It Might Be You, My Darling [Volume One Completed]

Which SECRET will you keep for the rest of your life? She wakes up without a recollection of the other night's event. Krishna was horrid as realization hit her one morning. She had a one-night stand with a stranger! Why did she end up in the bed naked, pain searing all over her body, and no sight of her companion last night? As she could not comprehend what happened to her, memories of last night disappeared without a trace, whereas memories from the distant past resurfaced and muddled her head greatly. ‘What is going on? Why do I remember nothing, but I could recall some events during my childhood?’ What mystery surrounded that night, and she could not fathom being in an unfamiliar place without recollection? ~ “I want you to break up with him!” said the dude, who appeared out of nowhere. ‘The audacity of this man?’ She was pinned to the wall, and the crazy guy yelled this in her face. “What are you talking about? Do I even know you?” she snapped, glaring at the stranger. ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know him at all!’ She only wanted to enjoy the vacation she won over the lottery. However, she was being attacked by gorgeous men out of nowhere! “Who are you?” another man who blocked her in the hallway asked. “Huh? Isn’t I the one supposed to ask you this question? Who are you? I am certain we have never met before.” Even though she snapped at him, the man seemed confused by her answer. “Is that so? Then? Why do you keep appearing in my dreams?” Krishna was rendered speechless. ‘I thought this joke was outdated! Someone has still had the thick face to use for advances!’ I think I’m going crazy one of these days! First, I was mistaken for someone’s mistress. Now, I am somebody’s girlfriend. Maybe tomorrow, I will become someone’s wife. Great! How ironic would that be!? ~ Chapter Release Schedule: TUESDAY - THURSDAY - SATURDAY (This book is under massive editing.) Two Women Spending The Same Man's Money

[ Introducing the latest ANNA'S COLLECTION for Spring Season ]

[ NEW DESIGNS, NEW FACE ]

[ Watch out for their new clothing line… ]

The giant LED screen inside the mall lit up, and an AI hologram introduced Anna's latest collection.

Watching the ads on the billboard, I tried to focus; however, standing on my right side, Stella did not stop praising me.

"You were so pretty, Krishna!"

I'm still in a daze, staring at the billboard exhibiting ANNA'S COLLECTION's latest design worn by me as the new ambassador. It was me, the fresh face in the ad it mentioned.

From what I discovered, I want to assume why most people I've met in the mall were looking at me curiously, scanning me from the head down to my shoes while whispering to each other.

I thought they were comparing me to the three gorgeous people I was with. Little did I know it was because of the ads at the center park billboard inside the mall. Maybe it is not the only billboard it featured me on, but there are more photos of me throughout the mall where many shoppers recognize me.

On the other hand, I felt more discomfort being scrutinized like this. However, this is a point of no return, as I need something to hold on to.

I learned that Anna's husband is a higher official of the SWAT Team, and her father-in-law is a lawyer and owns a Law Firm. Also, her brother-in-law Attorney Keir Lawrence is working at Crow Corporation as one of its Directors, and they assigned him to the Legal Team as a Senior Officer.

The Graham family was influential. I have no chance to protect Camilla against them. It would be like punching the moon to find people I could rely on in the future unless Florian would protect her from his family.

In the meantime, I must trust Jerry's words. He told me how the Lawrence family was fighting against criminal organizations and supporting the implementation of Human Rights in the country.

Also, I learned to secure my rights and protection from my experience when someone was trying to take my ranch—all thanks to Camilla's family, who helped me win the case.

It is why I want to do everything I can to help her in any way I can.

I am not tolerating my best friend's wrongdoing, but I could not abandon Camilla. In fact, I will try to convince her to stop her madness, even though the case is pure love, because her selfishness will hurt someone.

On the one hand, I will try to understand when she had a reason for putting herself in such a controversial position—a forbidden relationship.

"So you are a model, Krishna." All of a sudden, Rowan whispered in my ear. It startled me when he suddenly made a move like that. Now I could feel my cheeks burning.

I looked up and met Rowan's curious gaze. I noticed his lips curled in an amusing smirk when he realized my face had turned red.

"I…" It was difficult to answer when Rowan's face was too close to mine. But then, my gaze passed through him, and I caught the loathing glare shot at me by Crazy George.

I look at his mouth, which is twitching with disgust. I wonder what he was muttering about again.

Well, I am sure it's an unpleasant word. Hence, I ignore him. Instead, I focused my eyes on Rowan, pursing my lips with my sweetest smile. I know Crazy George got pissed seeing it.

"I'm not really a model. I'm just working a part-time job."

"Well, that's still great! I think you were perfect for the job! I mean, you were gorgeous!" Stella uttered dreamily, and I was embarrassed by how she complimented me all over again.

My gaze lowered, and I bit my bottom lip. Doing so, I looked up and stared at Stella.

"Do you think so? I still have no confidence to pursue this career. It was so out of my league," I told her.

"Pfft. Of course, you look too ugly. Do you really think you are that pretty just because someone tells you this? Only gold di…."

"George..." Rowan shot a warning gaze at his crazy brother. The guy looked annoyed that his brother had reprimanded him.

Nonetheless, the latter shut his mouth. Probably he realized it was not a perfect time to say such words in Stella's presence.

With that, I discovered a weapon against Crazy George; he is too careful around Stella. Then, from here on, I will stick to Stella like glue.

"Let's go, Stella. Where do you want to shop first?" I asked Stella, then hooked my arm around her elbow, ignoring Crazy George's dagger glare when I did that.

I assumed that in his mind, he opposed the legal wife and the mistress being this close, like a best friend. Well, if not for my conscience eating me, even though I am not the third party but my best friend, I might consider Stella my new good friend if she would accept me even though I'm only a lowly person.

Stella came from a noble family, significantly different from my societal status. While socialites surrounded her, I belonged to a small community that didn't care or was interested in who they were. We most care about our simple daily life.

While the wealthy elite was showing off their riches and constantly vying to be the most dominant among them, the reality was insecurities tormented them.

I could not handle living in a world where competition is rampant, as it's not something I enjoy.

I wonder if Stella had real friends among the nobles. I don't see anyone tailing her around like in those telenovelas.

Anyway, that's what I saw in the movies. Haha! What am I thinking?

"Let's go look for some bags. I flew in a hurry, so I didn't bring many things with me," said Stella, and I followed her wherever she went.

Hooking at each other's elbows, we visited different stores, and Stella was so generous to herself. But I believe she only tries to relieve her broken heart. So I let her do her shopping and watched her in silence.

I flashed a smile every time Stella glanced in my direction and asked for my opinion on the bags she picked from the glass frames.

"I actually do not know bags," I told Stella with honesty.

I was embarrassed, but Stella smiled at me with utter understanding. I presume Stella is a genuine person. However, the more she is nicer to me, the more guilt eats me.

"You know what? I actually don't have any interest in filling my wardrobe. However, I'm the mighty Graham daughter-in-law. Thousands of eyes are paying attention to me. So here I am… I have to be an active socialite."

I heard the giggle in Stella's voice, which relieved me to see that, somehow, I was happy she was enjoying this shopping.

"Well, that's our secret." She added, winking at me.

"Your secret is safe," I said, pursing my lips with a fake smile. I hurl a long breath inwardly, hoping it lightens the weight in my heart.

"Okay! I'll go pay for my purchases." Stella chirped and headed to the counter with such grace.

Stella exudes such royalty grace. But those who knew the actual condition of her marriage could not help to pity her. And the person who is too concerned with it is the guy behind me.

Now that Stella was at the counter and I was ten meters away, Crazy George approached me. He leaned over and whispered,

"What's the matter? I thought Florian gave a gold digger like you a black card to buy whatever you wanted. Then why didn't you buy anything? Are you afraid the store would discover two women are spending the same man's money?"

I am wishing You a Merry Christmas, dearests!

Ignore the crazy guy in 'tis season! lol,

Happy Holidays! Hugs and kisses!
