking.

"Finish them cooking as soon as possible!" She yelled at the servants hiding in the corner before she stepped out of the kitchen.

"We got it, Mrs. Greene!" The two servants were trembling as they replied to her at the same time. Just then, they were able to let out a sigh of relief when their boss left.

Marilyn went to the living room and sat on a single-seater couch. The call just ended, but another call came in. Although the screen only flashes a series of numbers, she was familiar with these numbers.

"Hello, Stella?" Marilyn had already adjusted her mood. She answered the call smiling since the person on the other line was her beloved good friend.
